  • i miss doing that it was fun no all the boys hang out by the ummmm boat dock idk what to call it but down the road

  • Hey (: Me and my mates did that, the one where the person at the start was walking on is called " Runway " and the one where he jumped off is called " Crimfield " (:

  • probably a stupid question, but what does tombstoning mean exactly?

  • @teambrucewillis

The practice of jumping into the sea or similar body of water from a cliff or other high point such that the jumper enters the water vertically straight, like a tombstone. The term 'tombstoning' is more commonly used in the UK and Europe than in North America.

    Hope this help?

  • @minotaur3868 thanks, its just ive seen so many videos and I wasnt sure how it got its name. Thanks again

  • @teambrucewillis pleasure m8, glad to be of assistance

  • @teambrucewillis Well, Tombstoning is a deadly craze that involves peobple jumping off cliffs, rocks and harbour walls into the sea. It has inspired a host of websites and an expanding band of daredevil followers who love to try out the best sites around the country. Tombstoning, so called because of the high level of fatalities and serious jumpers, has grown in popularity among teenagers and is normally done when the sea is at its roughest and most dangerous

  • and there was me proud of my 12 ft jump in ibiza :{

  • Roughly 60 feet

  • @StopMotionMind Yeh 60ft seems more like it. Just picture a 6ft man then work out how many head to toe would it take top to bottom. Not hard.

  • We all know it wasn't 100ft but it must have been very scary i did it in cornwall and it is scary so give him some credit even if it wasnt 100ft

  • wow, that's at least 180ft

  • this is ABOUT 10 meteres wich is 30-34 ftish you'll hit the water at 40mph needed about 8-9ft to go down before returning, and ive done this jump its the biggest ive ever done/probally will ever do

  • @jakemate2k8 that is definitely not 30ftish u tard ill show you a 30 ft drop and i know cause we actually measured it

  • @tireoghain1V yeah i kinda feel like a tit cause i did that jump after writing the comment and its fucking huge, a bigger one in plymouth is blue box the left hand side of laira bridge its a sortof crane structure

  • @jakemate2k8 its about 15 metres..

  • omg this is me in this video!

  • Benn there done that when I was 18! not now though told old and to wise lol

  • do a bk flip nex time

  • I have jumped off the cliff in Eyemouth, scotland and there is nothing to worry about that and that took 4 secs to hit the water

  • OK folks, I guess we've established that I over estimated the height! Whatever it is, when you stand there and look down, its a fair drop!

In response to lewisbaymanlewis's emailed question, I was filming the kids as I live in Plymouth and was just having a stroll with the family and relatives and saw this and thought it would be good to film and put up on hear for other like-minded folks to view. Why?

  • not bad

  • no ways thats 100 ft, i jumped 80 ft and u get about 3-4 seconds of airtime

  • @ConnorFergusonRules 80ft would give you 2.2 seconds of airtime, assuming you dropped straight down... To get 4 seconds of airtime, would require you to fall from 258.984 feet... So... Yeah...

  • I timed the jump, it was roughly 1.8 seconds. If we assume his was airborne for 1.8 seconds, exactly, then using the equation, t=SQRT(2h/g), then that jump was 15.8922 metres (52.44426 feet). Still pretty impressive, though.

  • @RSContrast wtf bro

  • @cjcjx1 Yeah...

  • @RSContrast I measured it once with a ribbon tape and it was 59ft (not sure if the tide was in or out though)

  • @t4tvs 59ft. I said 52... Not too bad... Like you said, you have to allow for tides. Also, my calculations were based off him going directly down, whilst the guy in this video runs out a bit... Pretty interesting though.

  • sick that m8

  • probably isnt even 50 ft of off corinthians wall ! tide looks to be in as well so even less probably

  • Can''t wait til summer :)

  • Lads have been jumping off these rocks for years, we used to do it when we knocked around the hoe in the 80's. It's part of growing up and letting your mates know you have bottle. Oh and usually the higher the cliff, the better looking chick you had.

  • ha ha ha the kid speaking in background of this sounds like perry from kevin and perry go large ha ha ha

  • Haha!! I Think i know who that is!?! He goes my school i might be rob or jake :D

Guys its not as hard as it looks, i have jumped off there..

  • it looks pretty sketchy

  • Thats not any of them, its my mate lewis with his mates james and joey.

  • I thought it was :D.. HAve u seen the vid of tob tomb stoning on BBC iPlayer on the news ?? :D

  • Mad as fuck! The kids an idiot..but he's got balls. fuck that for a game of soldiers! lol

  • I was born in Plymouth.

    Freedom fields hospital (Demolished).

I would never swim in the sound tbfh.

  • m8 it is bout 50 feet and it is easy to jump

  • i do ceremthion all the timee :L

  • thats not 100 feet about 40 not high at all.....

  • omg ho9w weird is that i was looking at these videos, and i see a comment by you :O

  • Thats because im in some of the vidoes people have done doing this robyn, im a dangerous boy watch out :O ;)

  • i jumped that AND IM 12 :p

  • Ugh Youtube keeps suggesting video's from Plymouth, England instead of Plymouth, USA ahaha

  • What? This exact clip? They didnt ask my permission or pay me commission?!?

  • I think so, it said tombstoning in plymouth on the top

  • Hey this vid was just on look north :)

  • The only accidents people have is when they jump it without checking the tides. Otherwise its pretty safe

  • cool

  • huuuuu aww did u get it lmfao

  • Dude That WAS me LOL!!!

  • Brilliant, you did well, kiddo. Ignore the 'tards who post negative stuff about it. Its deep enough, clear enough and straight down so nowt to worry about (apart from the height, obviously!!)

  • so sad, kinda low tide... you should see my vids!!!

  • stupid retard i live near there n ppl hav had serious accidents

  • see the splash at 1:13

  • Quality! We jump off rocks about 1 1/2 times the size of this bridge, amazing feeling. Can't beat it!

  • hes got balls i give him that..... wrighty hope u get run over cos that would be funny

  • ive done that jump i will never do that one again

  • My thoughts exactly! They werent hurting anyone (including themselves) so whats the problem?

  • What's wrong with people who have such a problem with thrill seekers that they wish death upon them?

  • @treeskier170 shut the fuck up

  • If you had read my comments, numbnuts, you would have known that these are not friends etc of mine, I just filmed them as I was walking past! If you aint got a worthwhile comment, dont bother making one, waster!!
