  • nice set-up, im wanting the same on my s13 hatch.

  • Hey wassup bro do u sell the kits or Wats up just a question?

  • They dont even close all tha way!

  • @303alexandr they're not suppose to.

  • OMG where u get that i want one!!! message me XD

  • @leash998 what brand are those headlight conversions? and where can i find them?

  • reminds me of a lotus esprit

  • Win.

  • If you make custom/shorter arms, or move the peg on the light housing further forward you can get it so they close fully and only open to where you want them. So it avoids the Up>Close and the Down>Open effect. Unless you like it that way, then all power to you. :)

  • The shorter arm would not fix this. The motor runs in a 360 degree motion, if the arm was shorten it would get stuck when it would get close to 180. You would have to relocate the motor for a shorter arm to work this way.

  • @leash998 Sorry, I wasn't very clear. There are 2 arms per light. One is the connecting arm that goes between the light housing and the motor, and the other is the lever arm attached directly to the motor. I was referring to the lever arm.

If you make this lever arm shorter it makes the working circle smaller, which in tern moves the headlight housing less. You can then adjust the height of the housing via the connecting arm.

I have an MK1 MR2, their headlights function the same. :)

  • For the 240sx Hatch there is only one arm that controls the each headlight. One arm that attached to the motor and the headlight. The motor is mounted to the body of the car. I already tried swapping out the arms for a smaller one and the motor runs into a snag as it reaches 180. The motor would have to be relocated up more to allow the headlight to open and shut all the way.

The link in the description takes you to my old page where you can see photos of the arm.

  • @leash998 In your gallery, you have a pic with both arms on your hood.

The arm to modify is the one with the S bend. You cut the side of the S bend with the ball off, trim it 1/2" and weld it back together.

After you reassemble the light, that ball will sit 1/2" HIGHER than OEM when closed, your lights will be partly open. So you adjust them shut. When open the ball sits 1/2" LOWER than OEM. Lights will be 1" lower than OEM.

Moot point since you sold your 240, might help someone though.

  • @atsernov yea man thanks! I was just brain storming ideas and this helped!

  • Hey buddy i just got a 240sx but the head lights wont go down do you know how to fix that

  • @davybabyson get a new headlight/ turn signal switch. its the lever on the steering coloumn you use when turning headlights on and using turn signals. Thats how i fixed my old two40 with that problem

  • i cant believe u paid some1 100 bucks....its just a matter of loosening the bracket that turns the shaft and positioning that bracket to where it completes one lap and thinks (if u may) its in the closed position....thats how i did mines

  • FYI, if you bothered to read, I made them myself. Don't you think I know that? (Plus most headlights new are $50+ for a pair)

  • Does anyone not read the description? I have the link POSTED there for a small run down on how I did this. I also can't provide any more newer pictures as I have already sold this car and bought a Datsun Z.

  • datsun Z, upgrade status holla lol

  • nice....

  • where did you get these?

  • damnn thats dope. good lookin with the link!

  • If you cut the brown wire, your car is considered totaled.

  • No oem wires were cut.

  • wouldn't that add a bit of drag force to the car?
