  • that scared the hell out of me

  • Absolutely fantastic.

10x better than the Fantasia 2000 one.

And while I did like the character design better in the Disney one, it's lack of integrity is unforgivable.

Do they think children cannot handle it everytime the good guy doesn't "win"?

    Very fine piece

  • Great animation and story telling!!!!! :D

  • This story is so sweet. It made me sad thou because they died:(

    daintyminnie

  • The poor soldier.

  • Well done.

  • This is one of my favorite tales as a child! Beautiful animation! The emotions and expressions on the characters faces said it all, and I loved the fact that this rendition had no narration. I truly enjoyed it!

  • This is a Toy Story version of Romeo and Juliet . Sad yet beautiful.

  • ...but WHY did the boy throw him into the furnace? this is very very good. I was actually looking for a different video I watched as a kid (the movies always started out with a stuffed animal in real life telling you something and then telling you a story, if anybody can tell me if they know what I'm looking for I'd be grateful) but I'm glad I stopped to watch this

  • The tale of The Steadfast Tin Soldier was written in 1838 based on the challenge by Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria that Andersen write a story inspired by the prince's collection of tin soldiers. The result was a work reflective of Andersen's absorption at the time of the conflict between life and art.

  • Loved it. Very well done with images and not words. I teared up a little at the end even though I know the end of the story.

  • The ending of the story always leaves me contemplating... what is the meaning behind the tin soldier melting into a heart, but then all that's left of the ballerina is a spangle?

  • in the original story the ballerina is made of paper.

  • well at least they could finally be together

i cant believe i forgot this story even existed

  • Thank you truemax for posting this. This is probably the closest version to Hans Christian Andersen's story.

  • that was brillaint. thank you

  • It is done almost after the original story of H.C.Andersen

  • Hi,

  • @Disneyobsesive fucking idiot always looking for a happy ending ! welcomr to real life.

  • CHRIST that goblin is scary ..I love this story

  • So... BEAUTIFUL T_T I can't believe the owner can be so cruel D:<!!

  • nicely done, im glad it barely changed the story. i was wondering how to picture how the goblin was responsible for the soldier to be thrown into the fire when the boy actually did it. the makers really put a sense of "steadfastness" into the soldier as well

  • This is beautifully done! The Steadfast Tin Soldier is one of my favorite tales and this is probably the best animated rendition I have ever seen. The music is perfect! I LOVE IT!!!

  • hvem er det der har lavet den?

  • @DonJusty mine onkler :D moayad, maytham og mohannad fahmi. :D
