  • remind me of Mastodon a bit,use two drummers,awesome.

  • seen em all!

  • Brutal

  • The cheering at the start sounds like "Grunt Birthday Party" from Halo Reach.

  • @birdmannan It's a commonly used sample.

  • @birdmannan also when a pinata breaks in Viva Pinata haha :P

  • sigh... dickfaces don't you get the point of Kylesa is that it can't be pinned down to one genre? Just STFU and enjoy, or don't enjoy it and go listen to something you can wrap your tiny brain around and stick in a little comfortable box for labeling like Justin Beiber.

  • how come i've never heard of them :/

    i fail in life

  • saw these guys at Sonisphere Knebworth, they fucking rocked.

  • fu manchu...

  • Why weren't you selling merch @ the Dallas show? You guys split immediately after. I wanted the CDs. When you coming to Dallas again?

  • want to see again!

  • @mrcolin I agree!

  • Cool video !

  • Kylesa live was absolutely mind blowing. I thought Torche was really boring though.

  • Holy shit, I just've heard Kylesa first time, and it's awesome!

  • what is it about baroness that people like?

  • @thomass10207 The music my friend. The music.

  • there's always room for another Sludge-Stoner-Psychedelic-Groove-Metal band! \m/

  • Kylesa + High On Fire = The most intense show ever performed.

  • Kylesa + Baroness + Cult of Luna + Fall of Efrafa = The most epic show ever! I'm sure I'll catch a lot of shit for this but I really can't stand Mastodon! In my opinion their vocals are fucking terrible and their music is simplistic in a terrible way. Very unlike Fall of Efrafa, who does a fantastic job of being simple, emotive, epic, and raw as fuck!

  • @1elahrairah666 im suprised nobody has given you shit for that, not so much that you dont care for mastodon but how you described them as being "simplistic" which is well...bullshit, and fall of efrafa...really your gonna compare them to mastodon i understand its your opinion but F.O.E is yet another band trying to be like neurosis/isis and doing a mediocre job at it

  • @1elahrairah666 Listen to Capillarian Crest. That is all.

  • idk why but i just dont like torche. whats some good songs by them?

  • Mastodon ? meh.

There needs to be a Deadbird / Rwake / Kylesa tour.

  • @seismicdeathgrip I agree esp. the Deadbird part.

  • Kylesa, Baroness, Black Tusk from Savannah. Mastodon, Torche(?) Atlanta. Georgia's fucking killin' it!!

  • @salvin1792 torche is from miami. but georgia seems to be the place to be for sludge metal.

  • @salvin1792 Toche= mostly Miami

  • saw these guys last night at the grog shop in cleveland. happy i went, discovered two bands i like :D

  • Black tusk+Black cobra+Kylesa+Baroness+High On Fire+Mastodon= bonerific stoner metal

  • Such a strangeand original video; Great song and band who deliver the goods as well.

  • I'd say Mastodon, Kylesa, Baroness, Torche, Black Tusk, and Howl, who am I missing?!

  • @Andrew11381138 Rwake

  • Finally! a video of good enough quality that you can actually listen to the band--I like them. I think the video is supposed to have about the same meaning as Pink Floyd's "TheWall" video. Brainwash the children--suck them into the evil.

  • I think the video is supposed to have about the same meaning as Pink Floyd's "TheWall" video. Brainwash the children--suck them into the evil.

  • a really good band that's up and coming is His Name Was Yesterday they just did a nation wide tour almost a year ago they are working on their fifth album check out the funneral song

  • YEAH, More puppet shows! Yeah!

  • I love the short clips of the band. They look so fucking epic.

  • The "hooraaaaaaaaay" sound in the beginning is in Viva Pinata when a Pinata gets broken open haha.

  • HOF,neurosis,mastodon,oris

  • who votes a thumb down?! morons.

  • what exactly is this video about?!

  • @woyay Your mom

  • Comment removed

  • Damn, saw them yesterday... This was their first song my head got blown off... They're awesome live!

  • can't wait to see them @ pukkelpop!

  • You can't quit me, baby?

  • The Kylesa/Converge UK Tour is soo bad-ass..a shame i cant go..

  • I've seen Mastodon and Baroness now, but yet to see Kylesa. They need to tour in the US again!!!!!!! Please!!!

