That along with some new clothes and you've got a completely different looking individual. Now all that people have to go on is the wanted poster, and those usually only sort of resemble the person. Point is, he could be standing right beside his own wanted poster and people may not even notice.

@ConspiracyJim You're almost right: they found the guy (ex-cop Ronald Glenn West), but he was in prison, and he's since been given multiple life terms for two other murders. They never bothered to charge him; he's not going anywhere.

@Ace303232 Since DNA came out - the number of people being put to death for crimes they did not commit is nil, since usually a death sentence involves DNA evidence and if not - then a ton of other evidence is needed. Way too many get life in prison now b/c of the CSI jury mentality.

Update: In 1998, Gordon passed away without ever learning who killed his wife. However, in 1999, a suspect was named. Ronald Glenn West, a former cop, is also suspected in a double murder in 1970. As of 1999, he was in prison for a string of robberies. In 2001, he confessed to the 1970 murders and is serving two life terms. He has not been charged in neither Jackie nor Brian's murders.

@cyphersadoka People may have seen the killer and didn't even know it. His most recognizable feature is his hair, which can be changed within a couple of hours with some scissors and hair dye. That along with some new clothes and you've got a completely different looking individual. Now all that people have to go on is the wanted poster, and those usually only sort of resemble the person. Point is, he could be standing right beside his own wanted poster and people may not even notice.

There is a suspect: Ronald Glenn West. He was responsible for killing in the 70s near the Blind River area, he wasn't caught until the late 90s, and the circumstantial evidence against him is overwhelming in this case. Not to mention, he has the same eyes as the composite...
