where did you find the elven helmet? i am in lv. 100 in enchanting, have all perks, and i have 4 grand soul gems with 4 grand souls. but, i dont have the enchantment "fortify destruction".. and i cant find an item with that enchantment active.. plz help, if you or someone have time to answer :)
@deathjoker666 Well after playing for a long time as a mage I really wanted to use them all. I'd say Conjuration and Illusion were the least used. While I used Conjuration a lot I didn't have a need to conserve magicka because you didn't have to cast it a lot. Destruction and Restoration are needed. Alteration is needed if you want to use Mage Armor instead of Heavy/Light Armor. I like Mage Armor just because I wanted to play a mage. But if you don't want Mage Armor, Alteration isn't that great.
@Helltech is it possible to have magicka regenerate at 100% as a whole instead of just for destruction? i mean i don't really want to be just a destruction type of mage where as i can use all spells.
@Lapointful Find an item that hast he destruction enchantment, it can be 1 percent, 2 percent, 20 percent, doesn't matter. Disenchant it. You now have the base enchantment. Then get your enchanting to 100. Get 1 point in Corpus Enchanter, and 5 points into Enchanter in the enchanting tree. Then using a grand soul enchant a helm, neck, ring, or chest piece with destruction enchant.
@MirrorsEdge007 Mana has been around in fictional writing since way before video games and was used as a universal term for the natural resource that wizards use to channel magic.
One of the best ways to get up enchanting and smithing at the same time make iron daggers an enchant them after i had all tgw jems took me 30 mins to get from 42 to 100
@dpAmdionqb If you're at 100 it should most definitely be at 25 percent. Not sure the cause but just drink an Enchanting potion to push it up a little more.
Does this still work as of the new patch? Because I am level 80 and it says destruction is at 20%, and I only have 4/5 of the first perk, and 20% of 20 is only four. So if I got the next perk, it says that enchantments do 20% more. Will taking a potion help?
i have all the perks u have im level 80 but it only says 15% less to cast rather then 20...do i have to be level 100 or something for that other percent and if so how do u suggest i get to level 100 quickly because there are so many methods..please reply cuz its really pissing me off. thanks
@Ahalem1 Well I got to 100 a couple days after the game came out so I doubt my method is the best, and to be honest I haven't even looked up other ways to do it. I just went to the College of Winterhold. Waited till 1am when everyone was sleeping. Went to the wing with the vendors. Bought all the lesser and petty gems they had, waited 2 days. Did that till I had about 100 gems (you wont need that much since you're at 80). Then just ran around for 20 minutes soul trapping foxes and stuff.
Nice vid Helltech. You are worth to be given a little tip. :P
When you are a vampire level 1 till 3 and you have the Necromage perk (which will grand spells and armor enchantments by 25% to the undead, which are you now) you can bump up your destruction percent to 33%. That means you can save up one enchantment as the total of 99% will be rounded up so it seems, because after testing: my Vamp could cast spells for no magicka cost at all.
@Helltech why am I getting 18% on my dragon plate helment i have everything u described in the video and have done it with my daedric armor and it word but won't work with the dragon helment.
couldnt u just have 25% and 15% less cost magicka on 2 pieces of armour the other 2 pieces magick regnerates 60% faster and like another 60%faster magicka regenerate AGAIN one 1 piece of jewllery and like 50 more magika for a ring?
Does anyone know if there's an item in the game that allows you to enchant things stronger? for example like a set of armor that reads "enchanting is 12% more powerful" or something like that.
@Helltech sad day D: but oh well i didn't understand my problem till i watched this vid so THX! i made some new deadric armor and now can cast spells for 0 magicka
@tosh541 Use the spell Soul Trap on a creature before it dies. Have an empty Soul Gem in your inventory to capture its soul. If you want Grand Souls I recommend killing Mammoths.
@iluvpichu As with all loot in this game, its just random. You can look at the spellcasting vendors though, mainly the one in college of winterhold and see if they have anything.
@afterbangz1 Just go to the college of winterhold talk to the 5 or 6 vendors there. I wait till like 1 am so that they are all sleeping then they are all near each other. Wake them up, buy their soul gems. Wait two days, rinse and repeat for as many as you need.
somone please hellllp i have all nesecary things in this vid but it says destruction cost 15 less -.- its so frustrating does anyone know what i did wrong
@TheMinuteRaid Nothing, they are the same. I use them because I use Mage Armor (Alteration Perk), which gives a ton of Armor Rating. So yeah, thats the only time its good to use them is if you use Mage Armor.
@MrMasterNorris Sounds like you're not at 100 Enchanting to me. but it could be because you aren't using a Grand Soul, you don't have 5 point in Enchanter, or you don't have Corpus Enchanter.
@DrAlexander1174 Yes, look at the description. You can easily do 2. Using Alchemy (and if you have alot of resources and time on your hands) you can do 3-4 schools
@AngryGaper Lots of time spent on Alchemy. You use Alchemy to make (and use) and enchanter potion. Then using that you make gear that makes your Alchemy stronger. Then you wear that new gear to make a BETTER enchanting potion to make your enchanting stronger, and use that to make an even better alchemy set.. rinse and repeat till you can make alchemy potions that boost your enchanting up massively.
@DrAlexander1174 Yes you can get more than one school to cost 0 magika, I managed to get both destruction and restoration to cost 0, but you should get the 2 enchantment perk.
