  • how do you get good sounding p5s? all the ones i see on the internet are jacked up to be louder and the sound quality goes down. :(

  • love the sound of illinois central horn

  • Wow so nice :)

  • I might get one of these. Is it worth it?

  • lol great sound XD loved how it moved back the first time =P

  • i got to international air horns and a train horn under the hood of my 70 LTD now

  • thats the problem. people dont really understand the importance of train horns. and why we truely love them. people think we buy them just to scare people. in the mid 1900s people loved trains so much that they decided to make them multiple chimes. so they sound amazing.

  • Attach it your vehicle and go scare some ppl..

  • Yeah, except that I drive an RX7..kinda hard with that car..

  • @meyer8400 you can get them on there. i put some on a saturn sc1

  • Can you make a video of you doing a shve and a haircut with this p5?

  • Kahlenberg T-3 FTW!

  • I have two sets for sale if anyone is interested. Contact me.

  • How Much? I'm Looking for about 150$

  • Nice echo!!

  • thats crazy

  • Holy crap wow! Now thats an echo :D

  • where did you get that. and where is this mountain range.

  • Ebay, and these are the Coast Range above Morgan Hill, CA/ Watsonville.

  • Morgan Hill and Watsonville!! thats my neck of woods I live in Hollister I'm gonna have to take my horns up there I've been looking for a place with a good echo and that seems to have a good one!

  • did you have to rebuild them when you brought them?

  • No I didnt.

  • Wow!

  • kinda loud do you have a leslie R5ST?

  • No I dont.

  • ok thank you for that i was just going to ask about spare parts for them if you did but thats ok thank you again.

  • Where is this

  • Loma Prieta Mountain above Morgan Hill and Aptos.

  • looks like a spot I know up in Mendocino County....

  • Ebay.

  • That sounds incredible!

  • Now that was sweet :)

  • Sweet NS, IC and Canadian Pacific music. I wonder if this is one of the newer-series (post 1976) ones...

    Sure has a pretty sound.

  • It's definitely a post-'76 horn, as it actually has a quite ugly sound. The earlier ones are pretty, similar to but more brassy than an M5.

    Search "P5L" to hear a more proper pre-76 P5.

  • I want that on my truck! :)

  • sweet but m-5 is my favorite.

  • why do they hide their faces by pulling on the strings? Just curios, the horns are awsome!

  • Because it's loud

  • because they are terrorist and they are going to leave the whole USA deaf... paranoic youngpolotic

  • It sounds like it cuts off early.

  • Like the mechanical valve, gives it class.

  • That horn reminds me of the old Southern Railway engines.

  • That's because that's the same horn Southern used.

  • The horn with the highest note seems to be flat by a whole step on the scale. Other recordings I've heard have that horn a bit higher in pitch. I've personally heard a Nathan K5-LA on a train that had a similar issue.

  • I apologize, I commented on this when I didn't know much about the train horn. When I researched a bit, I found the two kinds of P5 horns. This is a third generation P5 and it is almost perfectly tuned.

  • That's the loudest P-5 recording I've heard since some of Ed K.'s recordings; I had to turn down the speakers a lot so that my ears won't hurt.

  • not bad for a new cast.

  • I want that on my truck!

  • It's really funny to blast a horn where a railroad used to run and when relatives are setting up for a shindig. Even better when they don't know you have the loco. horns.

  • You gotta try going in a parking garage sometime.

  • LOVE tHE ECHOE

  • We got Nathan P5's on our diesel locomotives here in Australia.

  • Would those include the Class 81, 82 and 90 locos?

  • Yes, definitely the 81's, not so sure about the others. I know the N class V/Line locomotives use a modified P5, tone wise.

  • few of the X class use it too..atleast they did

  • And don't forget the X and XR class too. And S302 has a set

  • There's a lot of Aussie locos that have this horn, come to think of it. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th G glass orders all have this horn. A couple of N's, X, XR's, 81's, etc, etc.

  • So do the 42, GM, S, and 43 Class's.

  • not bad. if you want loud find a Leslie RS-5T. in terms of decibels, it's the loudest at 150Db. P5 there is rated at 120Db

  • No, K5LA is 152db

  • sweet

  • Glad everyone likes it. More videos to come soon.

  • LOL!!! 5 stars on this one.

  • LOL!! Nice one! Sounds kinda like the Norfolk Southern High Hoods with the K5

  • Thanks. This is a new cast. It sort of sounds like NS, you're right.
