Hah! That's awesome. I have a mild wheat allergy myself, but I still eat bread and things.. I get bloated and fatigued, but my tongue doesn't swell up. I think it's sort of a type of celiac disease. It runs in my family like that.
I've always assumed a 'years worth' was at least one pizza (or whatever item) a week. It doesn't seem all that wonderful when it's just one a month, really.
But still, I hope you enjoy it... minus the swelled tongue and craziness. :)
I like pizza too, but it gives me indigestion unless I have a very small amount of it. But there's something about pizza that always makes me want more! I don't know if it's the wheat, the tomato sauce, or the high fat content that bothers my stomach! But congratulations on your good luck!
You didn't answer me though... my other question... are you leaving the diet? or were you ever on it.... I need to know, since if I'm the only one on the peanut-butter diet, then I might as well quite before it kills me XD
I am still trying to work out how videos get featured these days - I hear it's based on an algorithm but nobody can tell how that works. I was hoping it would show up on the feature box - but it seems pretty random these days!
Well it's a good job you are not allergic to much else or that could get awkward! Yes, the fire was near here, but I didn't see it because there is a school blocking the view (fortunately the school was far enough away not to be harmed!)
Hey, I'm watching your videos on HD for the first time because my new computer can handle it now. Before it was choppy. Wow, I love pizza. If you want help finishing some, let me know. :D I've never had English pizza before.
You could organise a monthly party for all your friends, and they each have to bring something. Then you'd only have to eat one slice or something, then fill up on the other munchies.
Awe bless. The thing is I am highly allergic to chocolate. And every flipping holiday I get chocolate from my husband or friends and they kinda forget. So of course me loving chocolate I eat it, my tongue just swells I feel really nauseous and break out in hives.. but how can you turn down a gift from your husband?
Oh no! I feel for you - and my mum has just developed an allergy to chocolate so she will be going through something similar in the coming months! It's the worst time of year to get it! Not that any time is good.
They just do wheat-based things. the only wheat/gluten-free pizza I have seen in a restaurant is in Edinburgh (you can buy frozen gluten-free ones some places or make your own, but it's not usual in restaurants).
Coeliac testing was inconclusive - I have more of a wheat allergy than an intolerance so it's an immediate effect. Then again a day or two later! Which in some ways may be better as at least I can tell if I have accidentally ingested wheat whereas the poor coeliac people don't know until a long time afterwards and the effects will be much worse long term. It also means I can eat barley - which coeliacs can't (though I have to be careful with rye as too much of that isn't good either).
I did read once that people used believe that tomatoes were poisonous, because they're like a big deadly nightshade berry. I love 'em but there's something naughty about tomatoes, not sure what, onions are the same.
Is there not a way you can be desensitised to particular foods? There was something in the news back in February...Google "Hope over peanut allergy 'cure'".
That approach might work for wheat and dairy too. You would have to cut the pizza into tiny slices... maybe share them with all your thousands of viewers.
Send pizza and we can forget all about the lollipop.
Oh dear I'd not considered the complicated logistics of mailing all those body parts. What about using cellophane...that's good for covering pizza and keeping the blood from spilling.
Yes. Though I haven't died from any of them so maybe I can still eat some of the pizza and survive! Might give most away to whoever is there when I order it, though!
Allergic to wheat? If you don't mind me saying this but I heard it on the Radio. Someone else had a similar allergic reaction to some food group and the joke goes, It's like Viagra for the Tongue. LOL
Now don't slap me please. Have a pleasant weekend.
Are you still getting free pizza?
Larkvall 1 year ago
@Larkvall yes - until November! One a month. I eat it even if it does make me a little ill - not ill enough to stop me eating free pizza!

It's so hard not to eat wheat - it's in almost everything!
Eliseharris 2 years ago
@Eliseharris I keep forgetting to give you my gluten-free recipes! I used to work at a gluten-free bakery and our pizza crusts were AMAZING!!
ryguy9991 2 years ago
Ooh I wish there were more places like that over here! The only one I have ever seen is in Edinburgh!
Eliseharris 2 years ago
I'd like to see a video of you eating a pizza, and then cut to a few hours after so you can tell us how you feel. Is that on the cards?
petetheweet 2 years ago
Probably not! I might just end up giving all the pizza to friends. Would be more sensible.

Twelve pizzas? You've won twelve pizzas? That's got to be the cheapest pizza place in the entire world.

Why did you enter a competition for something that you know you can't eat?
SpannerStrider 2 years ago
It was a draw and I didn't think I would win. There were other prizes.
Eliseharris 2 years ago
I'll come over and eat the pizza for you :)
I know, I know, I'm too kind. You don't have to say it. It's all in a days work.
Priestofbabalon 2 years ago
So, basically, you've won a year's supply of poison?
IamNotTheMoon 2 years ago
Basically!

And congrats on the 3mill! :D
Mrsir2 2 years ago
Thanks - and yes, once a month doesn't seem terribly generous - but it does work out as £180 worth of pizza.
Eliseharris 2 years ago
It actually is good luck because even if you can't eat the pizza all by yourself, then you can have a party once a month! ;-)
And since you'll be on the antihystamines and wheat that makes you kinda loopy, they'll think your really fun too!
ujdo 2 years ago
thats a bit cheap 12 pizzas constitues a years supply?
ClampshellTheMighty 2 years ago
Yeah, it sort of is! They haven't sent me a follow up explaining how to claim yet either .
Eliseharris 2 years ago
what brand of pizza did you win?
ClampshellTheMighty 2 years ago
Three letters starting with an H!
Eliseharris 2 years ago
my first guess would be hut, but I think i'm going for ham!
ClampshellTheMighty 2 years ago
Ah !, a HOT one. That's good. There's nothing worse than cold pizza.
ReflectedImpedance 2 years ago
How did you win the pizza in the first place ?
Just wondering.
Sonicmountain09 2 years ago
I enter a lot of draw competitions. This one was from a code on the back of a bottle of well-known carbonated drink!

The pizza is luck, but the views are talent & persistence.

I love Indian food but unfortunately paprika give me a headache... so I just take aspirins.
I guess you could have a kind of potlach supper with friends, where you supply the pizza but they must bring something gluten-free.

Heh, I like how "A Years Free Pizza" is actually just "12 Free Pizzas".
I don't think you have to eat it if it makes you unwell...I don't think they'll be spying on you through your letterbox to make sure you've eaten it.
