  • This song fills me with an inexplicable sense of loss. It's as if a dear friend is about to leave, never to return. It makes me think, "It's over now, but at least I have the memories".

That's how I feel about the game. I already feel nostalgia for it, and it's characters, though I only played for the first time about a month ago.

  • Kid looks at the replay button...

  • Kid just listened for a while..

  • Type replay before "youtube" in the address bar, :)

  • Blew me away. When I heard this song it made me buy the game and then the album.

  • Goose bumps, this game is an audio masterpiece

  • if you want to download the track of the end them go to clip.dj and type bastion end theme

wanted to put in the url but youtube wouldnt let me sorry

  • So long, Kid. Maybe I'll see you in the next one...

  • My heart shuddered in happiness when they released the CD on steam for this.

  • Neither a video game nor a song have ever brought tears to my eyes before. But when I saved Zulf and chose to embrace the new world...and heard this...I'd never heard anything more beautiful in a video game before.

  • ni dieu ni maître

  • I finished the game 5 minutes ago, and the end of the game was so beautiful, i loved it *_*

  • They certainly saved the best for last.

  • Mother I'm here

  • This needs a replay annotation

  • no "build that wall" won at the VGA

  • Best music at the VGA

  • This game means something.....it just means so much with its story and its innovation. This is the only game that has ever drawn me into it and made me feel emotion along with the game.

  • @RIFtrage You're right, it DOES mean something.

It's hard to accept it when you've failed. Harder still when lives are lost because of your failure. But what if you had the hope of going back to BEFORE you made that mistake? Would you EVER be able to move on, if that hope existed?

You can hear it in Rucks' voice. Almost nothing is real to him, because he hasn't accepted the consequences as lasting. When he sees the Ura childrens' drawing, he tries to make it NOT real.

  • @HeroOfTheHolySword But therein lies the message.

The Bastion can't fix mistakes. It only sets things back. It's a rewind button, and erasing our failures, forgetting history, only makes it all repeat.

Sometimes you just have to accept your failure and move forward, even when it seems like there's nothing left.

  • I have fail not to buy it when Steam cut the price down 50% a few days ago, yesterday I can't resist myself and buy it a full price. I think I will not regret it but just feel I should buy it earlier.

  • Well I thought that Rucks is actually The Kid gone back through time through the Bastion's rebuilding of things. It didn't solve everything because The Calamity still happened and he had to rebuild The Bastion. I mean, they kind of hint at it when Rucks talks about how similar they are. They talk about how rare his hair color is and they're both the same. I mean, when you stand the kid next to Rucks, they look the same.

  • @cheesepuff18 "Kid reminds me an aweful lot of myself, when I was his age."

You actually make a pretty good point with that. If The Kid isn't factually Rucks from the past, he could well be symbolically. There's no denying how similar Rucks and The Kid are in both personality and in appearance.

  • This reminds of The Dear Hunter, and The Sounds of Animals Fighting. Simply fantastic, makes me want to play the game.

  • @Raxxzor I love both of those bands. You are a cool dude.

  • This song just made me buy the sound track. Best OST I have ever heard it is beautiful.

  • IF THEY DONT REMAKE THIS GAME I WILL HAVE TO THINK IT ALREADY CAME OUT LIKE HL3. ya hl3 was great.

  • @Graymail12345 Remake it? Why would they remake it? It just came out.

  • "The Calamity took everything from almost everyone, and almost everything from everyone else."

  • The game was simply outstanding

The story was awesome and the music is just epic

  • i have a sneaking suspition that Ruck's is the Kid's father, and used the money from the kid's mother to build the bastion. also, why are Rucks and the Kid the only Caelondians not turned to ash by the Calamity. are they part Ura too?

  • @muddbabesari Nah, kids father was probably a soldier in the Ura and Caelondian war and proabably died.

And also ,many Ura were turned to ash too.

And the Bastion is natural, Rucks just built some stuff with him.

  • @muddbabesari have you noticed that all the people who were alive was sleeping during the calamity?

  • "All the moments in my life I'd want to relive happened after the Calamity, not before it..."

  • Most touching ending btw. Especially the part with Zulf was way beyond anything I had expected from this game. If you've made the right decision, that is ;)

Honestly - I don't think I've ever seen a scene that can compare to this one in any other video game up to now.

  • Omg the narrators voice was like ear sex =|. So was the music xD.

  • I smell a sequel, somehow. Way too early to tell, although, I am so glad I bought the game and its OST.

  • Oh how I did wish this game was longer. Good lord was the music beautiful.

  • I swear I played this game the second time around just to enjoy the music. Oh, and the narration.

  • @ReaverEternal Ha! I'm with you there.

  • @ReaverEternal Same guys
