The GT and Diamonback are entry-level cross country bikes. They are NOT meant for jumping, and you'll destroy those bikes if you keep riding them that way.

@zthumper021 I'm not sure I'm qualified to give you advice. Trail racing and jumping are two completely different types of riding, so I'd lean towards whatever you think you will do the most. I'm a racer myself.

i would love to race here or ride here the trails near me are great but i dont have a car so.. i could ride 20 miles to a trail then ride it for 18 miles then ride back

Hmm. It doesn't look like cross country to me. Firstly the race is certainly too short and secondly it does not place much emphasis on endurance, rather on technical skills.

I agree, but it's the closest you can get to Cross Country indoors. The race is about 8 minutes long and maybe two miles total.
