@wellfeedmonkey What he meant in the video is that you can either do it in the area he is showing or use the area in red. He's probably using the area in the video because it's preferred.

@RyuseiNogami I believe the tchnko should be alive as far as you have it in the bag and saved the game. The one-week time skip is the same things as you had a one week pause while fighting the end.

I was just wondering how long does it take on MGS2 to get all the dog tags and how do you unlock the tanker/plant bandana and stealth suits

@yanzi247 I never went for all the tags so I dont really know. I would guess it takes about 15 hours in total. And you unlock the bandana and suits by just getting all the dog tags. You get them once you collect a certain amount

@yanzi247 Overall getting platinum on MGS2 took about 60 hours. To get the tanker bandana you need about 46 dog tags, and for the tanker stealth suit about 80 dog tags are needed. To get the wigs and stealth you just need to collect Dog Tags.

70 dog tags - brown wig (infinite ammo)

110 dog tags - stealth

160 dog tags - orange wig (infinite grip)

TO GET THE GREAT DANE YOU ONLY NEED TO GET THE BLUE WIG (about 200 dog tags)

@fastbastard69 By the way, collecting dog tags on tanker does not count for the dog tags on PLANT.

The dog tag runs on plant take something like 2-3 hours per run, and getting the dog tags on extreme takes about 4-5 hours. Hope this helps you guys.

@Fykkyr I am afraid that the blue wig affects only the player, which means E.E. is going to take damage if you dive for too long. I am not 100% sure of this because I never tried it.

@codybug93 You will do for a while, i was trying this somewhere else for like an hour and a half and just getting crabs. its just luck. You can go around killing all near by crabs and living things and that will help

@RyuseiNogami Im pretty sure you cant. You can try continuing and then after the torture scene, go back outside the waterfall and go to the grass on the left and see if its there. this is where you must get it back again anyway so hopefully its there but its unlikely, I think you will need to start again.

Another easy way to get it is to put 3 mousetraps infront of the first tree you come to in the area you fight The Fear. You'll catch it 100% of the time the first time, guaranteed.

@XKazuhiraX its completely random dude. I got it first go there but spent 2 hours somewhere else with no joy. Kill living things around the are as it helps.

Love how people dislike the video because they cant catch it... You need to be patient, I got it first time in the area I show in the video. It was fluke, I did however spend a good hour or two in another area with no joy. Your best bet is to catch it in Bolshaya Past South as there are no other animals that can be caught. It will still take time though. Catching this snake is really annoying

So, if you place a few MT's near the exit in Sokrovenno West that leads into Sokrovenno South, you'll catch it? I originally had to capture/kill every animal in an area in order to catch the little bastard (in the original PS2 version). If it's that easy....

@Grigorr Where I did it in the video I got it first time without having to kill anything!! It could of been luck but I spent ages where you kill the Fear and I had no joy. i killed everything and I still couldnt get it. Bolshaya Pass South is also good as it has nothing that can get caught. Just need to be patient.
