  • reminds me of highschool lol, i used to write incubus lines on my walls. my parents loved that. lol

  • I like this album and all, but comparing Incubus to Tool is a reach.

  • hells ya

  • i wish i wish upon a star that incubus will come back to the mainstream coz now its all fuked up !!

  • I love all of the albums, but this one will always stand out.

  • The second time he says "before your son becomes a man" it seems like he made it sound like he could also be saying "throw yourself together, man". Accidental? This band is genius; extremely artistic AND they rock.

  • @kelslondon92 lol I think it's a coincidence.

I love the ending scratches and the intro to The Warmth after it. The transitions make the album sound like a mixtape, I love it!

  • can't listen to the intro of this song without thinking of "Aqueous transmission"

  • @alvarops95 lol i see what you mean. but this rift sounds way more sinister lol. i love it!

  • I've listened to a lot of music, but I have to say, this is the only band that has no song I dislike. They can't have a bad song.

  • you better clear the air before your son becomes a man. This is the only Incubus CD I ever bought but it is epic.

  • YA BETTER THINK FASTTT!!!!

  • reminds me my first incubus tape, i really like the lyrics of their song.

  • I want to see them in concert. But then again, who doesn't?

  • ok like i just started listening to incubus and i omfg its so addictive <3333 incubus!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Twiztedsmkr Congrats on finding GOOD music.

  • 1:33 - Anybody who can sing about Zombie's and make it sound so very excellent is beyond cool in my book..

  • Can't wait to see Incubus in concert tonight.

  • ah yes....240p...WHAT IS THIS 2010???

  • What's your favorite Incubus songs, anyone?

  • @HoodyBoy85 new skin

  • @HoodyBoy85 dig

  • @HoodyBoy85

All of them from Fungus-Light Grenades. As for If Not Now, When...some are forgettable -_-

  • @des9206 I will admit before seeing the songs from If Not Now, When sung live in concert, didn't care for them either...now they are on repeat.

  • @HoodyBoy85

I like the album, but once you listen to "Make Yourself", or even any of the other albums, it just makes you completely forget about "If Not Now, When?"

  • @des9206 Yeah bro, If Not Now, When, totally sucked. I liked Isadore on there, that's about it

  • @Sone1ne

I loved Thieves and Isadore, Defiance too. It's a good album, but sooo mediocre for an Incubus album, it's like come on guys you can come out with something wayy better than that. It makes Light Grenades look like S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

  • @HoodyBoy85 Privilege, Nowhere Fast, Stellar, Make Yourself, Just A Phase, Mexico, Warning, A Crow Left Of The Murder, A Kiss To Send Us Off.

  • All together this was probably their best album, all of their other albums I only like a couple of songs on.

  • @DCtheNINJA999 morning view

  • Man, the things the Einziger has done on guitar - tempos, rhythms, they're just soooo damn good! It's never just simple, it's always something new! :D

  • Incubus is the only good band thats out right now besides Mettalica but their getting older already.

  • @isaiahduran2011 ... "but their getting older already." Dooooshie- Metallica has been around since the early 80's!!! they're not just "getting older" they are Dust Fart DINOSAURS right NOW & have been pretty much completely irrelevant musically for at least the past 10 years- Peace Out my Nigga~

  • @photofake I'm pretty sure "Dust Fart Dinosaurs" don't make music that lasts throughout the ages AND still make songs that are pure gold. I beleive the correct term for Metallica is "Awesome Never-Ending Eargasmic Music". Go listen to Nicki Minaj.

  • Respond to this video... there is a whole world out there friend. incubus is not the only good band out right now, just put the radio down

  • before they are amazing unlike now...!!

  • This is one of the few bands that i listen to all year round, i live in Ma and the weather and moods change often throughout the year, as does everyones music selection, however, I've found that Incubus is one of the few that stick around. They're just always fitting and perfect. Long live Incubus

  • try not to listen to this song too much so i never get tired of it. but i think really i could listen 129875293045 times a day and still want to hear it again... and again, etc.

  • This song...

    is pure amazing-ness.<3

  • This band is so...I can't even describe how much this band means to me. I listen to their music and, literally, all my stress flows right out and it's like I can hear them right there in front of me. They're genius.

  • one of their best. they're scientists. tool is another band that uses mathematics. radiohead does it too. same with a little avant-garde band called the locust. im not comparing any of their styles in any way, im just saying, what they're doing is mathematically based seriously. i know i sound crazy, but i know some people will know what im getting at

  • @crildate i sure as hell don't.. You don't do algebra to make a good song, at least I sure don't, and I don't know how there would be a point..

  • @GroundPhobia well you're right about one thing. You don't do algebra to make a good song.....it's more of a type of applied mathematics a.ka. the world

  • @crildate I always try to explain that to people and can't quite articulate it. I smell what you're cooking though.

  • @crildate

TOOL and Radiohead are awesome. I don't like Incubus after this album though. They were my favorite band until Morning View came out and I never bought another album.

