  • That was awesome.

  • Wow somebody that knows how to program properly at last!

Nice dont be lazy :P record the sound direct into pc I hate listening to cam mics :(

  • hey, im thinking about buying this bad boy, does the sound quality compete with other higher end drum machines?

  • @flash92 it's 44.1 but the output stage on these things is budget, well its a budget piece of gear at the end of the day, but they have a great gritty sound that is very usable in srs productions I think.

  • i like this!

  • No.

    This is crap.

  • ......?

  • man, first off, you have some really geat vids.

but I am wondering (sure i'm not the only one) if you could make a demo of the "song" process, from the beginning on the esx to a DAW? it'd be much appreciated.

  • hey what program do you use? i'm a beginner who has no idea about this stuff but really wants to get started. i have a microkorg and want to get an emx, an esx or an akai mpc500 once i have the money to get one of them...what is the best way to get started? i'm planning on adding some of these elements to the music that my band makes...is it very hard to make your own stuff with these machines?

  • Holy hell yes. This was excellent.

  • SICK !

  • this one is very nice.. ;)

  • Where can i Buy This Machine??

  • Do you need a computor for this wonderful machine to function?

  • @Airwar405 no computer required just a set of speakers or headphones. it uses 1/4 inch jacks so the proper cabling is also required. the esx is a sampler so you would need a sample source. an ipod or even a microphone would work for that, use your imagination. there is limited internal memory so a memory card is used to store/transfer data. the emx-1 and esx-1 use smart media but they just announced a updated version that used sd media

  • lOVE THE WAY YOU WENT INTO IT. TOMS SOUND HEAVY

  • there u hv a novation keyboard isnt it? whats best, that midi keyboard or m-audio oxygen? your video is very good i want this thing too. oh n' u hv to buy the mpd 32 instead 24! buy the korg kaoss pad 3 too and then u'll hv an almost exelent studio ; )

  • Hi Joey ! Just baught a Korg ESX1 in France (yes I'm French), and I become mad with the little riff you made between 2mins and 2mins06 !

How did you make that? I really want to do it by myself but I can't !!! Give me your tricks please!

And also : thank you for your "korg esx1 tutorial video". Really good!

If someone could help me.. I'll sleep better!

    Thanx a lot!

  • 0.0

  • very good m8.. when exactly 2 mins comes in you should ave made a bangin house style of that riff and a bangin bassline..that loop sounds as if it was wasted.

but really good, i enjoyed it m8

  • nice work man.but i have one question how did you make the samples for this track ?

  • for anyone that has a esx-1 can plug a guitar in it and use the effects and tubes like a tube amp then go strait to a recording device.

  • I have this drum machine. He can use it pretty good. Takes a lot of practice.

  • i give him props. it's tough

  • this is nice.

  • hey! i was wondering if you can like make the beat on in a speaker and plug via midi to another synth( like a korgms2000r) to bring an external synth out? 'cause i saw a jomox doing this and i was OMG! but i want this so bad.

  • yeah - u can def to that

  • too fast man!!

  • If you dont want the presets just initiaize everything, than sample and create your own stuff i.e. patterns, songs etc..

If you want to back your work up you will need atleast a 32MB smartmedia card.

  • Man , I got also the esx. how can i build a whole song??? from few patterns?

  • do you have a computer with a DAW ??? if not get a bigger media card for the drum machine and sequence in the machine

  • @joeyparanoia yeah how can u make a full song? What is DAW?

  • yeah, learn to program it proper, use the motion triggers, and sample more intelligently.

  • Nice Work!

  • good rhythm!! good job;)

  • Hell yeah! Massive!

    Cheers

  • yeah!

    very good!

    thanx

  • hi

    good soundz!

i got an es1 mkII but i think i'm gonna upgrade to esx-1!

do you know if we can assign sample to key part? i hope they're not built in samples...

    cheers

  • hello! you can def. assign samples to key parts - its amazing for drums samples

  • i own an ES-1 as well as an ESX-1...They are both amazing machines. Nice video as well.

Anyone know if "1.03" is the latest operating system for the ESX?

