How come he never mentioned that the Senate health reform bill would give the insurance companies millions of new customers required by law to buy health insurance? It would also require insurers to cover everyone, regardless of age, gender or pre-existing condition.

We have private medical insurance in Australia, but none of those pirvate medical insurance companies a for-profit. They're all member based private companies!

I can't even get insurance. A medical debtor is harassing me for $50,000 bills, threatening to sue me. For a congenital condition! I require a pacemaker to live, a heart problem I was born with.

We get shitty hospital treatment, we lose all our credit, we get harassed by debt collectors.... it's totally insane.

Anyone in the USA who doesn't want systemic reform is shilling for private interests. I'll never understand it. At least the Dem's are doing something. Repubs are batshit these days.

Now, if they decided to remove governments hand from healthcare entirely; they could get this right...but, seeing as we would still have the Federal Reserve, you are basically going to be 1) filing for bankruptcy anyways or 2) going to have alot of worthless dollar bills...this is inevitable.

I am planning to emigrate in the future. It has become my primary goal. Stress is my biggest risk factor. I don't have time to wait for the Ogliarchy to fall, for the government to quit shilling to wealthy private interests.

I just want to live my life. This can be done in some other country where they treat you like a human being, not a profit potential. Worst case, I'll be one of a generation of healthcare refugees. That's the future of America for many.

I'm not sure why you'd think birthers and teabaggers making noise would discourage Obama's base? Those people ENERGIZE Obama's base. Obama, on the other hand, is usually the one discouraging them, by making pathetic attempts to appease GOPers by putting tax cuts in the stimulus bill and taking the pubic option out of health insurance reform.

If the teabaggers had any brains they'd realize the surest way to remove about half of Obama's support would be to shut up and leave him alone.
