I have the AKG 200 and I notice that it has too much natural EQ. My "S's" and "T's" are so stressed so when I go to mix it with the music adding EQ it's waaaaaaayyyy too much.
the mic works but its not very clear or studio sounding or loud for that matter.. when i add instrumental it's even quieter and when i add an EQ to make it louder it makes the quality drop and sounds all scratchy and rough.. help?? urely this has happened to everyone but everyone has probably figured out a way to get rid of it but i tried and dont know how

Your gonna need a Phantom Power preamp for these mics, check the Behringer Xenyx 1202FX or anything thats says this mixer has phantom power 48V. It will be on the XLR input which is a balanced line
@coldhearte859 its better for you to use some inferface with one input ( just for microphone ).. becouse if buy mixer you would have to buy sound card....
I use AKG wireless presenter and ive had it two years and ive never been happier. The clearest sound ever. When you listen to the recording it is like being there.
if you plan on expanding your studio go for the mixer, BUT if you want everything to be Internal as in your computer. because of the digital era, you should go with a interface, like a tascam us 144. it has 2 mic inputs, phantom power and its USB, very conbinient!
the rubber piece is tied around the metal circle so when u jump or walk into the room.. the shockmount will avoid contact between you're steps and the mic;) i have the Samson C03U mic and shockmount for it:P
