  • You made her dream come true, Carl..

  • when telling the story of carl and ellie it was just a tear jerk-er. i mean when it showed ellie had lost the baby without words just pictures...unbelievable how well they told the story of the ups and downs it really could make kids and adults alike understand what was happening without voices coming out of the characters.

  • i cry!

  • why couldn't they get a baby?

  • Why do I keep watching clips of this movie, I hated it. ): It still makes me cry just thinking about it. They kill off my favorite character in like, the first fifteen minutes. I: Sure, it was funny sometimes, but the beginning just ruined the whole thing for me...

  • i cried.

  • can i cry now please

  • Carl adult looks like J.J Abrahms...

  • BEST PIXAR MOVIE !! PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING !!

  • This part really mace me cry

  • I might have shed a tear as well... A minute, that's all it takes to make us cry... Ah Pixar...

  • i'm crying just watching this. :')

  • Definately Pixar's 3rd best couple.

    For me, it goes:

    1) Sally and Lightning

    2) Wall-e and Eve

    3) Carl and Ellie

  • @CarsInsider i dont think car are that good in romactic they only just race sorry to said that

  • It's so sad when she dies in the movie

  • ITTS LIKE AMERICA, BUT SOUTH!

  • I had a friend that looked exactly like her when we were kids, but then, she moved. I havn't seem her since. Ellie reminds me alot of her. (Still loving ya Devon...)

  • love it!

  • Pixar really knows how to get the tears outta me. ;_;

  • I have never gone to the movies where I cried the first 8 minutes of the movie.

Or had me laughing like crazy right after. This movie is beautiful.

  • pixar is ahead of there time

  • Sigh* mabey someday ill find someone too?

  • I cried. Like a little baby, it was so beautiful, I have never cried at any part of a movie ever. Pixar does serious and beautiful well. I watched it with my girlfriend, we cried, we laughed, we listened. This movie is a masterpiece.

  • This movie was Chronicles of Ridiculously good.

  • Dream relationship right here (minus the sad ending of course).

  • 1:25 haha, the transformation!

  • Ellie couldn't have children right?

    so sad...she died. :(

    I loved this movie! xD

  • @fatimamusic13 Yea Ellie couldn't have kids ,I felt sad when that part came up I always feel like crying when I see a Pixar movie they're so beautiful

  • Everything in this movie came together so well. The expert animation and rendering, character development, storytelling, music, voice acting...to say that is was one thing that made this movie so fantastic would be a severe understatement. It was the work and care of literally thousands of individuals that brought it together :-) And it shows in every single frame, from beginning to end. I could watch this movie again and again, and still feel the same way as when I first saw it.

  • this was so sad! i cried so hard

  • I mean the the begining and ending lol my bad

  • I had never seen a movie that had made me cry in the first minutes of the film before...and it still does.

  • I love all the Pixar movies, but this has to be my favorite. :)

Keep up the good work guys!

  • This incredible movie...

  • I wonder if they make clay models and use the 3d capture device and just run over it with that 3d imaging machine to get the characters.

  • This is one of the best Pixar movies that has been ever made. It's so...well, word's can't describe it. Take my advice and see the movie yourself, people.

  • agh, this movie...so wonderful

  • First Disney movie I've watched that I cried ten minutes in :/

  • This was by far, one of the best animated movies I've seen... I can't wait until I have kids to show them this.

  • T_T Cry que bonito

  • I'm going to look and see if this concept art is on the Blu-ray...

  • for a pixar film it's very emotional :( and awsome i like the music

  • Cried first time I saw this movie ;'(

  • I just bought this on Blu Ray, and it is worth it, Pixar did such a beautiful job like always! I'm married now and I've been buying Pixar's movies slowly, hopefully I'll have children one day and I hope they'll enjoy as much as I do.

  • ahhh i love ellie as a child

    i always quote her

" Adventuree is Out There , You Dont Talk much ....I Like You "

  • i really want to see this again. The beginning is just so sad and then go into this comedy and back to sad again it just makes you feel so good :)

  • my mum cried her eyes out wen she found out ellie died ;'( i dont blame her XD

  • Emocionante...

