This is a great video! I'm currently an OTA student and my instructors have played this video to describe the difference between OT and PT. It was a great help!
Thanks! this was HILARIOUS!!! Great way to clarify the differences in therapist understanding of concepts that we often stumble on. You are my new OT hero!
This is amazing ... and can be true at times. A lot of the time the doctors and nurses only care whether patients can move around and walk. It can be frustrating. Love this video though, very funny! "the rehab unit is burning down ..." :)
These conversations happen often. It has gotten better over the years. Patients can walk 150 feet but can't walk backwards or maneuver sideways with there assistive device.
@ma1nstr3am Hi there! Stereotypes come from somewhere! The OT is based off of me and another OT friend I work with, and the PT is based on the PTs I work with.
@saffie1990 If it makes you feel any better, the OT was mostly based off of myself! :o) I do think that OTs tend to be more emotional than PTs in general, though, but that is just one person's opinion. Thank you so much for watching the video! :o)
Wonderful! A colleague and I are teaching a class at AOTA next month. Could you grant us permission to burn a copy of this? Either way, thank you. `nita ferree (nferree@ufl.edu)
You ROCK!!! This is hilarious, but TRUE! Love the part about showers and "I'm glad it's not part of my job" and the reply, "I know". And yes, I know how to set up a shower transfer!!!!!
ohhhhhhhhhh my goodness LOL I am an OT and I bake cookies on Fridays....the oven set at 900 degrees? not turning off the oven you know we OT's have to look at home management LOL and termination of activity for safety...I cant take it ...i am cracking up 96 steps LOL walking 600 feet LOL
PTs are awesome! This is based on some PTs that I work with-- no worries, they saw it and enjoyed it! Thanks for watching it, and please share it with your friends!
Really??? We (PT's) aren't THAT bad! Okay - maybe some are, but give the guy a break - she was obviously only thinking about herself... It wouldn't have been that hard for her to save a cookie for him! :) Cute video!

why does the OT have to be a female and the PT to be a male? there also seems to be some attraction between these two people
