  • I am already persuaded, Mister! I do not even believe in electing these people in first place. You are the first person besides myself who I have heard who thinks these jobs should be more like jury duty than a "career." Our "careers" should be SEPARATE from doing our civic duty to our neighborhoods, cities, states, countries, etc.

  • i have not noticed or have thought in that point of view... your message was an eye opener. i do agree with u. keep up the outstanding work!!!

  • Barack Obama, agent of "change" in Washington, requested an earmark in 2006 for $1 million taxpayer dollars for the hospital where his wife works. Said hospital, gave Michelle Obama a huge raise (nearly $200,000, more than doubling her salary) in 2005 after Barack got elected to the United States Senate. This certainly proves Obama is just a liar and thief! His pastor is a fool to think he's not rich. Obama uses his color for his own advancement, not the poor!

  • He is a genuis!!!

  • It WOULD be a good idea to never reelect our congressmen. And I mean never! LOL. I love this guy! It is a brilliant idea.

  • Very smart guy!!!!!!!!

  • "One of the penalties for not taking an interest in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". --Plato 400BC

  • Olmosm1: Well then can my question to you would be, so you feel that this lot of politicians elected are superior ? God help us if this is the case.

No I do not believe in the present system as it is... we are not being governed as if we were a democratic country..we are being governed by a few oligarchs.

Political parties are vehicles used to hijack what was once the people government, nowbelongs to a few. Those elected people are nothing more than business lobbyist,in disguise.

  • Nels 96: Here I am a Canadian and I have been pushing pretty much the same message. When it comes to politics ...Canadians are just as upset as our good neighbours to our South.

Good work Nels96 and keep up the good work..it catching on in Canada.

  • Kudos I am all for it the only problem is most people who run are incumbents I pledge not to vote for any incumbent ever again is there anyone else who would care to join me

  • No, accountable only to INDIVIDUALS that pay the big bucks - makes no difference what firm they represent, unless it is Big Oil or GM. I would say, VOTE straight Libertarian (my eco teacher once said, if you don't like the party - cast a POSITION VOTE (vote Communist, Fascit, PLAYBOY, whatever) but get out there and vote! Every vote counts - and if tghe Libertraians get more votes - it will cause some (not all the arrogent ^$#%) to revaluate their political phliosophy

  • interesting theory

  • The Fascist Elite Special Interest Groups are running the show. Also note the various Govenors that have been nailed so the speak on Extra's ie (sex) Now calling for NY Gov to resign for his ECA, (sex) it really is so American to not Impeach Bush for Treason but to impeach the NY Gov for Sex. So it's fine to kill millions, but no sex... American's get what they pay for. LOL And this Man is so right.

  • This is an interesting video. In summary: democracy does not keep its civil servants accountable to doing a good job for the public.

I would go farther: re-election keeps them accountable to the businesses whose funds they rely upon to stay in power. In order to convince a business to donate money to their cause, a politician must represent their interest in the political setting. Hence, Americans (and any other democracy) have more power with their dollar than their vote.
