...i have one, and it used to open very very fast,, but then in the service they fix de problem and now is very smooth...

basically... the issue is that on the "first gen" 2008 B8, Audi didn't install Boot Dampeners on their cars, so on my car, it flings up rather than smoothly opens, like on the video above. I'll eventually attach a video of mine, and well, I'm less than impressed with the speed at which it flings open, even deserves a "watch out" sticker on it!

I have the same car and it raises just the same. No issue with your boot lid. I also had a 06 Passat TDI which has the same feature and it actually was slightly faster on the way up...Your car has nothing wrong with it. There are 4 of these at my work place and all operate the same....

what seems to be the problem?
my boot opens so quickly as though it will fling off the car. think mine is more problematic
