You mean it doesn't look like a modern piano. This what pianos looked and sounded like 200 years ago. Monica is playing her 5 1/2-octave fortepiano built by Paul McNulty in 2000. It's modeled on designs by the Viennese instrument-maker Anton Walter from the early years of the 19th century.