Learn the perk put two enchantments on something and you could max out two schools. Were you wearing items to boost your alchemy when you made the potion to boost your enchanting? Or all the alchemy perks, or falmer helmet trick? I haven't sat down and done the math, but it seems like you should be able to get pretty close to free magic across the board if you are willing to change amulets and rings for different spells. Name them something similar in enchanting so they clump in the list.
@XSafire No it still works. 8 is the base, it wont say 25 percent till you ready the new enchanted item for finalization. Watch my video close you will see it says 8 percent till right before I enchant it.
@Silverormen No it costs none what so ever. 100 percent reduction. 25+25+25+25. I played through the entire game on master and never once lost magicka spamming the highest magicka costing spell there is.
@AnonymousTamponThief Mana is a term for how much energy you have left to cast spells its like stamina but for spells idk if you are being sarcastic but here is ur answer
@TheCheckitout22 Lol I know right? Kids these days. Can't appreciate where things come from. Even Dungeons and Dragons uses mana. But I guess thats an MMO too. :P Oh and those fantasy books from the 70s and 80s, those are mmos. HAHA.
@BurlyTheNord Any true fantasy fan would at least know where the word came from. It was use in Niven's writings long before any videos games used it, and thats were the games got it from. I know of many sources that use the word mana. Actually you hear mana and mana points in many games. Even some Final Fantasy games use mana points, (most use magic points and mist points though). I use the term and have never played an MMO, so you have no idea what you are talking about at all.
@BadAssPlayer69 go to college of winterhold speak to Tolfdir buy whatever robes hes got to do with fortify alteration, theyll probz be expensive though
@KillasStayFly Yeah man, that's just bad luck. You HAVE to have the enchantment that is just the school alone. I know it sucks, but you'll find it. The "Hooded Thalmor Robes", and "Thalmor Robes" both have fortify destruction on them and are disenchantable. So look for those. If you go to the Thalmor base you can find some.
@addeyyry That was from the alchemy potion I drank. That's how the alchemy potion works, it just ups your enchanting skill. You know whats funny though, I actually didn't know that's how it worked till I made this video, haha. But yeah when it says "Fortify Enchanting 15%" or what ever, what it actually does is increase your skill level, and that's how it works! Neat, right?
For some reason all my "Fortify (Magicka Skill)" enchantments seem to be stuck at 8%. I have 100 enchanting skill, 5/5 of the first perk, the double effect perk, and the Insightful and Corpus Enchanter perks. I'm almost positive I'm using grand souls, so does anybody know what the problem might be?
@xcountryben 8 percent is the base, it will go up when you look at the final product right before you enchant it. If you watch my video you can see this. Pause the video at 1:14 and you can see its 8 percent.
@MrMarkodevil Not really, like I've said its all random. The only advice I can give is, you're not looking for imminent ONLY are you? It doesn't matter what kind of destruction enchantment you find. You just need the base. As long as if its fortify destruction you're good to go. Even if it was 1 percent less (not that that's out there).
@MrMarkodevil Ok I found out that Hooded Thalmor Robes and Thalmor Robes are the easiest way to get the destruction enchantment. So that should help A LOT.
So I do this and my nightingale blade will never lose it's charge... Hot damn, it's a good thing I saw this before I started enchanting my good stuff.
@farbiothedragonborn Lightning Storm, after getting 100 destruction you talk to Faralda and she will give a quest. After finishing that quest you can buy it from her.
@xzymarkusyzx1 You can't disenchant the archmages robes, thus you can never get that enchantment to use for enchanting. The only way to use that enchantment would be the wear those robes, and I already explained why that isn't a good idea.
@smartypants0425 Yeah but unfortuanatly it doesn't get the cost down enough only 15 percent. So if you wear 3 other peices at 25 percent, and then that at 15, it won't be 100 percent. :(
I didn't read all of that stuff in the description, but does your enchantment skill have to be really high to disenchant a Novice Robes of Destruction?
Question for anyone: if I enchant a piece of armour, then sometime later get 100 enchant so I can get 2 enchants on a piece, would I be able to enchant that armour for the second time?
@Helltech your gay, ok now that i have your attention, nice vid and you can make those potions to make enchanting more powerful and then enchant gear with alchemy bonuses and make more powerful enchantion potions and do this forever by repeating steps and then make gear with like millions of damage points. :) I haven't as i think that its unfair to the game but im gonna get 100 enchanting tomorrow so i can have 0% cost on spells :)
@TheErictodd Yeah, I'm aware, tried to myself and doesn't seem worth the time it takes to do. There was a couple peple who already had a conversation about it in my comments way back when I posted this video two months ago. But hey if you got the time and patience its all worth it.
@Randybalma Make sure you're using a Grand Soul, not just a Grand Soul Gem. Usually when its 23 percent its because you're not at 100 Enchanting, but you said every perk unlocked so that isn't it.
@malascar Not sure what you are askng, the Archmage's Robes are a unique item. You can't disenchant them. They only have 15 percent less to cast so they don't really help you too much when you need 25 percent less to cast on each peice.
@Stormhawk7777 Thats becuase of the potion I used. You will notice at the beginning of the video its 100, and 115 after the potion was used. Thats how the enchanting potion works.
where did you find the elven helmet? i am in lv. 100 in enchanting, have all perks, and i have 4 grand soul gems with 4 grand souls. but, i dont have the enchantment "fortify destruction".. and i cant find an item with that enchantment active.. plz help, if you or someone have time to answer :)

