I'm glad they removed the Anakin vs. Greedo one. For the most part, Phantom Menace portrays Anakin as being very mature for his age; having him physically fight someone for thinking he cheated in a race just wouldn't mesh with that.

@s0d100 Anakin is the Chosen One. He brought balance to the force, because he destroyed the emperor and himself by doing so. So the last 2 Sith Lords were destroyed. Luke only helped Darth Vader to bring back the Anakin-part in him. When Vader saw Luke being tortured by the emperor he turned back to his old self, Anakin. Then he realised what was good and was bad and did what he should have done on Coruscant.

i think that anakin beating up greedo is an important scene as it shows the dark side of anakin, it could have been improved if obi wan was in the scene looking on in the background, then the camera end on his face. The probe droid one should have been kept but maybe edited, cos the next scene is them running in the sand field uncessarily without explanation..

This movie is horrible. Honestly, it completely destroys the original trilogy. If you watch the new trilogy, then the old one, you notice that the new trilogy doesn't exactly fit into the old one, making many 'contradictions'. Like, you know how Obi-Wan said he 'didn't remember owning a droid', a completely forgets R2-D2 and C-3P0? That means that they weren't at all part of the new trilogy! There are so many more contradiction in the new trilogy that I dont consider it part of the story.

Anakin in Episode 1 was perfect.

It was Hayden Christenson who ruined Anakin. They should've cast the original choices which included Ryan Phillippe & Colin Hanks, who despite their haters can outact Hayden anyday.

Natalie Portman was perfect as Padme. The script, direction & it's dialogue didn't allow her to be a well-developed character.

Noticed how George Lucas only directed the original SW & all the Prequels. Notice how the acting in episode 5 & 6 is good & isn't even directed by Lucas