  • @SenseiSprinkles aw cmon do u dream theater fans always hav to act so pretentious? jesus not all metal has to b as complex and technical as dream theater

  • @AllForRockNRoll I agree, I like Dream Theater and Trivium, but Kylesa kicks ass that's a great band and Dream Theater is so technical that it's boring me... seriously they got great songs, but 15 minutes a song... not to much for me...

  • @SenseiSprinkles Trivium? Really? I thought you said a real band.

  • @SenseiSprinkles Trivium is a sellout band who only got famous by becoming friends with Metallica, another prime example of a sellout band.

  • @SenseiSprinkles They could do better with the recording of their band.

  • See them with Shrinebuilder and Eyehategod Uhyeah

Crust Punk with Sludge, psychedelic Rock and 2 drummer....awesome

  • im gonna see them, this sunday!!!!!

    and the chariot next day!!!!!

    im dreaming

  • Dream Concert - The Sword, Torche / Floor, Kylesa, Baroness, High on Fire, Big Business

    Sludgefest '10

  • @JohnBosson Why the hell isn't there a SludgeFest? There should be.

  • @JohnBosson i agree, but i'd add a bit of Sleep and Om and maybe a bit of Mastodon.

  • @MorbidHumanity666 How about some Kvelertak?

  • @JohnBosson ...Um Eyehategod? Melvins?

  • 1:51 Love that riff man...heavy as fuuuuck.

  • @JohnBosson I've been to a festival that had most of those bands on the line up.

  • @JohnBosson I've seen/met a lot of those bands. That would, indeed, be quite the sludgefest.

  • I bought some buddha from their drummer a few days ago.

  • @thereddrums what kind of dipshit statement is that, its either yes or no.

  • cant make my mind up whether i like this or not.

  • Weedeater is the shit!!!! Just saw them live with Down and Voivod not too long ago. Never heard them until then, and I was very impressed.

  • SICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK

  • Mastodon + Kylesa + Baroness = greatest concert of all time

  • black tusk kylesa baroness best show of alltime, and i got to see in the homeland of sav georgia

  • you forgot torche

  • Blacktusk is very good as well..Deadbird not too bad as well..

  • Comment removed

  • I would add The Sword and The Melvins and you've hit it on the head

  • Are you kidding me? The Sword?

  • No, actually, I'm not. The Sword is a fucking incredible Black Sabbath-inspired doom/stoner metal band with some sick blues-based riffs.

  • I know what genre it is. It's not that incredible, it's just a huge ripoff. Rather listen to Goatsnake and/or Witch!

  • I don't know if I would call it a ripoff. I'm very much into the doom and stoner thing. Although they do use a very traditional rhythm, what sets these guys apart is the heavy tone and the way they structure their songs.

  • this guy knows where the good shits atttt

    i agreee

  • + high on fire

  • It's alright, although not TOO overwhelming imo, musically yeah..vocal wise? Not too much for me..

  • Vocally??? You must like it when singers over-sing!!! I love how minimalistic the vocals are! very Melvins but you're probably too young to know about them...

    Cheers

  • @righteousrafael Yeah you're right, I'm probably too young to know about The Melvins. Good to see you don't make stupid assumptions. I liked Sleep more but what do I know? I'm too young to know about them as well.

  • @tonytherockerboy, dude I would use my pay bonus too put a concert like that together. Maybe throw in The Sword, Isis and Neurosis...why not, and Gojira. I would be set after that. Haha.

  • @MuttonChopsMan You know what? Just for added amazingness, throw High on Fire in there somewhere.

  • @tonytherockerboy fucking orgazmik dude

  • @tonytherockerboy It would be the most BALLING SHIT EVAAAAA!!! Surely the cure for cancer.

  • @tonytherockerboy You forgot Black Tusk dude! then it would be :)

  • @tonytherockerboy had this concert place? or you just made wishlist ?

  • @tonytherockerboy

Mastodon + Kylesa + Intronaut = better than your concert

  • @gilamonsterism Mastodon, Tool, System of a Down, The Black Dahlia Murder, Between the Buried & Me, Deftones, Alice in Chains, Architects (UK), Behemoth, Suicide Silence, Skrillex, Circa Survive, Arsonists Get All the Girls, Gojira, Job for a Cowboy, Parkway Drive, and Kid Cudi to round things out would be an amazing weekend festival.

  • @DayMeeUn it would be...If someone sabatoged the tour buses of everyone but behemoth and mastodon so they each got a 5 hour set.

  • @tonytherockerboy

    you forgot Intronaut

  • delicious!!! 100% ultra-yummy!!!!

    props to laura...honestly!!

