The recording quality is so bad it's hard to tell what notes are being played. In my high school days, which are many decades in the past, I could easily play G above triple C and aspired to move higher. The band arrangement of Handel's Halleleuia Chorus had E above triple C written into it. But really, anything beyond that elusive triple C sounds more like a squeak than a musical note, like someone pinching a child, so what's the use. These guys are good, and showing off. And why not!

@famguy2 there was not a triple g... i can say that with pretty much utmost certainty considering that very few trumpet players can even hit a triple c. these are all college kids and a triple G is a fifth above a triple c. id be surprised if there was even a double C in there

I used to be guilty of this, but then I injured myself and realized I was being a total retard playing high notes. The trumpet is a truly beautiful, delicate instrument. It does not want to be abused, and it let me know that by messing my lips up

@Beaverfishpwns Those bands uniforms are NOT thick. I march in this band I would know. The trumpets played that song within 3 minutes after a show that was 12 minutes long. We have pretty good trumpets in my opinion. Not the best, but still pretty good.

Oh, and don't try and tell me that it's hard to get those notes without squeaking because my band plays the same song very similar to that -and we're only a high school band by the way- and we can play it just fine without squeaking :/.

But whoever was playing the melody was was doing great.

1. You can stilll hit the high notes in cold weather especially since they're wearing their heavy band uniforms.

2. 8 minutes is long enough to recover from a show in my opinion >__>.
