  • success has nothing to do with money

  • Get born rich and die even richer. Good plan shit hair man.

  • how many times did he say umm or ahh? honestly i lost count...

  • he has got dyslexia like me lol

  • @imrankhan0121 LOL u mean dyslexia got has like me.

  • SIR YES SIR. WE WILL NOT TRUST YOU!!

  • I think luck comes into it also the ability to spot a growing trend.I know someone who started a housing/car insurance in the 60s and made millions but was unable to see the rise of computors and people shopping around on line, last thing I heard was he was broke and on the Dole I can see renuable energy becomming the BIG THING of the future for any up and comming entapranaur

  • branson did,nt start out rich he sold shove halfpenny boards round london pubs, working 100 hrs a week when he started out.

  • Borrowing huh, isnt that why the world is so screwed. Great advice.

    also. your cola sucked.

  • @Daystodaze I liked Virgin cola :/

  • Comment removed

  • is the best

  • branson made a fortune selling pickle

  • a friend of mine worked in virgin airlines and arrived one day late after her vacation and was very threatened to be fired. I did not know the outcome but it seemed that you get fired for arriving late. So practice what you preach Sir Branson.

  • Best business advice?

    Buy low-sell high!

  • This video has some very good advice and just because he is successful now it wasn't always that way - he failed many times and through failure created success so it goes to prove that if you keep trying and don't give up you've more chance of achieving your goal

  • david icke

    as sir charles

  • so when a bank doesnt want to loan me any money...there literally are not any other banks anywhere else in the world who is willing to offer me 30 times more than the first bank.

  • great words.

  • Thanks Ricky, much appreciated. M.

  • Ur just lucky ur an old fart born in an age where people were dumb enough to purchase records. U'd be a worthless piece of shit if u were selling records now in an age where people just download the crap.

  • @brucestrauss he did what was relevant at the time. I think he would have been successful regardless of which era he was born in. Circumstances are a factor, but he himself made it happen, not anything else.

  • I can't tell which are his front two teeth

  • start out as a rich man and you can win

  • @camarocomputer exactly how it goes. Familial dynasties man.

  • @camarocomputer Who said he started out rich??

  • @camarocomputer I feel sorry for you....seriously.

  • @camarocomputer Well it's a good thing Branson started out rich...and Steve Jobs...and Mark Zuckerberg...

  • OK weekend just started, I will call some friends to help me fund my own airline and I have a perfect brand name "Fantasy Airways"

  • Branson is a brilliant man.

  • Amazingly candid and effective. Great interview.

  • Maybe he is okay but, the truth is, most "gurus" misguide people, lie about and they simply suck! I don`t buy their crap. If it existed why all these banks are going down. Economy is going down. And, all these kind and gentle "nice pretending" so-called "experts" are somewhere in hot countries with hot women and they are laughing at you people! You better wake up and stop be fooled by ALL these suckers!

  • I like that fact that he appears to be a caring wealthy guy. And this is what counts. He talks about others in a very caring and human way. That is what makes someone successful; to be connecting with others. The age of competitive thinking is over; the age of enlightened millionaires is here. And that is great! Blessings to You!

  • When Branson started the Airlines - same as a taxi cab. It started when called Boeing and asked, what planes they had for sell and went from there. "Business is not hard - sell people something they want. Do it better than it is currently being done. Listen and win.

  • Big ideas, risk taking and hard work.. much more respect for Branson than that thieving, outsourcing pee-on Steve Jobs

  • Richard please contact me ASAP. I have a great Business proposal that will take your company as the greatest pioneer in that arena up to the next millinium. Email me andylumeh@live.co.uk

  • Brian! You owe me 5 bucks! pay up #&%@$@ &$#$r!

  • Fuck you Richard, we all know your success is due to your enchanting hair.

  • Updated version of this video:

I then got angry with my latest bank, so now I've left them.

And am currently opening my own bank! "laughs to himself"

  • The Moral of the story perhaps is to never give up,although i should change the heading to "Think Big" instead of big think.

  • @TheCheekytrucker You sound just like everyone else. I just said that's what I'm NOT looking for! I'm not looking for a road map anymore than you are. I really just wanted to hear what he had to say and possibly gain some inspiration or even spark some of my own ideas. Speaking of reading, have you really read what I said? Because you've completely misunderstood my message. Come on folks comprehend!

  • You know what's funny? so far everyone's response has been virtually the same and not only that, it's information I'm already well aware of. I'm waiting for someone to provide some useful information. I believe people are not really comprehending what I've said. That's what's very frustrating. I said time and time again, I'm not looking for the holly grail here. Just as you are, I'm looking for some insight, that's all. I believe everyone that looks in here is basically looking for the same.

