  • I can't wait to see this movie!!!

I actually just watched NEW MOON online in amazing quailty .

    cctv,ws/7/newmoon

(Just put a dot where the comma is...Enjoy!!!

  • wait so does a lunar eclipse generally make things cold cause on the 31st of decembre this year i'm gonna be right in the middle of one will it snow?

  • HEY EVERYBODY! On August 7th, be sure to come down to the Iowa State Fair. If you get there by 8:45 you get in free and get a free corn dog. At some time, probably around 9, everyone that got a corn dog is going to eat it at the same time and break the world record for most corn dogs eaten at one time by a group of people.

  • watching butter melt is pretty exiting.

this is a pretty nice video.

  • Get a life man.

  • ok u stupid mother fucker u can suck my huge cock im from Iowa and im not a hick so go FUCK YOURSELF BITCH!!!

  • Correction: All Iowans are hicks thus you are one. Hey Jethro, when is plantin' time? Did you drive your tractor down to Casey's to use the internet via dial-up modem? ha ha ha. Iowans make me laugh because they are so dumb. ha ha ha In California we have wireless modems and lap top computers. Stay warm!

  • hmm lets see i'm from des moines iowa and i just happen to have a laptop computer and a wireless modem. i've also never been in a field my whole life, even though i'm from iowa and supposedly i have to be a hick farmer. and do you even know what a hick is? because last time i checked iowans are not hicks. our definition of hick must not match. and the reason you live in california and brag about the nice weather is because you cant stand an iowa winter you panzy

  • As I stated before....if you are from Iowa you are a hick. The city I live in has more than twice the people of your whole state! Please refrain from viewing this page again, hicks are not welcome. Ha ha Io-Loser

  • why the fuck would you want to live in a huge ass city? theres always people around you all the time. sounds pretty gay if you ask me. des moines has about 200,000 people, half a million if you count the suburbs. its actually pretty nice and not CROWDED AS HELL unlike some people's fucked up cities

  • LoL!! I love when people fall for this shit!

  • Hi - check this version of colored "A trip to the moon" set to new music and live performance, giving the old footage new meaning:

    watch?v=vfwvnS3QPUU

  • beautiful..especially when the birds flew right over the moon..

  • how often do these happen??

  • hello we saw it lastnyt in sydney...nebodi else c it ??

  • i saw one last night at 2am

  • That was cool. ^-^

I missed the one last night because my mom forced me to go to sleep. Wish I could have saw that one.

  • There was just one at couple houres ago. 1:52 Pasific Standerd time Tuesday, and AM also great video

  • the first two minutes are a waste of time

  • So commenting on the last two minutes would have been the positive thing to do. But that's ok...the universe needs both negative and positive to exist...

  • Hee Hee... Very nice. I live just up I-35 a little bit from Des Moines so I very much appreciate the struggle you went through. The eclipse this morning is going to be much easier to observe.

  • Yes! I just returned from watching and filming the eclipse. It was much better than the last time :-) Pretty much the opposite...warm, early morning, setting instead of rising.

  • well this mornin when i saw the moon turn to the dark side (i know... a litle cleshay) amd i looked at the time it was 5:59 when it was completely dark

  • shortysurfluff YOU SUCk

  • short version my ass

  • lol...so, you wouldn't have the patience to watch the entire eclipse in real time then I take it. There is an opportunity early tomorrow morning, depending on where you live. Totality will last 90 minutes...the entire event is about 3 hours. I think a four minute video is definitely the 'short' version!

  • i know about tomorrow morning and im getting up at like 5:45 am EST to look at it plus thats a long effin time to see it eh?

  • Actually I was incorrect on the time. The duration of the event is closer to five hours...including the Moon entering the Penumbra. If you are on the east coast, you will see the Moon in totality as it sets. 5:45am EST will be the moment the Moon enters the Umbra, or dark Earth shadow. Happy viewing!

  • well said.

  • i think solar eclipse is the best...

    watch this video :

    watch?v=K42UqWGdA_o

  • nice job

  • noice

  • yea

    amazing

    how often does that happen

but i guess u had to be there to really experience it

  • you should go to the filthyrooster channel....

  • umm...ok, I did. Not much there.

  • Wow, it is beautiful. It must be a wonderful experience to see it personally...

  • its beautiful...love it

  • great video! :)

  • Nice job, Mr. Butcher. I only got to see the eclipse from the car as we were driving home that night.

