Aye, a bump on that. The Red Dwarf Complete Guide claims it's either:

'Flash Point' by Nick Phoenix (Extreme Music, DCD Drumscores)

or

'Quest' by Gabriel Shadid & Tobias Marsberger (Epic Score ES002 Action & Adventure Vol. 2, via Boosey Tracks)

...but neither track available on those respective sites sounds like the right one.

Can anyone shed some light.... please?

I can definately confirm 100% that the site has fixed up the error and that the track is "Cold City" by David O'Brien (Audio Network 1165/Track 1). Just go to the library music section on the Red Dwarf site, select the Audio Network site, go to advanced search and copy and paste the above info into the appropriate boxes and you'll find it.
