To anyone fossicking through these comments - my revised cheap price for the BARE cajon has to be $299. It is an awesome instrument, and you will not be disappointed - and it is still very cheap.

Kia ora Murray, I finally have some spare money to buy one of your cajon... Are you still open to selling this at $249 + courier? What type of wood are you using? I'm going on Arts On Tour NZ in Nov with Voices of our Ancestors and really need a tight as bass sound. The one I brought just last year just doesn't cut it for performance. I would be into leaving your cards on our CD table if people are interested in buying a cajon from you too... Thanks Mahina

@17maorigirl - Hi Mahina - I haven't made a bag for them yet but it will have to happen sometime. This cajon is now retailing for $349 but I will do you one for wholesale price at $249 plus freight to wherever you are, to get another one out there and spread this great sound a bit further.