  • concordo

  • This movie is to cute

  • Something about this music just makes me so happy lol

  • I love this movie! Its just, well, GREAT! I've seen it 13 times, and each time it just keeps getting better!

  • I definetly want to see it again, it's the next BluRay disc i'm going to buy!

  • it made me cry when i saw the movie

  • Comment removed

  • This is probably the first movie to make me cry. The beginning was just, beautiful.

  • how old are you...?

  • @Nocheeseeforyou Try watch Brother Bear!

  • poor ellie :(

  • @J0HN91

yes is was very das she could get any kids and died before making her own dream come true

  • The Carl and Ellie montage was an absolutely beautiful piece of cinema. Not a dry eye in any house anywhere. Congratulations on your 5 Oscar nominations especially Best Picture. Well and truly deserved.

  • I actually wanna see this movie now!

  • amazing ... cong. pixar .. great movie

  • There are studios that say that they put love into their productions.

But there are very very few that prove it with every single frame. Pixar is one of them.

  • cute

  • Up is an amazing movie! and i get so emotional when ellie dies :(

  • That part of the film made me cry... and it's one of the best parts of the movie... congratulations pixar!

  • Pixar makes some of the most adorable female characters I've seen. The largish round head with the tiny, somewhat mischievous mouth and bright eyes just sell me. Somethin' about 'em. Good examples include Ellie and Elastigirl.

  • Ellie is adorable. She looks like Elastigirl and Jessie combined.

  • Pixar's mastery is evident in the emotion and story displayed without any dialogue. Love it.

  • This is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time.

    Up is fantastic.

  • The best Pixar films are the ones where there's no talking. :)

    WALL-E is a great one!

  • Indeed.

  • Up honestly has to be one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life, ranking up with The Shawshank Redemption, Ed Wood, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and others.

    Kudos pixar.

  • I think this is a great example that Pixar can do animated movies for everyone, including adults.

Not only is it amusing for the kids to see a flying house but it also keeps the adults accompanying them transfixed with the underlying story.

  • I always tear up when I watch any part of Carl and Ellie. Whether it be just a flashback of him remembering her or the beginning scenes of the movie, this movie turns me into complete mush. Talk about a real-tear jerker, nothing beats this movie. So emotion-provoking.

  • stupid pixar made me cry with my couch all wet now

  • I think its agree'd that Pixar finally got the worlds tough guy populaton to break out in a single tear with the opening scene with these two! If you didn't have the slightest urge to not cry, whats wrong with you?!

  • so true... seen it many times and still i get all choked up

  • This comment was actually the final straw for me that convinced me to watch the movie. I was so sure I wouldn't cry and the movie was just overhyped. I was absolutely wrong, and I cried twice. :P

    Thank you!

  • so movie was so.....cute

  • it would be awesome if this movie was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture.

  • actually i think it did

  • I saw this movie for the first time this weekend and this scene made me feel strange inside - I don't know what it is.

That got me thinking: Can this kind of love/relationship exist in today's society? (Carl is probably 70 or so in this movie, that means he's born in the 30-40's)

    What do you guys think?

  • i was kinda sad knowing that all those years he spent chasing that dream of theirs the dream of adventure, when it turned out that her adventure was marrying and spending her life with him

  • i cried when i saw the movie!!

  • Made us all cry - we watched Up after Thanksgiving dinner - when Ellie past away. =~(

  • @starfire217 It's an amazing movie but you may cry in parts. It's my favorite movie of all time so it's REEAAAALLY Good!

  • @starfire217 i rate it 4.7 outta 5 cause it lacks a bit of humor.

  • its an awesome movie

  • @starfire217 Its AMAZING best pixar movie out there... It made me almost cry.

I did too. Caught me off guard a bit

  • This made me soo sad... it made me realize that life goes by so fast and you gotta make the best of it!

  • i never cry at movies until that whole segment of the film

  • Oh my goodness, the directors were right, even with this clip, it started make me cry and wipe my eyes of tears. BRAVO to the team at Pixar, this motion picture deserves an Academy Award for animated feature of 2009!

  • this is a very beautiful movie.

btw,i was crying when ellie died. it was sad. ;( i was sorta hoping that carl and ellie would live longer toghether too..

