@DavidPorter89 yup , ok i used a canon powershot A590. The magnification on the scope wasa 3x, with a lot of fumbling around you line up the objective lense of the camera to the eyepiece of the NVD device, set the camera to record and do the best you can by setting the eyepiece focus and objective focus on the night vision (just use your eyes for that part then fine tweak it ) I just help the two up with 2 hands , and tried to keep in frame, and just ...film shit ya know
also using the zoom function on the camera will allow higher magnification w/ minimal distortion, the lp/mm on this scope was somewhere in the 28-32lp/mm range , for perscective the best gen 3's give you 70+lp/mm
@Fireball69 i found one on ebay and its blue what gen is that and what would you rate yours 1-10 10 being perfect like day time with no issues. how dose it do with no moon
@jgmtiger well its a generation 1 device, meaning it needs some ambient light, no moon in a clearing you can expect 100yards of definition, no moon in the woods...you cant see much at all, an IR source is needed, i would rate this device a 4 out of 10. IT works good in full moonlight or urban semi-lit areas, however its like the bottom of the barrel as far as NVD goes
@Calebepm No IR, just moonlight, i turn on the IR momentarly, but it really makes no difference , and by momentarly , like 4 seconds of this video literally, so most of what your seeing is moonlight and streetlamps from75, 200, and 300 yards away in the shots when im panning toward the two story building , white car, white fence..the wooded area and shed are just your moonlight gain.
could u see well in pitch black like in the woods like in this video?

@wannabegunny if the IR lightsource was on yes..but only for maybe 25 meters, w/o IR lightsource deep forests w/o moonlight you cant see very far