Where do I get the Fortify Alteration?
BadAssPlayer69 1 month ago
@BadAssPlayer69 go to college of winterhold speak to Tolfdir buy whatever robes hes got to do with fortify alteration, theyll probz be expensive though
taylorman1227 1 month ago
@taylorman1227 Hey great tip, I didn't know he sold them.
Helltech 1 month ago
@KillasStayFly Yeah man, that's just bad luck. You HAVE to have the enchantment that is just the school alone. I know it sucks, but you'll find it. The "Hooded Thalmor Robes", and "Thalmor Robes" both have fortify destruction on them and are disenchantable. So look for those. If you go to the Thalmor base you can find some.

How can he have 115 in enchanting he has that at theend of the video
addeyyry 1 month ago
@addeyyry That was from the alchemy potion I drank. That's how the alchemy potion works, it just ups your enchanting skill. You know whats funny though, I actually didn't know that's how it worked till I made this video, haha. But yeah when it says "Fortify Enchanting 15%" or what ever, what it actually does is increase your skill level, and that's how it works! Neat, right?

I need 5 more perks to unlock the perks n im level 90 enchanting and level 48 wood elf fml
CrumpetsNteaHA 1 month ago
For some reason all my "Fortify (Magicka Skill)" enchantments seem to be stuck at 8%. I have 100 enchanting skill, 5/5 of the first perk, the double effect perk, and the Insightful and Corpus Enchanter perks. I'm almost positive I'm using grand souls, so does anybody know what the problem might be?
xcountryben 1 month ago
@xcountryben 8 percent is the base, it will go up when you look at the final product right before you enchant it. If you watch my video you can see this. Pause the video at 1:14 and you can see its 8 percent.
Helltech 1 month ago
@Helltech i have look for 2 week for something with iminent destruction and im level 76 know any places they might be?
MrMarkodevil 1 month ago
@MrMarkodevil Not really, like I've said its all random. The only advice I can give is, you're not looking for imminent ONLY are you? It doesn't matter what kind of destruction enchantment you find. You just need the base. As long as if its fortify destruction you're good to go. Even if it was 1 percent less (not that that's out there).
Helltech 1 month ago
@MrMarkodevil Ok I found out that Hooded Thalmor Robes and Thalmor Robes are the easiest way to get the destruction enchantment. So that should help A LOT.
Helltech 1 month ago
where do i get the fortify destruction

can you unlearn an enchantment?
TheGodzStarz 1 month ago
@TheGodzStarz There might be a way and I could look into it for you, but why would you want to?

