Bonham was really good friends with Lulu and Maurice at the time and their families used to hang out together so if Bonzo was available at the time he might have joined them on stage for this I guess. I don't know which month in 1971 this was done.
It is true. Lulu was coming off two US hits in a row, "Oh Me, Oh My (I'm a Fool for you baby)" and "Hum A Song (From Your Heart)". This was supposed to be hit number 3, if it hadn't been for that unfortunate title. Radio programmers were not keen on controversy back in those days. The Kinks' "Lola" entered the chart here in Los Angeles, only to be pulled off the playlist when it was discovered that the song was about a transvestite.
GREAT!!! Also very hot girls ...! ;)
The back vocals choir looks like the New Seekers ...

It's a bloody sight better than 95% of the charts nowadays - Tiny Temper and all that bilge.

It would have been so cool if John Bonham had been on the stage there too. Guess he was off touring with Led Zep at the time.

@FredFoswell John probably was happy to be at home with his wife, kids and cows. ;-) Zep were constantly on the road.

This one flopped in the US because DJs thought she was singing 'Everybody Got the Clap".
moorlock2003 2 years ago
That would explain the title change from "Everybody's Got To Clap" to "Everybody Clap"...
If that's true, that's hilarious!
