The only thing you're right about is that Solid is actually the genetically inferior clone and liquid the superior clone.
But that has shit to do with the code-names, bucko. Go and play MGS2 and MGS4 again, you'll see.
Besides that, the code-names are references: Solid = Strong, persistent. Liquid = Agile, seaping through the holes
