Hey Pasquale! It's Ian! I found this by searching for animation videos on Youtube. That's some really nice work, I really like the snappy action of the robot, and the way the foxes move!
Interesting animation short of "what might have happened." The I agree with others' comments though: Siberia in June is very green and sunny - you depict it as a cold snowy day.
A 17 megaton meteorite impact? Or the detonation of the robot lab? Both are on the irritating side, albeit, but you may want to be just a bit more specific.
Or were you referring to the author's animation? Or his choice of music? The sound effects? How about the topic matter.
Come to think of it, the only irritating thing I can see here is your comment. Huh.
oh man... its hard for me to explain in english but... both america and russia are in the northen half of the globe, so in US, europe, china, russia etc summer is at the same time... while in australia, which is in the southern half of the globe it is winter.. you dont even need 6th grade studies if you can picture the how the earth looks..
thetiktokman: I did the story and sound for this film, but I can't remember if Pasquale was responsible for the dodgy location research (or lack thereof), or if it was my fault. Either way, sorry! As Canadians, we should be sensitive to geographical over-generalizations, such as the ignorant notion that Canada is all igloos and snowshoes year round.
Yeah, I'll totally take the blame for this one. My bad!
er... June is summer in Siberia. No snow. I've been there and it's fucking hot in summer! The clouds of hungey mosquitoes are a nightmare. In other docos note the protective head net that Kulik wears and the LACK OF SNOW! HELLO?
That was really sharp! Nice drawing style and great shot compositions. I've saved this to my favorites - a collection of the best original animation on YouTube. Stop by and browse if you like.
A cool and learning video. Now we realy Know what happend in Tunguska 1908. I'm woundering wich program you used when you did this video. Hope you can answere.
I think it was in my top 1 for that year. It still boggles my mind. Are you working with all those chums in edmonton still? I hope things are going well! cheers - aaron.

ha ha! okay okay, I admit! I completely forgot about the title until the film was almost done. Little bit of an oops. But snow fit well for the mood.

cool, but investigator couldnt find any explosion mark in the ground of tunguska. the 'thing' explodes on mid air. it's almost believable.. almost, :)

it's nice but it's totally wrong - it doesn't snow there in summer. And Siberia isn't just eternal freeze.

that's true...but in this film it is :)

hahaha... that's what animation is about... If you want it to snow on the moon, you have the freedom to create that...

I hope you got top marks from Sheridan college.
