when i was boxing you used to get guys come into the gym with no experience and say, im the best, ill be the next champ, coach me. There preparation usually was 10 mins of skipping a day and doing benchpress. One of them registered for the state titles with no fights, put down my coach as his trainer (he was not). On the night of the fight he put his headgear on backwards (amateurs wear headgear) and had some boxer on the night fill in as corner. He lasted about a min into the first round
