@skylilly1 My father (legally adopted) was born in Brazil, in some city in the Amazon, he said the noise is so loud that one can barely sleep if not used to it. Personally I like the sounds, except I am terrified of every single animal, amphibian and insect and other things the Amazon has in it.

would have thought the Amazon would be noisier than this! My sister visited the rain forests/jungles of Indonesia (Borneo/Sumatra) and she said it was deafening! Crickets/frogs/snakes/loud bird song/even orangutang calls! I thought it would be really quiet at night (my sister and her ex-boyfriend) were camping in a tent all by themselves out in the middle of the jungle. He was a Captain in the British Reserve Army (Territorial Army) ....anyway they said it was very loud at night!
