This version reminds me that there a great artist out there who can cover a great Effing song and NOT Eff it Up, but actually do it justice....rock ur effing hearing aids off
Refleck, Shawn's. Classic. Why he had to re-write the melody in the verse is beyond me. That's idiotic. Not to mention droping the melody from harmonica. Do it on a different instrument, sure - but loose those two - you have a crap metal song.
@lifecutshort I don't really see how, just cause its not a stripped down single guitar does not take away from the feeling, if anything zakks amaxeing voice just adds to it
true. i like the original too, but if they were in a fight with prison rules, this one would kick the old one's ass! haha that was partially a quote from the movie "Hot Rod". btw
@chevyv8HD I guess that depends on your point of view..
This song, in it`s day, a way back when, and first heard... was/is just a great piece in it´s simplicity, a kind of magnitism in the music and feel of the time.. Neil Youngs music, from his early days,is timeless, even to this day... Respects

A great song is a great song, no matter who sings it, personally I think Zakk does it with a little more emotion/passion

Great feeling!! It has something that goes straight to your guts.
Since I heard this cover I preferred it over the original by Mr. Young, even when I like it also.

@VikingPureBloodKing this version takes away from the organic, honest feeling Young created with this song. your name is VikingPureBloodKing.

I wouldn't say that, but I agree Zakk's version is done only the way Zakk could do it.