  • Aw the little blobs are adorable! First time listening to them, not really my cup of tea but not bad :)

  • Love Kylesa, and Laura kicks ass. I can't help but giggle at the stupid rumors that she and Brent from Mastodon hooked up. But think about what amazing babies they'd have. Very red-headed, glassy-eyed, musically gifted babies. XD

  • if they did... what's the problem anyway? x)

  • None whatsoever. I just think it's funny :P

  • Rwake, Kylesa, Minsk, Black Tusk, and Mastodon this winter nobullshit

  • Laura Pleasants is rather pleasant

  • nice clip

  • Two drummers makes for increased awesomeness.

  • Haha 2nd that dude

  • Kylesa, Torche and Baroness...best bands of the moment, without a doubt

  • Kylesa, Baroness and Intronaut

  • Agreed. Well, at least some of the best bands of the moment. The whole stoner rock/metal genre is exploding I find, and so many of the bands are out right amazing.

Mastodon, Bison BC, Barn Burner, Akimbo, etc etc etc

  • hell yeah

  • totaly fukkin agree man, thank fukk for these bands, check weedeater awesome.

  • @ShreddusMaximus1 Torche is way too upbeat. It sounds like pop-sludge, is that even makes sense.

  • @ShreddusMaximus1

    With Mastodon and Intronaut!

  • @ShreddusMaximus1 Zoroaster is pretty damn amazing as well

  • New album destroys!!!!

  • Cessate is the man

  • Rock Wave Festival 2009 Was GREAT YOU ASSHOLE!!!! Do Not Even Spell Their Names Bastard Cessate

  • Kylesa is one of the few bands that are bringing something new to the table of nowadays underground metal, even though they aren't just a "metal band". There's so much else in it.

    It's a truly kickass band.

  • This is the first time I've given this band a really good listen. I like what I'm hearing.

  • How do you pronounce "Kylesa"? I rarely use English and this is confusing me a bit.

  • saw an interview with laura pleasants (grrr) and she said Kyl-esa (k'eye'll-essa) if that makes sense i always that it was kyle-sa... oops

  • You can't tell very well in this video but the chick playing guitar is smokin'.

  • If you like these guys, check out Bison b.c.

  • first time listening to them now. bad ass.

  • listen to where the horizon unfolds, one of their best songs

  • fucking awesome video, absolutely no idea what it's about, but it's colourful yay

  • good band i saw them live in greece :)

  • kai pou na deis t exei n ginei sto athens rocking festival...testament + heaven&hell+gojira = fulaxteite

  • mpa den prokeitai na paw ala piga xtes schoolwave tis poutanas epai3e kai o sakis tolis apo rotting christ kai epai3an kai septic flesh!!!

  • me too, I almost went to Athens just for them :P

  • i went for slipknot mastodon and down but when i went to the festival i realized that torche and kylesa are really good bands too!

  • after seeing Mastodon I cannot stop listening to their albums :p Slipknot's performance also was really great, Down was toooooooooo boring for me

  • wow i loved all the bands and at down perfomance i enjoyed most the pitts cause there weren't that much people as on mastodon or slipknot xD

  • e nai eprepe na tous deis live gia na s aresoun...pfff ;p

  • Down was boring, and yet you listen to Slipknot?

    Both bands are fucking terrible.

  • Aww, come on man, Down is a great doom influenced band.

  • I can't stand anything Anselmo is a part of. Pantera were an over-hyped piece of trash, Superjoint Ritual were a joke, and Down is just mind-numbing boring to me.

  • nice then you don't know anything about metal

  • LOL! I know nothing about metal? Coming from the degenerate named after fuckin' StudioForce?

The fact alone that you consider Slipknot metal is laughable as hell, and Anselmo is the shit stain of the metal community.

Fuck outta here, you nancy boy piece of shit.

  • ok now stfu

  • LOLOL@YOU LISTENING TO SLIPKNOT, DRAGONFORCE AND DOWN, AND THINKING YOU KNOW SHIT ALL ABOUT METAL!

Man. How you even managed to find a band as brilliant as Kylesa is beyond me, but you sure as hell don't deserve to be a fan of them. Keep the real music for the intellectual people out there.

  • I understand that it's tough to be 14 years old and to have alot of internet rage. Calm down.