  • @DoctorBlissphd nobody cares

  • @DoctorBlissphd mmm i think a crow left of the murder was my last one. i liked morning view though. and don't be mean BiGGgraff100, the world has enough shit to deal with already

  • @crildate evry thing is mathematically based when break it down

  • @ElBoogieAmworld yeah i'm not saying they write music with equations, but if you graph frequency sequences, the patterns resolve themselves and you can actually write equations for the lines. it's really crazy shit. But i agree, everything is mathematically based. we could break everything down if you want, but if it's beautiful who really cares to destroy it with over analyzation, and break it down to knees and elbows. no way.

  • @crildate I'm really curious to hear more of what you're getting at. I'm not even going to guess, you're going to explain?

  • @loriannedc if you map out the frequency of when notes are hit with the x axis, and mark what notes were hit on the y axis by using middle c as the zero point, you can graph music. I'm still looking into this, but this band makes really (pretty pictures)hahaha. it's a part of my thesis for sculpture. I make huge meshed grids in the x and y dimensions and illustrate music on a rotating drum. Still trying to orchestrate how the z axis would work

  • @crildate it gets really complicated with the drums, because you need to section off each sound as a note, and that can be done with a few pitch matches on a keyboard with each drum/cymbal. guitar chords look so good though. and best of all, the colors of each acrylic polymer gel line are completely arbitrary!

  • @crildate i can't wait to not read all the arguments that are going to come out of this

  • @crildate I'll save some now, the fact that I used those bands are references are only because they also make aesthetic sense to me when their music is graphed. tool actually has a song using the fibonacci sequence, and that's what inspired me to look into this concept. all im saying is that some bands end up having traditional equations in the graphs. whether or not thats coincidental, is my question.

  • @crildate crazy as fuck but pretty dam sweet hahaha

  • @crildate what are u talking about how the hell do they use mathematics

  • killer song.

  • ♥ this one! :)

  • three persons dont think in the consequences :p

  • If you like Incubus go to A CULT LIKE VULTURE YOUTUBE CHANNEL

  • I got an "A" for writing what I believe this song means in a college class someone else was taking~ great song!

  • Blink and you miss...keep one eye open at all times!

  • Comment removed

  • miss this stuff, the good incubus are gone now :( i realy dont like the newer them.

This will always be their best period

  • @metalheadjosh16 a lot of people say this, but I tend to disagree. I agree with the fact that I appreciate Make Yourself (and Morning View) the most but every Incubus album is definitely unique intentionally. Fungus Amongus to Light Grenades, each album is made with its own style. Incubus is not gone, but Make Yourself is, and for that matter Fungus and every other album is. I'm excited to hear their new album

  • @TooNightIs but you can't deny, even to this day, make yourself and morning view are the most cutting edge sounding albums from incubus. Especially make yourself, there was nothing like it before, but everything like it after.

  • good tune man

  • oooo i love this tune!!!

  • ah! hearing this takes me back...when broadband wasnt really around..everyone was still on AOL version 4.0 or something..and my parents were yelling at me for the hundreds of Incubus pictures i had saved to their computer haha.

Love Incubus <33 and yes..this song is way under-rated.

  • an oath to all terrorists

  • @sillou2002 xD

  • Anybody who doesn't like this song IS stranger than a gang of drunken mimes.

  • this song is waaay underrated. great melody.

  • If you can't relate to this music, I can't relate to you. Incubus has always and will always rule!

  • @flowrpowrlovechild well said

  • @returnofbhavar99 Cool! Thanks!

  • wow. holy shit. i just traveled through time. to a better place. when i was young :C

  • The greatest song ever!!!

  • this whole album is nothing short of listenable

  • my favorite song

  • First time hearing this. Love it!!

  • in my opinion this is their best album

  • @jammon896

childhood memories, my friend. childhood memories.

  • mmmm tasty music.

  • @maryganjatoke311

Well it's not like he lost it in a closet or anything like that; if you're right (which I dunno, since I'm kinda duelling in the past of Incubus [rocking out to SCIENCE =P]

Don't "too bad", dudett (dudett, right? :o), just pray he'll get it right again someday (i mean, maybe for me he's still awesome, but for you not; idc :P)

  • Love every song they have made. Can't say that about many bands.

  • do they ever play this song live?

  • not that I've ever seen...they always play their radio played songs and not a lot of the really good stuff!!

  • i saw them in st. louis this summer and the played this for sure

  • type consequence live, maybe there is a version, i haven't looked

  • Mike is a good back up singer

  • @TheBlackmetalhead Good? He's an excellent back up singer. Check out Wish You Were Here and listen to the chorus, it's stunningly amazing.

  • Dude i know there my favorite band

  • Mine too. I think i added you as a friend. I love Incubus. New album in 2010. They are in the studio right now writing, producing and recording new material for a studio album. I can't wait.

  • Holy Shit! Didn't know that. very cool

  • @Lifeusedtobegood you sure? not doubting, you, just asking. if so, AMAZING.

  • Dude this song reminds me of my ex lol

  • Eargasm

  • here's a fact outta my brain. Best albums , SCIENCE and Fungus Amongus (enjoy incubus included) ,,,then there's this one, and the morning view is 'pretty' , after that i find it difficult to appreciate, i got too used to Alex's brutal bass skills...

