You read beautifully, Edgar Allen Poe is brilliant I love his work, and I believe you did this extremely well you delivered it with great depth well done :)
I'm browsing my favorites on YouTube tonight, and I returned here after having not viewed this video for over a year -I remember I posted a comment the day you uploaded this. You are especially talented at sustaining intensity in lengthy pieces. Your Poe and Whitman are beautiful -You read like a young man who is just discovering -and this is your best and most compelling quality!
Such an angelic voice would you do The charge of the light brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson or 'The Jabberwocky'. I think you have the perfect voice to do them with.
When I hear this poem (rightly or wrongly!), I think of the first time I heard it read. It was in the film "The Crow" in which Brandon Lee gives an all too brief look into the darkness of Edgar Allen Poe, and this sends me right back to that.
The sound effects are perfectly fitting, the rain and thunder complement an intense and eerie reading. This poem has such macabre imagery that it takes a certain conviction to pull it off convincingly.

finally someone smart enough to realize that he could not improve on E.A. Poe's writing by obscuring it with unnecessary music or animations.
thanks! that was great

I'm unsure as to how laboured your attempts at lighting were, but they are perfectly becoming of the piece, and the reading.
Seemingly you and I have a similar ear for poetry my friend.

You read that beautifully. It is very dark and rainy today where I live, your selection goes well with the dreary mood of the day.

Thanks! It's pouring rain here in New York City, too--and was a very gloomy night last night, so I felt inspired.