  • just coming to the end of his autobiography..he is a very shrewd person with a lot of balls who also had the help of key individuals at crucial times.

Have a lot of respect for the way he conducts himself in business and personally.

  • my other half is a business man his company has just gone bust because theres no money about no more ,he will become my full time carer now .

  • 2 months later i STILL HATE the new youtube

  • HE OWNS PLUTO, I saw him in Kobe Bryant shoes commercial :D

  • He had insider information, he knew the music industry would be turned on its head with what Apple was cooking up! He had smart intel on what was going to happen! And he was able to sell & get out before getting crushed. A Brilliant & clever man? maybe? Keep your ear to the floor and know what is going on around you! Like the Rothschild's with the war between France and England. They were able to buy England in the stock market because they had the upper hand and intel. Look it up! Intel Rules!

  • Why should he give away ALL his trade secrets? This is how the man became successful let us remember. He's a good bloke for the things he has done and considering all the greediest, wealthiest people that could care less for humanity he fares well.

  • Hi Richard, My name is Flareesh. Are you hiring?

  • Greedy greedy cunt, thank God he's getting old and wont last much longer........

  • @leggus The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you very much.

  • @legggggggggy Quoting that speech from the Movie "Wall Street." Michael Douglas is just an actor and that's just a line in his script. I'm not sure what your point is but do you really believe in what he's touting? Do you believe that greed is the answer to success?

  • I thought he said "if you water flies they flourish". Im like.. i thought they would drown.

  • @u3190 Flowers

  • According to my big, fat lying cunt brother he reckons to have a mint business plan. He sez he supplies all the top poncy restaurants in cunt london you know the sort were kate, madge, sadie and baltagazar go for there llowance with truffles. The secret of his suckcess is the truffles are actually dried up old dog turds. He harvests them from dog shite bins or the playing fields near his house He has bought a load of old mutts for a fresh supply now.

  • OOOOO he forgot to say THAT you need to be part of the ILLUMINATI or FREE masons.

and the price is let the poor people die buying your SHIT so you can be part of the elite.

  • KEEP YOUR HEAD STILL

  • he said flowers but sounded like flies lol .. ppl are like flies haha

  • Being an entrepreneur takes a courageous heart. American Income Life Insurance Company is looking for people who want to be entrepreneurs. Search them on Facebook.

  • @blueoystercult22 Air Australia for sale.

  • Inner guidance its the only way to un wavering success Thanks!!

  • Well, to get rich and successful like him, one has to make a pact with the devil.

  • So i should pour water on people to get rich? fantastic

  • I think he thinks he's telling us how he did it as concisely as he can. He just did a lot more stuff too.

Same reason a successful concert pianist can't tell you how to be a successful concert pianist in 4 minutes.

Doesn't mean you can't learn *something* from just a few minutes of their words though :D

  • crocked banks ? NO SH!T ... Enron ?

  • I thought he said flies ... and to throw sh!t at them :)

  • Why Was I "Electronically Data Abused" By Your so-called Workers' ?

"Electronic Data Abuse" Is Actually a Criminal Offence !! Your Company Breached ALL My Civil Liberties & My Human Rights' (Act, of 1989) as a British Citizen !!

  • Richard Branson is against the existence of trade unions and workers rights. He also set up his first business with stolen money. Piece of shit- as his friend Kate Winslet who thinks what women fought for is irrelevent. Fucking rich low life cunt.

  • i dont think there is any.. 'Do This' or 'Do That' formular. i think it is understanding what a business system is about and what it entails...and developing the technical and PERSONAL skills necessary to successfully managing it (or hiring persons who has this). Hence the reason alot of advice revolves around being emotionally, and socially intelligent and generally developing oneself into a character needed for growing wealth. I respect everyones opinions...these are just mine.

  • i think it may mostly seem ambiguous because there is no actual specified response or answer to give to get rich. I think people are held back because if they dont get a direct black and white answer on HOW TO do it, they think that the advice is not good. I see that advice is usually character building and moulding type information..which when directed towards business can cause u to think..and act in a manner conducive to managing and growing a business and hence wealth.

  • i'm pretty sure if you water a fly it ain't gonna flourish...

  • @Vocalbandits That's funny. I thought he said flies too. But I think he's saying flowers in a very heavy British accent.