  • diz r intarnat. onli 14 yr oldz r on it

  • lol man i don't listen to dragonforce can't u see???dragonforceOFF!!!slipknot is metal and down too cause if down is not so isn't pantera tat it's no fucking true...and what do you listen to?motley crue?kiss?beatles?wtf?

  • Because the word "off" at the end of your name makes perfect sense....

Slipknot is "Nu-Metal". They are not legit metal by any means. Lol@You'd even try to argue that.

Pantera is complete shit. I never said they weren't metal, I said quite blatantly that everything Phil Anselmo touches is fucking horrible; especially Pantera (ps: R.I.P. Nathan Gale).

You could click a single link and look at my favorite'd videos and see for yourself. But chances are you're too self righteous and moronic.

  • sry man but only slipknot's first 2 albums were nu metal and i hate nu metal but slipknot is fucking good...as for pantera they were the metal music !

  • Slipknot is still Nu-Metal. The ONLY difference in their music today, from back then, is Corey's singing. Other than that they're a 9 piece Nu-Metal band who sound like a 3 piece.

Pantera the metal music? If you enjoy boring lack-luster riffs, easy as hell drums/bass, completely shit vocals, aided by the lyrics of an angry 11 year old who stole a beer from his fathers fridge; then sure, Pantera were rad.

They went from a shit Power Metal band, and evolved into a shit Brocore band.

  • just a question...did you think of the shit you wrote a lot?

  • Generally when a question like that is asked, it's suggesting that the other persons comment made no sense; which isn't the case with my last statement, so I really see no reason as to why you'd ask something so stupid.

Here's one for you though. Do you ever think of learning some proper grammar, or not listening to Nu-Metal bullshit?

Said it once and I'll say it again. Kylesa is far too good for your pre-teen ass. Go back to Disturbed and Slipknot.

  • first of all i am not from usa or uk to speak great english, that shows you are racist and i am pissed if slipknot is nu metal or not...i agree nu metal is pure shit but there are few exceptions at least for me and you listen to hip hop which is GTP ...and now i want to finish this conversation here,i won't talk with someone through youtube that thinks his music better cause i just don't give a shit

  • That doesn't prove I'm racist what so ever, not to mention in order to be racist, you have to hate another race (Black, Indian, Persian, Mexican, Asian etc etc), in which I do not. Nice try on trying to play a completely invalid card though.

Yeah, I listen to select hiphop (eg: Shad, or People Under The Stairs), because I enjoy GOOD music. If a band/singer is good and have talent, then I'll enjoy them. Bands like Slipknot lack talent and are a disgrace to music period. Open your damned eyes.

  • yeah for instance, mastodon. They kick ass. they aren't hard rock radio friendly and have true original tallent.

  • sry m8 but racism is not only hate another race it can be on woman or hate any specific group of people and ok you may like hip hop and i like slipknot that's all

  • rac·ism (rszm)

    n.

    1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

    2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

What you're describing it prejudice, and again, I've not shown any signs of either, especially since I have no idea what race/culture you are, nor to I give a shit.

People like you make me sick, trying to pull racism cards when nothing of the like even happened. Fuck your fallacy and pity breathing.

  • i see you are not mature enough to understand that talking to someone and swearing him troug youtube is sit...so fuck you man and bb cause i ain't gonna talk wit someone i don't fucking know and wit someone that acts like a fucking child

  • Mature? Acts like a child? And yet you try to call me a racist and fail to even understand the meaning of said term.

I absolutely love when people try to falsely justify themselves as being the "bigger person". As if lying to yourself is going to make any difference as the entire world can see these comments.

Your cries of pseudo-self righteousness are getting you no where. The sheer amount fallacy of that entire statement of yours is enough to almost pity you by.

    Logic. You have none.

  • omg still writing to me wtf? lol you act like a child cause mature people just don't give a fuck on youtube...and if you don't listen bands like metallica slayer megadeth or iron maiden you don't know wat's real music so bb it was the last thing i wrote

  • Yeah, because listening to utter crap like Metallica and Slayer defines how much a person knows about metal.

Your logic makes no sense what so ever, especially considering how many metal bands litter my favorites list, most you've most likely never heard of in your life; and you're attempting to preach to me that if I don't listen to the most popular bands in the world that I don't know metal?

Fuck outta here, you fallacy spewing chud.

  • Thats prejudice buddy. Racism is a certain type of prejudice, get your facts right.

And btw. Dragonforce suck, and so do slipknot and the whole nu-metal genre.
