Having heard a live Il Divo version of this piece (on the DVD that accompanies the Wicked Game album), would have to say that the live Il Divo harmonies are more impressive than the harmonies in this version. You cannot really compare a live version to a studio version though, as that is unfair. I had never heard of these guys before, but will listen to them again. That's the beauty of music, everyone has their own opinion.

@MisfitsToFreaxxs13 Hi, The reason Il Divo guys are from different countries is because Simon Cowell was purposely looking for 4 guys from differnet countries. I think I read that Simon auditioned over 2,000 guys. I'm sure he hired talent scouts for this. They also had to be slim, good looking and could look great in Armani clothes. Simon is a fussy guy. He's easy to love or hate, no in betweens. My fav Canadian is Ice skater Jeffrey Buttle. Hope he will skate to something by Can. Tenors.

No one would be recording this version if Lara Fabian hadn't written both the english and the italian lyrics for her own 1999 version of the song. Still I believe that no one has been able to top her on that .... why? Because of the production of this particular version and both Il Divo's versions is dreadful. Lara had a much more classier sound that singers like Celine or Barbra would be delighted to record.

Very nice. The CT remind me of singers I hear on Sunday morning church programs on tv. Especially Fraser. But I do love Victor's voice. I would consider seeing them in concert if they were singing locally. It's hard to compare them to Il Divo as they are really very different. But with Il Divo, there is no question: If they are performing anywhere near me, unless someone in my immediate family is sick... I am there. I have been known to travel for Divo. :-)

Ummmmm..... where have the additional lyrics come from? The original lyrics are so powerful, I really think they shouldn't have messed with them.

And I think it just sounds funny when they all sing together in this. I couldn't stop laughing. Leave the Italian harmonising to Blake in this sort of arrangement.

Il Divo consists of three tenor voices two of which are trained in the operatic style one who is a self trained pop singer AND one very strong baritoneThe Canadian TENORS are ...wait for it.....tenors. They both sing cross over songs both are very good at what they do. Il Divo has a more POWERFUL sound and the Canadian Tenors have a softer gentler sound both groups are very handsome, romantic singers, So let's just enjoy them for what they are - Fantastic singers and stop comparing them.

God, the comments here are amazing. It's all about "Canadian Tenors vs Il Divo", or basically, "my daddy can beat up your daddy". It's comparing apples to oranges people. The two groups have different voices, so to say one is better than the other is all purely subjective. It's like having an argument whether apples or oranges taste better. I like Il Divo, but I personally like the way the Canadians harmonies mesh & aren't overpowering compared to Il Divo, but it's my opinion.

Sorry "maritimemama" you got it all wrong about the Canadian Tenors are Il Divo wannabe's. They are much more superior than IL Divo. Il Divo couldn't even buy harmony if they paid millions of dollars. The Canadian Tenors evoke emotions and sang each and every song in perfect harmony. To top it off they are humble and like-able individuals. If they are not good they wouldn't be on Oprah at such an early stage of their careers. As for Il Divo they only have one baritone in the bunch.

Sorry but these IL Divo wannabe's are ok but vocally don't even come close. They sing Hallelujah, The Adagio and a couple of other songs that IL Divo has done since they hit the stage in 2006 and these guys are nowhere near the caliber. (and they aren't 1/2 as good looking as ID, in my opinion)
