the engine in the corrado has ~16 more horse power. but im not aware of the cars difference in weight. the Golf weigh about 1200 kilos with 240nm 174hp 24v 1.8L

The corrados engine should have 190hp and 3.0L these numbers is at stock ofcourse. so i guess it comes down to weight and aerodynamics to find out wich is faster. owned a golf vr6 myself. cozy car. and with a custom filter and 2.5 inch exhausts the car sound is even more cozy. :D

The Corrado rules. My VR6 Storm was £24999 in 1995 which is why the stopped making them! Got a Leon Cupra R now which is quicker but overall preferred the VR6.

actually the corrado has the 2.9L with 190hp and the golf has the 2.8L with 174hp...so really its neck and neck....but if the gti had the 2.9L with 190hp the golf would kick ass....lighter and smaller body than the corrado....but corrados are better looking though....

i have one, it took me 4500 to buy it and took me another 10000 to drive it for 1 1/2 years

@details22 That's not correct, i have a 1993 corrado from the States and it's a 2.8 L vr6, the europeans corrados have both engines, and the golf vr6 is mainly the 2.8 L, but i do think there's a 2.9 version. It's a good car anyway, either one or the other engine.
