  • If a dog is PennHip'd at 1 yr...is there a possibility that the DI measurements will change, either increase/decrease, later on in the dogs life?

  • Hi, I'm sorry for the delay in response to your question, you may also refer to our facebook page. So far, there's been one longitudinal study by Smith et al. showing that the DI does not change significantly starting at 4 months of age up until 3 years of age. Additionally, a study by Gold et al. showed that the DI does not change with the onset of osteoarthritis. Based on these and other studies, we highly suspect that the DI does not change over the life of the dog.