  • really nice nice vid, job well done

  • that really took some guts. but I guess your beard kept you warmer :D

here in Europe it was (and still is) warmer than ever for the season, I was outside sitting on a bench, enjoying the show and a cool breeze.

  • Anyone in Britain reading this, was this when the moon went red about midnight, if so, I was walking home I believe at that time and the moon had a red colour to it, I thaught it was a sign of some sort but the day after it was Mars doing something to it, I dunno, it was sommat like that.

  • Looks like global warming to me!!

  • Or, you can do what I do every time I see one of these... click the spam link.

  • cool beard, Harry!

  • Thank you for sharing this!! Good job!!Very nice photography!!

  • this was cool because i live right next to des moines in iowa city, nice vid

  • It sounded horible

  • great stuff can't wait for part two, the no eclipse of the sun

  • lol...guess I can begin filming any day eh?

  • forgive my british sarcasm. you did good job for people that missed the event.

  • Good effort! I can see that you are very experienced with the camera!

  • Yeah! :P

    *Future Camera Man*

    Hehe, wooooo!

  • This was really good, I liked the music. But next time don't talk so much and let your work speak for itself. Very nice. Thanks for enduring the cold....

  • Omg! I live in Cedar Rapids! Go Iowa!

  • omg i live in c-town iowa. woot woot

  • this is like watching paint dry on growing grass, like watching butter melt in the antarctic. its boring dood.

  • this is the SHORT VERSION?

  • Is Harry available for birthdays?

  • Great video my friend. Are you going to do the same for the next one? If so I'll watch.

  • Yes, we plan to video the August event, AND video butter melting at the same time! It should be great :-)

  • hey you're from Des Moines, i am from the northwest part of Iowa!

  • Cool post. I watched the eclipse here in the UK and it was an impressive sight to see the moon turn red. Awesome.

  • "like watching butter melt" there too?

  • I could tell it was really cold from the way the snow sounded when it crunched. This would be a good video to watch in early August. I've gone out in the Winter to look at the stars and the aurora and that's what this video reminds me of. It's so worth the effort to go out and see things like this.

  • very nice vid! :) thanks for sharing! i watched the eclipse too... here in chile, it looked good :)

  • Yeah i was watching from my window in the UK, perfectly clear night, the moon was visibly spherical and tinted red as it faded into darkness, was awesome :)

  • aww thats sweet lucky u i have never seen and eclipse thanks 4 uploading this xx

  • Thats so pretty :)

  • Very nice. Thanks for shooting the video. Maybe next time it will be warm enough to also video tape butter melting?

  • Good idea!! I think I'll do the comparison on film...just think how long will that 'short version' be!! lol...

  • I enjoyed that, worth the frozen feet. I missed the eclipse with too much cloud.

  • that was pretty cool, actually.4/5.

  • Sweet! I watched the real thing from my house =o

  • older people have a weird sense of humor lol

  • You live near a nice place! Lunar Eclipses are cool and thanks for making this!

  • Um here in Iowa we dont have very many rednecks thats more down south but ya it does suck here and its boaring.

  • that was the short version? are featured videos determined randomly??

  • No. They are determined in three ways: 1) Money 2) Videos are suggested via email to the editors 3) Videos are viewed by the editors and selected for a feature. My video was featured by method #2. It was suggested in an email by a youtuber. You may not feel the video deserved a feature spot, and that's ok...it's your sacred right to disagree, just as others who do agree.

  • fuck this the moon didn't even disappear, gay

  • Nice ! thanks guys ...

  • Thanks to you and Harry. That was fun. Sky colors were beautiful. Liked the music, the humor, the resistance to cold. We watched it here in vermont but we had clouds until the second half, so I saw it for the first time on your movie. Lovely. I liked the geese and the tree branches.

  • Thanks for taking the time to put this together...even in the freeeeze. ;p

  • Nice job guys! I missed the real thing.

  • cool. i watched it from england

  • you are a spammer and you suck ass

  • nice job thanx for sharing

  • If you can get a shot from two ends of the earth, you can get a stereogram of the shot.. If your head was the size of the earth.

  • lol

  • There is a new 18x zoom Olympus digital camera for 500 dollars.. You could probably get the moon full frame with that..

  • m-o-o-n that spells moon

  • lol. Love that movie! :)

  • alright i guess youll want to know when i work

  • LMAO harry is my hero!

  • LARRY HAD A SWEET BEARD!!

  • Harry stupid ass.

