My Uncle says that he listened to Casper for the first time in 35 years thanks to you. He remembers the flip side to that record being "In The Evening by The Moonlight". Do you think that you can put that up here too? Thanks!
I remember this!! Is it also the Peter Pan Records label that had a 45 with the Hokey Pokey?? I remember as a kid playing the 45 (whether or not the Peter Pan label) of the Hokey Pokey on a Motorola console (didn't know what this word meant at the time) stereo and noted the stronger bass sound.
got that right most kids killed them. This one had a bad skip I had to work at it to get it out
you can find these at thrift stores. I got this one when the caper movie was big. I also have the G.I.Joe secret of the mommies tomb. and some star wars book and records sets
cool do it as a reply and we can have a juke war and see who gets more ratings. I think I may have the Flintstones but I got to dig throw about 1000 45s
@TEMPmichaelhansen it's easy, move your fingernail back and forth (only twice!) over the scratch or dig that's causing the skip to re-enforce the groove, works like a charm and also makes the scratches much less audible. I think I discovered how to do this when I was like 8 years old and had more records than friends.. lol.
@TEMPmichaelhansen ?? using your fingernail in the groove doesn't envolve the needle.. but yeah, depending on how well balanced your turntable is, and if the anti-skating is set right,... sometimes I've even put things under 1 corner of the turntable to use gravity to make a skip not skip anymore, at least once so I can record it to a CD!
My mon has a lot of Peter Pan records but the only one with Casper is a short story called "Casper's Jungle Friends"... maybe I should post it.

My dad is singing on this recording - Ray Dorey. What a sweet treasure.

@doreystories Actually, Ray Dorey performed on the Peter Pan albums starting from 1965. This version of "Casper" was recorded in 1963.

I have the Jetsons theme on 45rpm in the jukebox. The flip side is a "remix" of TV Toons. I'll have to post it one day.
