Saw him last night at the Canada Day(Dartmouth Commons/The Water Front) party here in Dartmouth ,Nova Scotia. I must say he was wickedly awsome to party w/ cuz he made everyone get up and jam hard..Joel u r one awsome Canadian artist to make it and keep Canada proud of our artist....Love ya bud and hope to see u live again!!!!!! Sherrie Lynn Butcher-Rhyno July 2nd 2010
I was there, and it was wicked. Sarah Harmer, Gordie Johnson and Ian from Thrush Hermit were also there last night. The horseshoe shows were awesome!!!
is it kelowna or toronto he says he hates? and obviously gord was being a politician on either one and changed the words. which was it though? sorry i'm dumb.
i love how joel can take anything and put it together and ad names of places in the middle of a song and gord what can we say about you two of canadas best musicans
man i was just sitting around pickin some random shit and i started playing this song.. its been a little wile but joels the shit and this is an awesome song
Man, that was such an awesome (week of) show(s). This was definately one of the most memorable moments. Personally my favourite was when the opening act came back out with guitars and mandolin in hand at the end of "Light of the Moon" at the Down at the Khyber show. Joel played with them, they played with Joel. Lucky bastards!
how drunk were the people here.. the constant yelling is a little annoying (well, on youtube at least.. could have been part of the atmosphere if you were there I guess)
@Heinekren I will attest not only to that the folks there were well liquored, but also that come on, Joel and Gord offer a once in a lifetime experience you can't help but enjoy. It was an excellent night.
i moved from the maritimes to Vancouver a year ago - and seeing this right here makes me cry. Joel Plaskett looks like my an old dear friend and the first time i met Gord i was down at Harbour Station. I miss my town. I miss my home. I gatta come home soon. And i love the verse about Kelowna. hehehehe
Why do almost all videos of this song on YouTube are missing the first few lines?
Weird.

If you were at a Joel show, and Gord himself jumped on stage, what would you do?
It wasn't that annoying at the time, but my little camera doesn't exactly do audio any favours.

Wow, Joel Plaskett is awesome, but if I was him, and Gord Downie was on stage singing one of my songs with me, I'd be shitting my pants.