  • i would have watched it myself but it was overcast that night

  • Hah cool video. I wanted to see it but I never got the chance. I like the video commentary by the way, lol.

  • whoa! even the short version is long

  • Hi, I'm Linda, I'm from Epping, Melbourne, Australia! Yeah, me and my friends really love all the people on YouTube, really friendly and hot and everything! And we liked this video here too, with the dramatic lighting and everything. Yeah.

  • a BIG thank you from Arkansas!!

  • go f urself

  • ecilpses are orange....DYNOMITE!

    heroes hav ecilpses....DYNOMITE!

  • I got pictures of that...

  • "like watching butter melt"

  • my class is doin eclipses now. o by the way Harry probally ate the moon

  • Iowa rocks. I live in Mt. Vernon, and it was lovely to see.

  • Try driving through the freakin' middle of no where NH where there are no street lights during that. It sucks. The only light was my head lights.

  • all I can say is thank you for staying up 2 in the morning

  • Too bad it was cloudy where I was... I don't think stuff like this has happend in North America in a while.

  • The earth is between the sun and the moon. The moon doesn't get enough light to be able to reflect all that well. That's why most of it is dark.

  • The sun can't cover the moon wtf.

  • Usted es un para joda madre de burro.

  • ur friend harry rocks :)

  • ur friend harry looks funny

  • lunar eclipse is the moon covering the sun or the sun covering the moon?

  • I dont think the sun ever covers the moon, only the moon covers the sun and the shadow of the earth gets between the sun and the moon, not sure though mate :)

  • Lunar eclipse the earth coming between the moon and the sun (Earth's shadow). Solar eclipse is the moon coming in between the earth and the sun (moon's shadow).

  • hmm...it's the Earth covering the Sun from the Moon's point of view, so we see the Earth's shadow on the Moon.

  • Amazing video. What music did you use?

  • I saw the moon that night. Yes is was strange because I didn't know an eclipse was scheduled. But I assumed it must be happening.

  • Here in Monterrey, Mexico the moon was dark in the night of the concert of Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) so he played when it was The Dark Side of the Moon. hahahaha what a coincidence

  • buenisimo, que chido, te toco buena suerte con eso jeje

  • It was a beautiful full lunar eclipse here in Denmark at march 3rd at around midnight(around the time it rose for you in Iowa.

  • august 28th will be on my calendar

  • Harry was scary

  • cool thanks we forgot to look for it here

  • something about the title is fishy... maybe I don't really know what total means. I dunno.

  • ok ok...I'll change it already!!

  • HI was stood outside our house watching the eclipse , think the shadow was on the bottom of the moon for us here in the uk . nice to see i was not the only one watching . :-)

  • I love you.

  • And it's 93 here in California! Makes me want to go back to Davenport! hmmmm Nah! lol Thanks for the video!

  • It was 60 today...Spring is in ther air!! Don't you miss seeing all the trees and bushes turning green again, and the birds come out to sing, and you can start to leave your windows open?? Makes one appreciate the warmth even more :-)

  • Santa lives in Iowa

  • Worry ye not, theres another Feb 21st 2008m in Great Britain.

  • we got hammered with a blizzard that week lol...

  • Hi there, enjoyed your video. Looks like you guys enjoyed the eclipse too. We watched it in Ireland from 11:30pm until it finished (near 1am I think) & thankfully it wasn't cold!

    Enjoy the next one! :)

  • Thanksyou for sharing this vid. A didn't see the eclipse but was wanting to.

    Thanks again!

PS: why are people takling about eating dogs? Quit hi-jacking comment space!

  • I could have seen it myself if it wasn't cloudy here in Ohio on that day.

  • lol, Ilike your friend Harry--he's halarious!

hope all is well and thanks for putting this vid up!

  • drags on a bit but ovawise really gud

  • I saw this in Des Moines too, after all that snow we got it was a little hard to see. by the way, was this video taken at Grays Lake park?

  • seems a bit boring at first, nothing special to me

  • seems boring

  • cold of make faster, seems a bit boring at first.

  • you say it was filmed in Iowa.. Don't you mean the North Pole ?

  • i don´t tink so, that isn´t santa claus.

  • lol

  • do u mind makin it faster

  • i tried to see this but i couldnt. Too many clouds, trees and i was at the wrong angle! So sad...

Oh well, ill c it nxt time!

  • I like Harry's beard. Reminds me of a garden gnome, or perhaps a wizard.