@Helltech does is also work on xbox 360?

@zeezoutje Yes it work on Xbox and PS3, it isn't a cheat or a glitch its part of the game.

farbiothedragonborn 1 month ago
@farbiothedragonborn Lightning Storm, after getting 100 destruction you talk to Faralda and she will give a quest. After finishing that quest you can buy it from her.
Helltech 1 month ago
Dual enchant 2 with the 15 % wow...
xzymarkusyzx1 1 month ago
@xzymarkusyzx1 You can't disenchant the archmages robes, thus you can never get that enchantment to use for enchanting. The only way to use that enchantment would be the wear those robes, and I already explained why that isn't a good idea.
Helltech 1 month ago
the arch-mage robes make ALL spells cost less
smartypants0425 1 month ago
@smartypants0425 Yeah but unfortuanatly it doesn't get the cost down enough only 15 percent. So if you wear 3 other peices at 25 percent, and then that at 15, it won't be 100 percent. :(
Helltech 1 month ago
I didn't read all of that stuff in the description, but does your enchantment skill have to be really high to disenchant a Novice Robes of Destruction?
CJGam3s 1 month ago
@CJGam3s You can disenchant anything at any level, but you won't get a high percentage on new enchanted items unless your skill is high.

ahhh crap. This game is so broken! Now why would I even want to use my sword again, knowing that I can do this? :(

Question for anyone: if I enchant a piece of armour, then sometime later get 100 enchant so I can get 2 enchants on a piece, would I be able to enchant that armour for the second time?
TheFlamingChips 1 month ago
@TheFlamingChips I'm like 97 percent sure you can't enchanting something already enchanted. You gotta do it all at once.

i have one perk left do u reckon i shuld get 2 enchantments or the thing that means my bow shots take 30 %less time please please reply
Cardiff098 1 month ago
@Cardiff098 30% less time is very good... but 2 enchantments can bring you very far...
i have a char with 47% extra archery damage enchantments on 4 pieces... 188% extra archery damage... and on every piece another enchantment...
it depends on you other skills what you should take
mahe4 1 month ago
@mahe4 how/where did u get 47% archery enchantment or i suppose 23 % cus u probs have the perks anyway where did you get it
Cardiff098 1 month ago
@Cardiff098 i enchanted stuff witch fortify alchemy
the i created fortify enchantment potions
the whole process 2 times
and i got fortify enchantment potions so i could enchant for 47% archery a piece
mahe4 1 month ago
@Helltech your gay, ok now that i have your attention, nice vid and you can make those potions to make enchanting more powerful and then enchant gear with alchemy bonuses and make more powerful enchantion potions and do this forever by repeating steps and then make gear with like millions of damage points. :) I haven't as i think that its unfair to the game but im gonna get 100 enchanting tomorrow so i can have 0% cost on spells :)
TheErictodd 1 month ago
@TheErictodd Yeah, I'm aware, tried to myself and doesn't seem worth the time it takes to do. There was a couple peple who already had a conversation about it in my comments way back when I posted this video two months ago. But hey if you got the time and patience its all worth it.
Helltech 1 month ago
I tried this with absorb spells on a sword, and it doesn't seem to work, even though those are listed as destruction spells. Maybe the wiki is wrong.
jkwerner010 1 month ago
@jkwerner010 I think you may have put destruction cost down, but absorbs i dont think it destruction. hope that makes sense...

I only get 23 % ??? Every perk unlocked??
Randybalma 1 month ago
@Randybalma Make sure you're using a Grand Soul, not just a Grand Soul Gem. Usually when its 23 percent its because you're not at 100 Enchanting, but you said every perk unlocked so that isn't it.
Helltech 1 month ago
You can use arch mage robes too right...?
malascar 1 month ago
@malascar Not sure what you are askng, the Archmage's Robes are a unique item. You can't disenchant them. They only have 15 percent less to cast so they don't really help you too much when you need 25 percent less to cast on each peice.

@Stormhawk7777 Thats becuase of the potion I used. You will notice at the beginning of the video its 100, and 115 after the potion was used. Thats how the enchanting potion works.
