Thanks! It's interesting to see what that looks like on the fretboard. Holdsworth is notorious for his wide-spanning left hand. I like the "tap-and-strum" chording. Great work!
Thanks a lot man! I remember hearing this song for the first time, with the pub-like sounds of laughter in the background. It still conveys a certain sadness. Well played, an honest attempt to honor a fabulous musician!
lol Thank you very much! Tabs for this are in Allan's "Reaching for the uncommon chord". But I had to change some fingerings from the tabs and work with the standard notation because I guess my fingers are about 10 inches shorter than his ;)
I see. Anyway, I found a tab (not a flawless one, but it's good enough for me to detect the minor flaws and learn it myself). And I've so far learned the first four bars or so... AND IT'S RIDICULOUSLY HARD! Haha. So, kudos my friend, your playing is even more impressive now!
nice playing like the vids what size of neck is on your suhr saying like .780 or .800 thanks

Dude, where did you find music for this? or did you transcribe it? I'm really trying to transcribe this, but I'm having a lot of trouble.

I just used chorus and reverb if I remember right.

Hey there - well done, you made that look relatively easy but it's a damn hard tune to play smoothly.
Love your Suhr guitar too!

Wow, awesome, I'm deeply impressed. I have RFTUC as well, so I'll try my very best to come at least close to your interpretation...

May I ask if your SUhr has the 25.5 standard scale?
Any thoughts about making an 'ABove and Below' video?
Thanks and 5 more stars!

You did a great job on this tune!
The "Reaching for the uncommon chord"
is full of errors!
Only the part that's about ale is correct!
I enjoyed listening! very clean!
All the best!

Did you say that the book RFTUC is full of errors?... poor myself then, I get a copy of it.

great! thanks for showing the amazing chordal work of Allan H.
KingTabor 2 years ago
Thank you!! I'm a big fan of his chordal work, he really got some of the best voicings for guitar.

Excellent. Do another take and bring up your volume so that we can hear you better. Wish I had your span.

Thank you! Your right, the volume is really to low in this video. I might do it again in a while.
