  • This is a great video! I'm currently an OTA student and my instructors have played this video to describe the difference between OT and PT. It was a great help!

  • LOVE it! "she turned the oven to 900*.....and is a bit impulsive" HILARIOUS

    Thanks for this video

  • OT: "What?" PT: "I think she can go whome tomorrow."

    *Stewie voice, "cool WHip"*

  • Excellent. Thank you!

  • I got a little sad when she said Mrs. Smith didn't know how to call for help :( lol i guess that's the emotional OT in me haha.

  • Very good! That's the different between medical and a bio-pyscho-social view!!

  • Thanks! this was HILARIOUS!!! Great way to clarify the differences in therapist understanding of concepts that we often stumble on. You are my new OT hero!

  • so true!!!!

  • LOL!!! I love this and can't wait to share it with my colleagues!

  • LOL! I love this! :))) so true

  • LOVE this!

  • LOL at the cookies! I literally laughed out loud at that part.

  • This is amazing ... and can be true at times. A lot of the time the doctors and nurses only care whether patients can move around and walk. It can be frustrating. Love this video though, very funny! "the rehab unit is burning down ..." :)

  • This is great! Would you mind if i used it in some training we are doing for case managers in an acute hospital trust?

  • @rmanxie Ha! I would love it if you did! :o)

  • This is great! Would you mind if i used it in some training were are doing for case managers in an acute hospital trust?

  • These conversations happen often. It has gotten better over the years. Patients can walk 150 feet but can't walk backwards or maneuver sideways with there assistive device.

  • This is excellent!!! I will have to direct all my colleagues to this site.....Thanks

  • why does the OT have to be a female and the PT to be a male? there also seems to be some attraction between these two people

  • @ma1nstr3am Hi there! Stereotypes come from somewhere! The OT is based off of me and another OT friend I work with, and the PT is based on the PTs I work with.

All in fun! Thanks for watching :o)

  • This is the answer to the age-old question: "What if Napoleon Dynamite became a PT?" LOL

  • Haha brad this is hilarious

  • this is good...but dont like how you made the OT sound all emotional

  • @saffie1990 If it makes you feel any better, the OT was mostly based off of myself! :o) I do think that OTs tend to be more emotional than PTs in general, though, but that is just one person's opinion. Thank you so much for watching the video! :o)

  • @83Rin au contraire. I'm a male OT, and i've observed i'm more grounded and practical than my PT friend :P

  • PT's and OT's REALLY do have these types of conversations!lol

  • OMG- this is like every team meeting I have ever been to!

  • WOW. We do all sound the same, yikes!

  • OT-here. To funny. The video is great. Certainly makes you laugh. Please make more. You should patent them.

  • could replace OT with ST, and it works too!

  • Ha ha. Just like the OTs at work.

  • I love the OT videos...they are hilarious and they are definitely based on true life!!

  • Wonderful! A colleague and I are teaching a class at AOTA next month. Could you grant us permission to burn a copy of this? Either way, thank you. `nita ferree (nferree@ufl.edu)

  • @ferreen I sent you an e-mail! Go for it!!! I'm honored :o)

  • very funny

  • Hee hee...my days in TBI rehab in Hfx, TO and at Eastern Health came flooding back.

  • I think I have witness this conversation on more than a million times in team meetings!

  • Awesome! I couldn't stop laughing - soo true too. I love it!

  • You ROCK!!! This is hilarious, but TRUE! Love the part about showers and "I'm glad it's not part of my job" and the reply, "I know". And yes, I know how to set up a shower transfer!!!!!

  • ohhhhhhhhhh my goodness LOL I am an OT and I bake cookies on Fridays....the oven set at 900 degrees? not turning off the oven you know we OT's have to look at home management LOL and termination of activity for safety...I cant take it ...i am cracking up 96 steps LOL walking 600 feet LOL

  • Very funny!

  • So where are the freaking cookies already. Selfish old lady.

  • PTs are awesome! This is based on some PTs that I work with-- no worries, they saw it and enjoyed it! Thanks for watching it, and please share it with your friends!

  • Really??? We (PT's) aren't THAT bad! Okay - maybe some are, but give the guy a break - she was obviously only thinking about herself... It wouldn't have been that hard for her to save a cookie for him! :) Cute video!

  • Thanks! I've posted two (OT vs. PT and OT vs. Family). I will be making more at some point. I'm glad you like them! Share with your friends!

  • I want to watch more! I am a social worker working in rehab for the past 25 years. Too funny!

  • 25 years as a rehab TBI nurse --- HILARIOUS!!!
