Even after 20 years as a bruce fan, I still cant stop thinking the opening music sounds just like Meatloafs Bat out of hell.

yea ur right,a lot of the reason is because roy bittan max weinburg and most of the e street band are playing on the album bat out of hell,the producers were definitly striving for that bruce type sound on top of that

Jim Steinman has called Bruce an "inspiration" and oddly, Roy BIttan and Max Weinberg appear on Bat out of Hell. I have always loved the fact that No Surrender(one of my absolute favorite Bruce tunes) sound like Bat out of Hell, or vice versa. I'm a huge fan of both so it's all good.