  • man i wish i had money to buy that shit i'm stuck with that damn redrum machine in reason

  • which is better emx-1 or esx-1????

    good vid

  • esx-1 is a sampler and emx-1 more of a synth mod. i dont have a emx-1 but im sure theyre both pretty equal - just depends on what sound your trying to get .

thanks for comment - pls subscribe

  • this is very good friend! good job

  • cheers

  • god bless u

  • cual es mejor la esx1 o la emx 1????

    esta chido tu video

  • One of the best Electribe SX video I have watched until now. All you did is using the original samples and I think only one or two patterns...good shit!! I have one of this machine and I´d like to add new samples, so the only way to do this is using a SM card?, isnt it?

  • What are these things called?

  • things ??? korg esx-1 DRUM MACHINE ???

  • It's primary function is as a "sampler" but it also has a "sequencer" so you can actually plot out music and craft songs.

It's not just for drums, either. A sampler can be used to make music with whatever you can save as a .wav file :) loops, different instruments, noises, ANYTHING.

  • love that mate! are they all samples from records or on board samples?

  • i love that super grimey sound in C (some Bs in there too), with the 8th notes. Super funky.

  • i have a question...does this have an internal sound source (oscillators, so you can make your own beats without using external samples)? or that is just the EMX1?

i am looking forward on buying one of them, but i dont know wich one...

  • yes it does - the red one i have is a sampler with Modulations and Filters

  • thanks...so what is the main diference between the blue and red one? just that the red one can sample external sounds? whilst the blue one has more synth posibilities?

  • EXACTO

  • muchas gracias...voy mañana mismo a comprarme la roja...

  • Anyone out there! I'm having trouble uploading samples to my korg esx1. I dont he a smart media card yet, but im pretty sure theres a bit of internal memory i can save to, anyone keen on helpin me out?

    Peace....

  • buy a SM card and start sampling away --- i dont think u can sample into the EXS until u get one ... although u can reSAmple the stock samples already in there

  • So can u acually custom build a beat or is that like editing built in sample beats?

  • this was using all stock sounds ... but of course u can sample your own sounds to create custom beats and grooves

  • Doesn't matter if you were screwing around. It sounds pretty cool to someone with an open mind and ears to go along with it.

  • freaking kool job man!!!!

  • Quite cool sounnd!

  • ooh i see that 16square magic goin on

  • not bad

  • wicked beat, and some cool sounds in there - starts off kinda daft punky and then moves on to something similar to this band called Diverted..

    nice!

  • i liked it......funky......definetly original too

  • if they love you or hate u your doing something right

  • joey ignore the fucking haters

  • go to wells electronis and get this sampler fixed. its your last chance b4 europe

  • this is the wurst electribe video i have watched.

  • i know what a joke

  • FIX YOUR DRUMachine!!! this is yourself talking to u

  • I'm liking this!

  • Ha!

The competition makes me want to invade Poland!

  • Hey, i just got mine and even though it's used I'm so afraid to use it ... please tell me that smoking makes you better at it? because if not then i'm not quite as beat based in my approach as i hoped and i need to start doing drugs again lol...which i won't unless i make absolutely no progress at all in getting good at this shit.

  • take drugs - talk less -

  • can you hook them up to amps?

  • yeah i like it..

    you used some nice sounds..

  • this is shit, ma grampa makes better beats then dis shit.

  • hes right this is nothing special - all stock sounds just fuckon arouni

  • wow yall thinkt his good...i must be deaf

  • you got it going!

  • I'm getting one of these in like two weeks.. can't wait

  • really cool

  • OMG! :)

  • does anyone know how to have longer looping samples going on while shorter samples are repeating underneath it? i still havent figured it out! is it possible? is it in front of me?

  • wow this is awesome ! record button all time on :)

I need much longer for a pattern :(

  • does it come with those sounds in it or are they externally added

  • THESE ARE STOCK SOUNDS > NOTHING ADDED

  • really.. awesome!!

  • sp how you get like say your own sounds on it

  • AV IT!!!!

  • Shit ...Sounds like a casio.

  • craaaazzzy machine u got over there

  • EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!

  • pretty masterful, and looks like fun, thanks for postin'

  • Well I got my ESX last week, and I agree with you. I reversed the arpeggiator too. It makes it easier to play accurate arpeggios. Check out my new esx demo sometime.

  • Nice video homie! check out my little beatmaking short film...

and my website beatmakingtube (add the com)

  • is the esx1 just a sampling version of the mx1?

  • yea esx1 is the sampler

  • that was cool!

  • amazing! i love that! beautiful! that akai md is also good! keep it up dude!

  • can you create your own sounds with the ESX1?
