  • "In terms of sheer batting speed, Albert Pujols swung his preferred 31.5-ounce bat at a speed of 86.99 miles per hour," from a study conducted on Pujols comparing his performance completing several baseball and coordination related tasks vs. the performance recorded for Babe Ruth completing the same tasks some 80 years earlier. So my question, therefore, is WHY IS ANYONE POPPING OFF ABOUT SWINGING A BASEBALL BAT OVER 100 MPH? YOU CAN'T DO IT, SO SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!!!!!!!

  • i watched this video with bryce harper and it showed a cronograph showing the ball exit speed and the highest he got was a 105 i think so im fairly sure you tops you might get in the majors is like 110

  • @DiskidsacomIetehomo His sister is hot tho, plus his speed can be quicker with a light bat, but then the ball wont have any drive.. I thought people from up north fucked there sisters? bc i had a friend from Pennsylvania that fucked her dad, then got caught by her husband.. Im from the south but that shit dont happen down here, except with the blacks

  • 0:11 crotch

  • i dont know what all the arguing is about, but this video is ass. by the way you dont need a 100mph swing to hit bombs... ive never had my swing registered on radar but i would guess its in the 70s to 80s... im not a big guy but i can put a lil somethin on the ball. WATCH MY VID

  • This is what he said to us when he was coaching our team (during this time he was still battling). Alright, I've seen him swing a bat actually played 2B when he was taking BP and the ball was passed me before I took a step. He is a freak, just by what he said he said he once swung a bat at 117 after doing some research last night I found an article saying they clocked his bat once at 110.

All I know is the guy can hit the piss out of the ball, and has one of the quickest bats in the game.

  • He actually I'm not a southern redneck I grew up in Connecticut then moved down to Raleigh... Hamilton went to my fucking high school, actually coached one of my teams, and worked out with another one of my teams for an entire summer.

The ball coming off the bat was not 117. the actual bat speed was 117. I've hit a ball with a bat that registered 93 off the bat on a liner back up the middle, I am not even close to what hamilton swings it.

Too bad I don't have any siblings you idiot.

  • its so funny how much of a liar you are

  • I've played baseball collegiately and on a professional level, and never once ever in my life heard of anyone coming anywhere close to breaking an elbow due to a bad swing. If that's the case I think we'd see at least one player in the majors on the DL due to a broken elbow throughout the year, yet to see it though.. If you're coming close to breaking your elbows not once but "a couple times", you need to be drinking more milk or something. There shouldn't be any pain in your elbows swinging.

  • whats your name? i'll look you up i doubt your even scouted at all...

  • don't sweat it SvNsEt.... BuiltHorde is just pissed and he sounds like some chumpm who didn't play as high as college even. He just needs to chill buy his ticket and enjoy the ballgame.

  • yeah i haven't played college because i'm in high school retard. i've probably swung a bat 10x more than you and svsnset...

  • you obviously didn't research it... and i doubt you can swing 100 mph plus because if you don't swing the bat " exactly right " you shouldnt have good bat speed... all about mechanics

  • thats false

  • you are wrong.

  • There are people who have 100mph batspeed.

But what matters is the generated force which is the mass of the bat*the batspeed.

The heavier the bat the more power and the faster the bat the more power.

There are quite a few guys who can swing a light aluminium bat fast, but very few can do it with a heavy wood bat, this is what matters.

A hundred mph with a light bat might only be 80 mph with a 33ounce MLB bat.

Pros can swing heavy bats fast and thus get power.

  • your right about everything but pro's don't only use heavy bats i've seen -3.5 oz. bats and most of the mlb-ers want -2.5/-3 oz bats. But the swing weight in aluminium barrels is different it isn't as endloaded as any wood bat.

  • bs people have bat speed over 100 mph

  • 100 mph? I think the pros max out at only 70 mph nowhere even close to 100

  • yah. you're right

  • 100mph isnt that special for a pro. josh hamilton's bat speed was clocked at 130 mph

  • thts not true because paul molitor who had the fastest bat ever was clocked at 82.3 mph sammy sosa barry bonds and mark mcgwire were all in the mid 70s so bat speed doesnt necceasarily mean power its all about how u shift your weight

  • i stand corrected this isnt the first time ive been wrong.. lol

    GO PHILS

  • LOL, that is about the stupidest thing I have read on here in awhile. 150? LOL The average mlb player is around 87mph.

You are the fool who should not talk.

  • Look it up idiot there's been plenty of reports from him in boston swinging the coach talked about in a report that its crazy that he can swing faster then everyone in the world. please go research it

  • Yea, he was swinging 150 because he was talking steroids. -.- Nobody can swing 150.

  • Josh Hamilton's was actually 117... I know cause I know him and used to talk with him about it.

  • no, that was probably the speed of the ball coming off of his bat, but that and bat speed are TOTALLY different

  • yeah i think ur right because they would b clocking his swing while he's hitting a pitch thrown at him

  • they clock it seperatly

  • dont roll your wrists youkilis does that and he has like no power

  • thats only when youkilis tries to get on base he hits homers when he doesnt roll his wrists but i c ur point

  • cant see anything dude

  • ...yeah. 1/5

  • gay