  • This song still gives me goose bumps!!!!

  • Hard rock combined with grunge guitars and hip hop rhythms makes a PERFECT SOUND. This song is amazing.

  • They sure don't make music like they used too.

  • Sure they do. You just have to look for it.

  • i remeber the first time i heard the pre chorus lol what an ear orgasim

  • ncely put

  • @TheBlackmetalhead eargasm

  • @TheBlackmetalhead Eargasm*

  • @TheBlackmetalhead So an eargasm. Good stuff

  • @TheBlackmetalhead Eargasm :-)

  • damn.. why is this music so good!?!? i cant stop listening to incubus, their lyrics and beats are flawless!

  • im with ya on that one...i'm like addicted to incubus

  • one of my favorite INCUBUS songs ever. it strikes a chord in me, and it reminds me of my awful ex. you'd better not blink, for conseqence is a bigger word than you think. its bigger than you or me.

  • but its sad , that they released stellar AND pardon me ...which are wuite similar songs ....they so many more unique ones that hav to be shown to the world , you know ;)

  • I can listen to this over and over and not get tired of it....but, that goes for all of their songs!

  • so im a pretty recent incubus fan, love all of make yourself. As far as their other albums which should i check out if i like this one? Thanks to anyone who helps =)

  • morning view is a great album, light grenades(only dig, love hurts, and anna molly are good). and crow left of the murder has 5 or 6 great songs.

    hope this helps :)

  • anything off of SCIENCE, it was their best album

  • Their best album was definatly Morning View

  • its great, but its a bit repetative, i love MV but Science is what i grew up on

  • THIS WAS THE BEST ALBUM PERIOD.

  • HELL YES IT WAS. INCUBUS 1999 FOREVER.

  • I have to agree. Not a single mediocre track on this CD.

  • agreed.

  • uh.....is awesome this album.MAKE YOURSELF

  • haha thats great

  • haha prolly ben kenny's stupid ass

  • hold on, science is the shit in my opinion

make your self really turned me on to incubus but scienve is my fav by far. redefine, idiot box, glass, jnust a few great songs

p.s. im a lil drunk sorry for the spelluing

  • sing this to the government and their retarded 'stimulus' packages

  • okay - first, this song was my favorite song of my when if first came out. second, contains one of B's classic lyric lines about something that is "stranger than a gang of drunken mimes"! think about that one for a sec. and third, absolutely, they still play some of these live - although, unfortunately, they don't do this one near enough! Fourth, just saw them in new york - freaking amazing night. closed with the prince song. Best live sing-a-long band ever!!

  • Yeah, they're definantly still around. They just performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon two nights ago.

  • are you kidding me games227? of course they're still alive!! they just released a greatest hits album, now they are on tour, and in 2010 they are planning on releasing a whole new album!! they're just getting started!!

  • ooh thanks

  • good song but is this band still alive ???

  • SRSLY?!?! Incubus is a legend that will never come to a hault. The just released a new album about a month ago!

  • what new album?

  • Search "Monuments and Melodies" It's a 2-disc album, first one is greatest hits, second one is never-released-before songs and stuff.

  • This song is one of a few which I could think of that makes me have complete and total, physical goosebumps! I am in awe of it, each and every time I listen to it. Do yourself a favor and buy this album; Make Yourself, Incubus!!

  • I had this cd and it was awesome until my sister broke it, argh! But all the songs on it were awesome, and I could listen to it all day. Especially this song.

  • i love the beggening to the song!!!

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM

  • i love old ass incubus...my opinion it was the best.

  • this is still one of my faves ever. this song is usually forgoten. but we lot realize how fucking great it is dont we guys?

    yeah...

  • Yeah

  • I love how pissed off brandons lyrics are sometimes... he really knows how to hint that somebody is letting him down

  • Of course, IMO every song on Make Yourself is superior to any of their new songs off Monuments and Melodies and Light Grenades... not that their new stuff is bad. It's just Make Yourself was amazing. But Pendulous Threads and Rogues are really good songs though.

  • agreed...incubus will always be amazing but they will never be able to top make yourself as an album

  • definitely yeah

  • @returnofbhavar99 yes it is forgotten... but still love it :)

  • @returnofbhavar99 absofuckinglutely!

  • blink and youlle miss a beat.... this shis is awesome , this is the cd that drug me into the land of incubus, best album i thimk , even though i like them all

  • Agreed. The lyrics were the best, as well.

  • "stranger than a gang of drunken mimes"..."this sht hasnt even begun to hit the fan" <--best quotes!!

  • the best song from incubus....

  • not incubusy by s.c.i.e.n.c.e standards. i gotta say i like this album less than science, but this dudes voice is beyond amazing. i miss the 15 minute songs talking about leprechauns biting nuts off though :\

  • I got bored one day and copied the medical report in that into notepad. I think i have it saved somewhere... Calgone, right?

  • Comment removed

  • I luv this song its so incubusy. The shit hasent even begun to HIT THE FAN..................