  • richard please read my american story at wwwhpgsystemcom american inventor seeks to create 100 million jobs in the USA

  • Thanks Richard Branson, and thanks bigthink. Successful people know truth about reality and know themselves. Changing who we are is the hardest part. But it's better than expecting reality to change to compensate for our shortcomings. You can't work as hard on a dream as Mr Branson has done and stay sane unless you are in tune with some eternal principals. eg, no one ever became truly grate by making others less. RB is on to that one for a start.

  • people want successful people to give them a formula....like A-B-C and there ya go. ain't happening, never has. The greats jumped in and followed their inner guidance....no one makes it this big purely by mentally following a system (even if they think they did)....we are multi-dimensional beings and find our own unique ways, by mind, gut and heart. Listen to him, listen to what resonates, move on and live your life. No one's gonna just hand it to ya....it's not even really possible.

  • @uuusmar well said.

  • @uuusmar There may be those out there who are looking for an easy way to become successful in business, there always is because there are those who do and those who don't but there are also people who are looking for guidance and inspiration in people like Richard Branson and nothing more. There's nothing wrong with that. I look to people like Richard Branson, Les Brown and Russell Simmons for inspiration, encouragement and guidance. Don't be selfish. Spread your knowledge, uplift and inspire.

  • @uuusmar For a long time I was seeking the formula you mentioned. I eventually had to come to terms with the fact that building success is not like putting together a Lego set. There is no formula. Only massive persistence and strong faith. Not necessarily a religious faith, but a faith in yourself and that everything will work out in the end, as much as things may not currently be going according to plan. But that will never work as long as you don't know EXACTLY what it is that you want to do.

  • @uuusmar Very well said. I really wish all the people out there looking for that "pie in the sky get rich quick internet next big thing" would get this idea through their heads. Then again, who would I make all my money off of selling ebooks on getting rich quick to! haha! But yeh, very well said thank you.

  • Great advice from someone who has been there and done it and now shares his knowledge and expertise. You just have to listen for the clues

  • he's kinda cryptic *trying to figure out this puzzle* but he's pretty awesome

  • I think he's OK but these rich successful people never really tell you in plain english how they actually achieve success. The message is always ambiguous!

  • @gfine2000 Do you honestly think it's that simple? That the key to success can just be explained as if you were teaching someone how to assemble a bookshelf? Success like Branson's only *starts* with what can be explained ... the rest is hard work, massive risk, not being afraid to fail utterly, and above all ... luck.

  • @gfine2000

You want the secret? Really? Here it is...create value for OTHERS (do something or make something people need/want) and WORK YOUR F'N ASS OFF DOING IT. Now, go forth and prosper. What's that? You don't want to hear it? Well, keep looking for your magical "system" and good luck.

  • @ThisnThatPackRat Now that was funny! You give advice and then assume someone isn't interested in what you have to say. Actually, what you said is true and I've been actually following the exact advice that you've recommended. I'm not looking for anything magical to help me become successful in business just some real, true and solid suggestions. "All kinds of God's wealth flows to me in avalanches of abundance and there is always a divine surplus."

  • @gfine2000 I think that's because there isn't any 'one recipe'. He could tell you what it takes - hard work, determination, trust your instincts, etc -, but he's going to say the same thing any other self-made million/billionaire would. Anyways, his autobiography (Losing My Virginity) is well worth a read. That will give you some idea.

  • @kerron68 I'm well aware there isn't one recipe for success. That's why I seek information from more than one person. By doing this, I'll extract what I can use and throw the rest away. I'm not looking for someone to give me the answer, just ideas and inspiration. I'm not looking for a free ride to success. I don't believe it exist and if it did, there would still be a price to pay (if you know what I mean). Some of these guys don't really know how to explain success, it's esoteric to them.

  • @gfine2000 I would put that down to there being no real tangible way to describe how they became successful to properly advise how you can become successful. It's a collective of things that has happened throughout their lives...

  • @leo140485 Though what you say may have some validity to it, why is it that when they're interviewed about this particular subject, they find it difficult to clearly explain or convey what they've done to bring themselves to the tier of success in their lives? What I usually do is take bits and pieces from different people who are considered to be successful and try to come up with my own formula. I don't mean to critisize these people of great wealth and means. I'm actually inspired by them.

  • @gfine2000 That's because 'success' is not some kind of essence that can be tapped into... if you want to emulate his success, emulate his attitude. I was going to make fun of him, but the story he told about his lender was spot-on. As if he was going to let one banker shut down a new airline!

