  • ITS SO FUCKING LAME!!!!

  • How do you delete the cube at the beginning? :P

  • wooow i hope you normal map that!

  • How does this video have 20,000 views!?!

  • My blender doesnt have the mesh tools so what should I do?

  • hey can you make a tutorial for me.

i am trying to make a halo remake game but i need to now how to switch from a person to a car (warthog) and back to a person where you parked the car

can you do that for me plz it would really help alot

    nice videos

  • if u dont want to delete teh cube everytime, when u start blender delete the cube and press ctrl+U or maybe alt+u i dont remember and click save as user default and U NEVA HAVE TO DELETE THE HOBO ON THE BOX AGAIN! W00T!

  • @x1expert1x

hehe yea im aware of that, i actually have my own set-up thats all done just the way i like it but i like too keep the default one so that people who are less familier with the blender interface will have the same set-up as me so they can follow along, but im sure that will help alot of other people who read it.

  • how do you delete stuff? sorry I just downloaded blender

  • @mercforhire1 You select to object you want to delete and then press on delete on your key board and then select yes on the pop up that will come up. Hoped this help :)!

  • @Frenchchikn I uninstalled blender, it was to complicated

  • @mercforhire1 Did you uninstall English too? It seems too complicated for you too.

  • i'd be amazed if you showed how to make an aztec statue of coatlicue or a 3d platform or something that would be amazing!

  • You mean press 'N' when you want your Sculpt Options.

  • you can also just hit w to subdivide and other stuff. ☻/ This is bob, copy paste him everywhere so he can take over the Internet. You've been Bobbed __̴ı̴̴̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡ ̡͌l̡*̡̡ ̴̡ı̴̴̡ ̡̡͡|̲̲̲͡͡͡ ̲▫̲͡ ̲̲̲͡͡π̲̲͡͡ ̲̲͡▫̲̲͡͡ ̲|̡̡̡ ̡ ̴̡ı̴̡̡ ̡͌l̡̡̡̡.__ this is bobs house.

  • my blender doesn't have mesh tools...what version is he using?

  • i think this one was dose with 4.8... but 4.9 also has mesh tools... maybe try follow the tutorial again word for word... you need to be in edit mode of a mesh to see the mesh tools panel appear... else it is unavailable

  • @hamsterhill I think you mean 2.48 and 2.49?

  • press tab and the mesh will high light and mesh tools will apear

  • @anudeeptoora thxs that worked =)

  • Try installing latest version of python

  • I thought the same untill I saw he was in Edit Mode (if you freeze at 0:29), so just change that and it'll hopefully pop up. (:

  • @nightelf2004 press tab to get them.

  • i use a add-on called sculpt mesh (add, mesh, sculpt mesh) cuz i play Second Life online sim type game an import what i make but anyway i get an error when i try to use the fractal it says "unable to complete action with mutiers on"

how do i fix this so i can use it like you?

  • You do know that there are other 2 easier ways to draw nicer terrain?

    1. requires to have a 2D drawer where you make black noise on white paper, the more black it is the higher the terrain will be.

    2. is a special tool in blender in wich you start dividing, however with this tool when you move a point, every other point moves with it in order to look hilly and not go straight up

  • ok well the first technique youre talking about involves useing a displacement modefire which only allows you to change the vertexs highs across one axis... unless you have created a normal map which would require you to model the entire thing beforehand completely defeating the perpous. and the secound way you mention is exactly what i said accept useing multires instead of just subdividing the mesh strait off... this technique gives you a quick randomly generated terrain that you can then edit

  • yep, its them....sorry I thought you didn't knew them because you haven't used them (in this tutorial).

  • keep in mind that this video was made like a year ago... could have learnt alot since then.

  • Hey, that looks alot like the map editor in Far Cry.

  • How do we apply the colors to this? I tried using the texture paint mode, but whenever I choose a color, I can't seem to be able to apply it to any of the objects/textures.

  • ay.. its just a mesh object... you can do materials just like with every other object. watch my tutorial on stenciling it might be what your looking for

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks. =)

  • for some reason mine wont sculpt when i click on it

  • Very cool thank you

  • THX

  • when I'm making landscape, I like going form the ground up. I usually just add multires and make the landscape with different brushes in sculpt mode. It gives you more control (in my opinion)

  • Very nice tutorial. I wish I had this a few years ago. I created a landscape in a few or my videos using a digital elevation model to affect the shape of the subdivided plane. I would have love to use the sculpting tools to shape it a bit better.

What did you use for your screen capture?

  • camtasia

  • hm ok is there a way that i can get a terrain like that but with a low poly count? like what if im working with the game engine? that would be a real hassle to have that many polys.

  • once your done use the decimate modifire to cut out the un-needed faces

  • tried it crashed blender.

    has like 15000 vertecies.

  • well you can always just actually model what you want... instead of useing something like this just extrude out faces and move bits around lik you would when modeling other stuff.

  • It would be cool to combine this with the lava tutorial.

  • you can go to water editing and put color red

  • lol super3boy... lmao! how old is he??

  • lol nobody knows but my guess is about 8-10

  • just heard on his forum that his 17

  • meh i suppose some people just mature latter then others.

  • no way he 17. he said he was a kid.

  • guys enter in &fmt=18 at the end of the address bar for a higher quality one.

    (works on any video)

Comment: Nice tutorial! Found you from nystic... Thanks.

  • lol oh yea nystic... that has to be one of the worst forums i've been on. it has a nice enough community but the mods and ruls there are bs

  • i hate it too.

  • Finally, a blender tut where the dude's voice isn't unbearably annoying!

  • ha ha ha... cheers man i know exactly what you mean. it's hard to learn when the guy teaching you sounds like he's just out of kindergarten.

  • This guy is british too. I love listening to british accents.

  • lol your a bit off there buddy im from new zealand. but thanks.

  • Thanks for a easy to follow tutorial. Cool method.

  • cheers thanks for the comment.

  • at the end could you tell me how to make the plane into water. and what were you going to explain at the end when your audio cut off.

the rest of the tutorial is brilliant and really informative.

    thanks,

    keep it up.

  • oh i didn't do anything fancy to the water its just like a really soft carm water. but i'll put a link up in the discription to a good tutorial about how to do water.

  • thanks really appreciate it.