  • Tha best movie ever.Carl and ellie,,awesome couple.I want to find a partner like that.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

  • Seriously wanted to cry here lol..but diddnt

  • I CONFESS..... i cried too

  • i cried the like 4 times at that part!!

  • it's a beautiful thing when artists are encouraged to follow their instincts and do what they're best at.

the result is seen in UP.

in this clip you'll see the evolution of imagination and feeling put finally on - screen.

I watched the Special Features parts on the Blu Ray and the commitment to getting it 'right' was beyond amazing! Artists climbing those mountains and risking their lives for the sake of great art.

Thanks to all at Pixar and, dare I say it, Disney for contributing for all.

  • wonderful speech *claps*

  • i love carl and ellie

THE CUTEST ANIMATED COUPLE EVER :)

  • I think it was Pixars most meaningful, moving, and most humorous movie.

The only reason it didn't get such acclaim as Finding Nemo of Toy Story is that its appeal wasn't geared to little kids.

    Fine by me. lol

    Epic film

  • I cried when Ellie dies :( It was sad.

  • i cried when Ellie died

  • my grandma almost cried at the end of the little part showing his life

  • Carl and Ellie's story truely hit home because my mom wasn't supposed to have kids. So, to me, the story of "UP' is the story of my parents if they had not adopted my oldest sis and if the miricle of my sister and me had not have happened. It almsot makes me want to see that other universe where my parents never had kids, just to see how much like Carl and Ellie they'd be.

  • love this, it's adorable<3 but quite sad at the end/:

  • i like how they dont show the extremely sad parts that happened during that part in the movie

  • me and my gf - cheesy smile-

  • Song name?

Up is a beautiful movie. Pixar has such quality that you can't find anywhere else. They don't rush, they take thier time, and it shows. Thumbs Up Pixar : )

  • I MUST BUY... THIS MOVIE

  • i loved the ending, when the house fell, & the old man said "its just a house", i was all sad & happy . then the camera went to the cliff & it was in the spot where ellie wanted it <3 made me smile. CUTEST movie EVER .

  • I wish you could still find this kind of love.

  • i love this movie! i creid when ellie died amd when she didn't have the baby too!

  • cried like a baby when ellie died. :(

  • It was rather funny when my parents and I were watching this film.....when my Dad was in the military, he was stationed in Germany for some time before they had children. They always promised they would go back to Germany for an anniversary.

During the beginning of the movie, my mother turned to my father and joked, "Is Germany our Paradise Falls?"

Very good film. It felt like an extended version of one of Pixar's short films, yet it never ran out of energy.

  • I thought it a very sad movie overall.

  • I like how this movie is sorta mix mashed.

The problem is reveiled near the middle, climax and first solution at the beginning, and of course the happy ending at the end.

  • such a lovely movie!

  • I told myself i wouldn't cried again thru the movie but oh jeez it got me again when ellie died

  • oh i know! same here! no one understood why i was crying like a baby! i cried 3 times

  • same

  • lol th eheads :P

  • This is definitely one of my favorites. I went to the movies a million times to see it. I love it.

  • i cried when ellie died and when she did not have the baby!!

  • oh my god i did too! i loved this movie when i saw it. i think ellie and carl are so sweet :]

  • True Love *Forever and Ever*

  • ellie looks like my grandma :)

  • This Is The Most Epic Pixar Movie Cause It Has Action Romance And Depression

  • Sip.. yo si lloro con esta pelicula T-T

  • The end of the movie really got me too. The house actually lands on the right spot. :*D

    This movie was beautiful

  • emazez me how they evoked so much emotion in the begining sequence of the movie....i really didnt know either of the characters first time seeing it yet somehow i cried within the first 10 minutes of the movie...amazing how they made you care for the characters in such a short period of time

  • hearts warming movie

  • This has to be one of my favorite movies, but it makes me cry every time. : )

  • i loved this movie

  • when ellie died i was kinda crying =(

  • me tooo and it always made me sad when he kept saying "were almost there ellie" and when he lost the house but it landed were she wanted it

  • Don't worry. I was too. haha
