Hey...I have that exact GE alarm clock. I bought it about 3 months ago from a thrift store. It was never used and in it's original box! Only $2.00! Great alarm clock. The Radio and cassette really sound great also! Do you wake to Cassette?
Cool idea using a dictaphone this time. I'm guessing it's a micro cassette one, but wouldn't it have been better to have plugged the dictophone's headphone out to the comptars line in? Or doesn't it have one. Whenever I do video's synced up with a cassette or R2R, I have to keep re-syncing the video in my editor about every 30 seconds, as the two recordings gradually get out of sync as time goes on, even tho I play it back on the same machine that recorded it.
Man ever since we got our house re-insolated this summer, i don't want to see a heater lol, it's extremely hot in the house now, even though it's freezing cold outside!
Cool recording the audio with the dictaphone and synching it with the video hehe
It's in a P.O.D.S., and still needs to be brought over to this house. It's a NIGHTMARE. The WHOLE THING is filled from FLOOR TO CEILING and I hope that none of my cassette recorders go crushed, cracked, or damaged or I would be ANGRY!
I hope not either. My 1968 Zenith table radio got a nicked up on the top edge and my 1977 Truetune record player has a 1" hairline crack on the lid when me, my bro, and my mom switch rooms. Probably happened during the process and yes the it was a messy move too.
something wrong with the heater? It's got one quartz tube lit...

It was on the lower setting. On the higher setting it lights both tubes.

I wake to radio. I'd rather not leave the play button down all night.

My Dictaphone has no ear out, just a MIC in. It is microcassette, and, as with you, I had to re-sync it every now and then.

I have a Dictaphone cassette (see my vid too). They are very well made. As for the power of Vader, I would say it's about 9VDC.

Vader here is 4.5 volt.

Which camera did you used to record this?
Nice to see that more and more things are moved into your new house.
So it's getting cold in America too? Well, here in Germany it's already really cold outside. No good weather for flea markets!

The Sony Cybershot one. It was colder for some days but today it was warm to hot weather.