  • @gfine2000 there really is no "Formula" except hard work and finding something you love.I know some people that are wealthy and they all worked very hard to get it.99% of those people I know started out with nothing, most grew up poor, and were motivated not to end up poor.unfortunately some of their children and a lot of other people didn't see their struggle.Read losing my virginity by Branson.

  • @Slappy5150 I agree. I realized there's really no particular formula. I actually not looking for a formula just ideas and experiences that people like Richard have gone through during their journey to success. There's an old saying: We have two ears and one mouth and that we should listen more than we speak. I do my best to do just that, listen. None of us are born knowing what it takes to become successful. We learn these things over time. I believe inspiration is a great motivator. Thanx

  • @gfine2000 Not true - there are plenty of rich, wealthy people who dedicate their life to explaining how to acquire wealth and sharing their story of success in as clear and unambiguous language as possible. For example - check out Bob Proctor or Harv Eker on youtube.

  • @MetalMistress888 OK. I'll check out Bob Proctor (heard about him reading the secret) and Harv Eker (never heard of him). Thanks for clearly understanding my point of view. I've found that too many people don't really comprehend what I try to convey in my points of view. Their responses clearly show that they don't get it. They think I'm looking for a free ride but by far I'm not. I'm just looking for ideas and inspiration. When it comes to opportunity just open the door and I'll get it myself.

  • @gfine2000 There's no 'concrete way' to success. Most rich people get successful because they have good ideas or they're talented. They go about this in different ways - Richard here, for example, believes in a compassionate business approach while Steve Jobs (RIP) was supposedly a nightmare to work for because he was such a perfectionist. If there was one, easily explainable way to get rich, we'd all be billionaires.

  • It means your statement couldn't be more obvious, that it goes without saying.

  • dear Richard Branson' could u give me 1000 £ from your 1 billion?

  • i think hes great! big up richie :)

  • sorry but...did he say "sort of 3-400 companies"??....

  • Did he not mention running your record stock down to the docks to get them stamped as imports so he could evade tax? No? What about the other dodgy practices he's indulged in? He's great, but he's not snow white lol.

  • @wesmatron erm, lol, yer he did actually, its in his biography, ppl seriously, if your going to make comments then make sure you know what your talking about.

  • @Kaybsoul Didn't mention it in this vid and a lot of the people below don't seem to have a clue about it (or even worse, don't care)

  • @wesmatron

He did what he had to do to make his business a success.

  • @gfine2000

And that duh means what exactly?

  • Richard Branson, is my Hero. Great Tips!

  • Im sure Richard Branson is more than clever enough to know (more importantly not care) that the only people who bad mouth him, are the very peeople who are jelous of him. Its always some dumb jelous guy on the internet who is bad mouth successful people and they always talk like they actually know the guy.

  • Richard Branson dont you what to be like him y not look me up top tips man

    for your start

  • Big Think videos are the best thing on youtube

  • I do not find him inspiring at all don't know why.

  • @bluewren2 that's because you aren't a go getter. You can't motivate a whale to fly

  • @benrfc LOL.

  • its great to listen to someone that is actually a Millionaire instead of all the rubbish on you tube..

  • @skuckzy I'm not trying to be a youtube comment brat, just want to point out he is a multi-billionaire.

  • um ahh, um and um and ahh ahhm and umm

  • @MrDrunkenPrawn grounds to listen to the other words too

  • His "Life Style Protect" insurance is a crap and scam. Scammed me all the way for three months and at the end I got paid 60 pounds. It is ridiculous. Avoid. I would get 600 a month minimum through the bank if I insure my income. Avoid. How can you offer to us this crap Mr. Billion. Very disappointing.

  • Virgin media fair deal, not. He's so fucking greedy employing indians in a call center..So much for customer service, bloody indians raising my bill everytime i phone up.Grow some balls and reduce this money sucking leech down to the gutter where he belongs

Ps:Whens the last ime you saw him in a hot air baloon? He only did that to make it look as though hes a caring, considering person. In reality its just to mask his uncaring and thoughtlessness nature towards others.

  • @MrFirefoxxxx WOT r u U TALKING ABOUT? Did you go out to the pub with mr branson? I doubt it, u dont know him but yet you hate him, because hes rich and successful and your pool and a loser. Ur statement just doesnt even make sense, hes greedy because he employees indians? Your very racist & uneducated, how many people do you employe mrfirefox? Do you pay thousands of pounds every month to thousands of people around the world? Do you offer multiple services to the people?

  • @MrFirefoxxxx also do you have a charity set up which donates millions per year? If so pls give me the website address? otherwise, shut the hell up, ur comment is so dumb it just makes u look like a dooshbag!

