@flash92 it's 44.1 but the output stage on these things is budget, well its a budget piece of gear at the end of the day, but they have a great gritty sound that is very usable in srs productions I think.
but I am wondering (sure i'm not the only one) if you could make a demo of the "song" process, from the beginning on the esx to a DAW? it'd be much appreciated.
hey what program do you use? i'm a beginner who has no idea about this stuff but really wants to get started. i have a microkorg and want to get an emx, an esx or an akai mpc500 once i have the money to get one of them...what is the best way to get started? i'm planning on adding some of these elements to the music that my band makes...is it very hard to make your own stuff with these machines?
@Airwar405 no computer required just a set of speakers or headphones. it uses 1/4 inch jacks so the proper cabling is also required. the esx is a sampler so you would need a sample source. an ipod or even a microphone would work for that, use your imagination. there is limited internal memory so a memory card is used to store/transfer data. the emx-1 and esx-1 use smart media but they just announced a updated version that used sd media
there u hv a novation keyboard isnt it? whats best, that midi keyboard or m-audio oxygen? your video is very good i want this thing too. oh n' u hv to buy the mpd 32 instead 24! buy the korg kaoss pad 3 too and then u'll hv an almost exelent studio ; )
very good m8.. when exactly 2 mins comes in you should ave made a bangin house style of that riff and a bangin bassline..that loop sounds as if it was wasted.
hey! i was wondering if you can like make the beat on in a speaker and plug via midi to another synth( like a korgms2000r) to bring an external synth out? 'cause i saw a jomox doing this and i was OMG! but i want this so bad.
esx-1 is a sampler and emx-1 more of a synth mod. i dont have a emx-1 but im sure theyre both pretty equal - just depends on what sound your trying to get .
One of the best Electribe SX video I have watched until now. All you did is using the original samples and I think only one or two patterns...good shit!! I have one of this machine and I´d like to add new samples, so the only way to do this is using a SM card?, isnt it?
It's primary function is as a "sampler" but it also has a "sequencer" so you can actually plot out music and craft songs.
It's not just for drums, either. A sampler can be used to make music with whatever you can save as a .wav file :) loops, different instruments, noises, ANYTHING.
i have a question...does this have an internal sound source (oscillators, so you can make your own beats without using external samples)? or that is just the EMX1?
i am looking forward on buying one of them, but i dont know wich one...
thanks...so what is the main diference between the blue and red one? just that the red one can sample external sounds? whilst the blue one has more synth posibilities?
Anyone out there! I'm having trouble uploading samples to my korg esx1. I dont he a smart media card yet, but im pretty sure theres a bit of internal memory i can save to, anyone keen on helpin me out?
buy a SM card and start sampling away --- i dont think u can sample into the EXS until u get one ... although u can reSAmple the stock samples already in there
Hey, i just got mine and even though it's used I'm so afraid to use it ... please tell me that smoking makes you better at it? because if not then i'm not quite as beat based in my approach as i hoped and i need to start doing drugs again lol...which i won't unless i make absolutely no progress at all in getting good at this shit.
does anyone know how to have longer looping samples going on while shorter samples are repeating underneath it? i still havent figured it out! is it possible? is it in front of me?
are the preloaded sounds for both the esx nd emx the same straight out of the box in other words when immediately starting out with just the box can i make the same beats with either product???? thanks
Well I got my ESX last week, and I agree with you. I reversed the arpeggiator too. It makes it easier to play accurate arpeggios. Check out my new esx demo sometime.
That was awesome.

nice work man.but i have one question how did you make the samples for this track ?
0pF4 2 years ago
for anyone that has a esx-1 can plug a guitar in it and use the effects and tubes like a tube amp then go strait to a recording device.

If you dont want the presets just initiaize everything, than sample and create your own stuff i.e. patterns, songs etc..
If you want to back your work up you will need atleast a 32MB smartmedia card.

Man , I got also the esx. how can i build a whole song??? from few patterns?
