Microsoft has an 82% market share and that is gonna take a long time for a company like Apple to destroy. Apple had about 5% of the market share in the US 10 years ago, now they have over 20% (I think your source might be wrong). In 2006 (the year before the iPhone) Microsoft had about 70% of the Smartphone market in North America. Today, just a couple percent (although from wp7 it may go up to 5%) and Apple has the number one top selling phone of all times (with 20-25%) with just one phone *continued*