  • You know you have an uncompromisable vision when a bank manager can not intimidate you and your willing to take a loan 30x that from a friendly prospect in a company you are in..... a born visionary and leader. Well done Richard, you are a true inspiration.

  • they should have ask him more important questions... like how many women does he have sex with in a week... does he have sex with celebrities like megan fox.. ..

  • 1. Inherit money

    2. Buy your competitors

    3. Sell shite way above value

    4. Invest all your profit into public relations

    5. Tempt new customers with heavily disclaimed offers

    6. Treat your existing customers like shit

    7. Invest more money into PR

    8. What ever you have left put it into PR

  • @placydil

    ... well said, agreed.

  • @placydil what is "PR"? Public Relations?

  • @joshuademoraes Yes, an example was when his house burnt down he paid native tribesman to write on the beach with sticks and stones "THIS WILL ONLY MAKE YOU STRONGER RICHARD." The guy is obsessed with looking good to the public. he invests huge amounts of money in representing himself as some sort of sanctimonious figure. It's degenerating into psychosis. He has to look good, the guy is a shyster, his corporation has a ferocious trickle up system and he relies heavily on tax payers money.

  • @placydil wot a load of jibberish u just said! Yes image is very important, the same day u learn that, is the same day you make ur first million. He is representing the brand and doing publicity, you knew anything about business u wudnt have made such an idiotic comment.

  • @Kaybsoul Image for the brand, not for the owner. Really are you that naive that you don't see the ego trip and sanctimonious bullshit this guy is feeding on? You clearly don't know anyone who works for his company, and have no idea how often his advertising breaks the Advertising Standards Authority. It's funny that you seem to reply to every negative comment on this video which is rather dodgy. I wouldn't be surprised if that paranoid freak pays an online Stasi to denigrate his critics.

  • @placydil Also he's no Steve Jobs, he doesn't sell proprietary products so he doesn't need that image. He never invented anything in his life he just buys other peoples companies. His biggest earners are infrastructure: transport and telecom. The first gets billions every year from taxes in one of those dodgy treasury schemes and the latter was built by other companies which he bought and is now running into the ground by over subscribing while not upgrading the cable infrastructure.

  • @placydil yer your right, hes really lame, clearly you have achieved so much more than richard branson. Richard B only owns 2-3 airlines, YOU probably own like 4-5 right? I hate people who only own 2 airlines. He owns alot of casinos, health clubs, cellphone network, cable tv network, music, you know all the cool industries that one would love to be in. But again, im sure your much better than him and own alot more.

  • @Kaybsoul I love how most of your watched videos are interviews with entrepreneurs. I'm sure if you watch all of them you'll learn their secrets and become one of them.

Anyway like I said, the guy gets tax payers money to keep his business floating and constantly breaches terms imposed by regulatory bodies here in the UK. Richard Branson is the brand? Do you think people buy The Times because Murdoch owns it? People buy many of his products because he has a monopoly. (cable internet etc).

  • @placydil You love my viewing history? Wow, two things wrong with that, your a full blown creep, u actually went and checked out my history, hahahahah, i must have really effected you! u just grossed me out. Now i know why you bad mouthing ppl like richard B, your an internet creep.

The points you make are just jelous jibberish. he breaches terms? hahahaha yer damn rite, thats how u make money, ppl like u play by them, thats why ur broke.

  • @Kaybsoul So one click on the name of the attention whore who plasters a comment section with self contradictory drivel and other nonsense makes one a creep. Thanks for the second paragraph, no argument I would bring could make you look as stupid as that; it shows that you have no point and would say anything just for attention. But then you've established that when you replied to arguments with slurs rather than facts like all 15 year olds do in yt.

  • @placydil

"the guy gets tax payers money to keep his business floating and constantl"

If he is not a jew then he must be in favour with the jews. When the lights go out on New York they will own the world - From Atlas Shrugs.

Well on 911 one reporter said, "The lights have now gone out on New York" - Get it?

What better place for Israel/international Jewry to do their false-flag attack than in the jew capital? Not one Israeli died at the WTC attacks.

  • @placydil Richard branson is the brand, a good CEO/director/owner will always represent their company well.

Guys like you, who go around the internet giving out your negative energy, none of us have to guess where you are in life, you work 9-5, your broke, your jelous personality. Its just comes out of everyword you type.

Nothing talks louder than actions, Richard is a BILLIONAIRE and owns successful businesses in multiple industries, you insulting him is pathetic.