  • thanx i live in niagara falls and it was cloudy so i didnt see this

  • What are you guys talkin' about, eatin' dogs and whatnot

  • like tryiny to watch paint dry

  • y is this so long? just get to the point

  • that was pretty

  • Very nice video. I remember over a year ago in January, my husband and I sat at Gray's Lake eating Popeye's Chicken shortly after it opened. It was about 50 degrees that day and windy. We no longer live in Iowa but it is always good to see gray's lake. I hope it won't be cloudy here so we can see the eclipse in August.

  • this version is not short enough

  • boring

  • nice man ima try scope out the one in august 28th 2007

    nice video.

  • ya but dolphins are protected! and wtf people in china eat dogs! thats frickin mean and gross

  • Well, you most likely eat cows...And cows are sacred in india. You should be more open minded about things before you openly dismiss them.

  • How is eating dogs mean and gross...it's just meat. How about eating pigs, that's not gross to you, again it's just meat and food and if i was stranded in some mountain somewhere with another person and had nothing to eat, I would turn to cannibalism for sure...just meat. That's not gross it's just how life is, we are no different than animals, we just think we are but if you look at things from another perspective, we're just living organisms on earth with needs we have to fulfill.

  • sick

  • Eating dogs is discusting! The meat of a dog is actually full of toxins and has little to no nutrients due to the things they eat. The human body is about a thousand times worse due to the things WE eat. The human body can not survive on eating dog or human meat alone. However, it can easily survive alot longer if eating cow meat alone.

  • It can not survive on a dog diet but it could keep you alive in emergency situations and it's not sick, I'm not saying is nutritious just not sick. Eating a dog is not any different than eating a cow in a "not eating a cute little pet animal" perspective. Chickenkilling is saying is mean and gross because a dog is supposed to be a "pet" not food which is stupid since it's also an animal and it should be as gross and mean as killing any animal but we still do it because we have to.

  • Yes it COULD keep you alive in emergency situations. But we're not talking about emergency situations. We are talking about people in Asia who eat dog meat and consider it a delicacy. And if you want to get technical about emergency situtations, eating your dog to survive is still sick. Yes, it may save your life but its still sick.

    Continued....

  • A dog is an edible animal...

How did this even come up when the vid is about lunar eclipes?!?! lol

  • <<continued from...

...Reducing ones self to canabolism is even "sicker". Though you may have no other choice its still sick. Even while your eating your buddy or a stranger in an emergency situation your going to be thinking how sick this is.

  • True but what i meant to say is that eating a dog is not different from eating a cow IN A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OTHER THAN NUTRITION, they are both animals and the only reason why you think is sick is because the dog is your "pet" and it shouldn't be eaten which is stupid and i agree turning to cannabolism is sick but what I said it's just meat and in emergency situations I would eat a dead person, not alive but dead and IT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY SICKER THAN TAKING THE LIFE OF AN INNOCENT ANIMAL

  • "IT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY SICKER THAN TAKING THE LIFE OF AN INNOCENT ANIMAL"

    Damn right!

  • lmoa u stupid vegetarian

  • I'm not a vegeterian...I'm just making a point, I know more about meat than you know yourself since I have a family of different cultures and well yeah

  • Eating dog IS different from eating a cow. No matter how you put it. Even if a dog is a pet and you think thats what makes it sick by eating your dog. If i had a pet cow and i had to eat it, it still wouldnt be discusting as if i had to eat my pet dog. Some animals are meant to be eaten and some are not.

And theres no comparison to a human and a dog. Humans are far more valuable than an 'innocent' dog. So yes, eating a 'dead' human body is far more discusting then eating dog meat.

  • well in those situations ur mind plays tricks and that.

im sure by then ur out of your mind.

so u might be thinking "damn this steak is good"

  • So I guess if the dog is a vegitarian dog, like the kind the asians eat, the whole situation is differant from what you're discribing. :P

  • An asian market is not going to waste more money purcashing expensive healthy fruits, vegetables and grains(even dog food w/no meat) to feed the dogs they are later planning to eat. Its cheaper to just feed the dogs the scraps of the dogs they have already killed(And they do Do this). Besides, a dogs digestive system is not designed to digest only fruits, vegetables and grains. Therefore, it would not live long on a diet with no meat.

  • Impresionante documento. Papa Noel se compró un tripode y una cámara para hacer el moñas.

  • well done, I too have some video of this event but yours is better, and I wouldn't have the patients to stand out there 4 hours.heh heh.thanks for posting.
