  • Since the WWE has had "Cowboy" Bill Watts on a few of their DVDs, namely the WCW release, can they finally show some of the old Mid-South/UWF shows?

  • I believe that Watts' ex-wife owns the rights to the Mid-South/UWF video library and sells them on its own site.

  • @mrhollister09 No, because those are still owned by Nill Watts ex-wife. Their son Micah has a youtube page, universalwrestling, that advertizes the videos they put out with their tapes archives. They have a website that sells old Mid-South/UWF/Power Pro tapes & DVDs, including house shows.

  • I think that Wrestling of today has went downhill like no tomorrow......Back then they didnt care about the money all they cared about and there will be no one better than good ole JR...JIM ROSS!

  • this is when wrestling was the shit

  • Thats what I keep thinking...I only had access to UWF on tv for a few years when I was in Louisiana in 85-87, but UWF changed my whole outlook on wrestling!

  • I'm loving this UWF STUFF!

  • LOL...WARRIOR RING WORK WAS THE SAME AFTER 8 YEARS AFTER THIS MATCH. HIS SWINGS ARE STILL THE SAME! GOES TO SHOW HE DIDNT EVOLVE LIKE THE STINGER! lol

  • Something to notice - Sting was heel and it was working. It could be like that today, if done right it could be another Hollywood Hogan.

  • It was pretty good. Who's that Huge russian guy with the bladerunners??

Koko B. Ware with Hacksaw Jim Duggan??

  • Kortsia Korchenko was the Russian.

  • I love The Bladerunners with the massive power they displayed Sting and Rock/Jim Helwig were the best assembled tag team ever Korchenco looks so out of place he was retarded anyways Eddy Gilbert was the manager behind this entourage.

  • big wigs like vince get a nut off of people who fear them and bow down to them and when they find one who won't,they use their power and onfluence to blackball the"unruly one". i side with helwig on this. fuck vince and all these greedy rich bastards. WHEN IT'S YOUR TIME TO DIE ALL YOUR MONEY CAN'T KEEP YOU HERE ONE SECOND BEYOND YOUR TIME TO DIE!!!!!!

  • @blaknyte08 -Sting refused to kiss Vince McMahon's ass and never signed a WWWF /WWF/ WWE contract.Sting has sold more merchandise and arena ticketsa than all the WWE ass-kisser/corporate soldiedrs, including, McMicheals, Triple H, Undertaker, etc. Sting is one the all time greatest westlers in the business. He also a drug, alcohol and steroid free Christian minister.

  • everybody talks about how unruly and hard-to- work-with the warrior was. most are these so called fans who just parrot what they hear other people say. how can you know anything and you're not in the business? just shutup. i believe the warrior was a dude who just refused to be a kiss ass.

  • Essentially, that's exactly why people in the business didn't like Warrior (Jim Hellwig). First he didn't become a wrestler just to be a wrestler, he made his money and invested in other businesses, and he left wrestling while he was still on top. He maintained control over his life, and people don't like that. And that WWE dvd on him was just their revenge for Hellwig changing his name to Warrior so he wouldn't lose rights to his work in the WWE. He's a shrewd businessman.

  • And I don't believe a word of that dvd, stories from wrestlers who work for WWE, and some who were NEVER in the ring with him, and trying to talk about how bad in the ring he was.

  • couldnt u just c vince coaching his lackies on what 2 say? u would think a guy like vince would have better shit 2 do with his time. if he put a third of that enegy n2 his programs they wouldnt b the wothless toilet waste that they r.

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! THAT is EXACTLY the premise of what that dvd is made on. Do you think Triple H, someone who married into the business, is going to go against his daddy??? When has Brooklyn Brawler headlined a pay per view against Warrior? Chris Jericho, Edge, and Christian weren't even in WWE with him. Jim Ross was still in Mid-South/UWFand WCW. Warrior was gone before he arrived. McMahon tries to destroy anyone he can't control. Finally someone who sees the obvious.

  • hey let me ask,did they even have guys like hogan, undertaker, macho man, sid, rick rude, honky tonk man,sgt slaughter, etc. guys who have fought or teamed with warrior on that dvd?

  • @truaswad From what I've seen on YT clips (I never bought the DVD), No.

  • i guess we can rest our case!!!!!

  • Based on what ??

  • based on the fact that u dont hear from people who have been in the ring with or worked with warrior. u just have guys who r told by vince"say this..say that". so we can pretty much say that the dvd is biased and quite contrived 2 make hellwig look bad.

  • Agreed. But even if they had been in the ring with Warrior, and they're still with the WWE, how can one tell if they are legit in what they say? It's simply can't be a real shoot.

  • definitely agreed

  • @laggerg Your so rite Vince is a power hungry ahole.Hogan said he liked the warrior and i seen a lot of his matches even before he was the warrior.I never seen anything that made him look like he was so bad at wresting.A total smear campaign i think.

  • @Rjs3611 It is.

  • Man, Duggan used to bleed a lot too back then.

  • RARE FOOTAGE!!! COOL ONE! ;p

  • UWF had some awesome talent.

  • Was the warrior crazy back than too?

  • It's great the see the pre warrior days...Great historical value for us big warrior fans..Thank you for posting
