  • 69s are slow

  • @xXCannonXx funny guy this guy!

  • That isn't racing.. Do it from a dead stop and then lets see the results.

  • @rotax7804

A race is what two people agree to, go live your life a 1/4 mile at a time Vin

  • @slackerm1 would still be interesting to see these two cars from a dig

  • @rotax7804 So then when the nascar cars cross the start line and the flag is dropped those car arent racing ?? racing is any agreed upon speed contest.

  • Nice race!!

  • man those are two nice motors

  • That '67 was kickin ass for losing so bad on weight and aerodynamics.

  • omg! so many excuses! great racing

  • killer race too! aint gonna see any mustangs in that pack ; )

  • wow 670 lift solid roller...thats ridiculous for a small block street car

  • SICK RACE!

  • cool race :D

  • I'm not trying to troll, but whatever happened to real drag racing "dead stop". 4.10 gears really aren't ment for 40mph roll races. Both are very nice camaros though.

  • @meandragon04 I agree with you. I want to say it's the "manly way" but I'm asking for thumbs down. I suppose a rolling start is fair play, but if someone really wants to see how their car does off the line, then they should do it at a stoplight. (or a drag-strip).

Muscle cars were all about stoplight racing :P A 454 + 4:11 gears spelled certain doom for other cars. Same goes with the 440+6

  • theres no loser when both racers are in a camaro :D

  • What kinda wheels are on the 02 Camaro?

  • @Gexxer1000

    Budnick Hammers

  • is ur camaro on streetfire against a 02 camaro zs8 and a 02 camaro ss?

  • @Joshua8336

Aint mine, but yes it is, although it was having some problems that night

  • That was a hell of a race!!

  • Wow...4:10's and a 4 speed! Some low gearing! Both cars sound amazing

  • That was a good race, by a fender almost the whole time!

  • I love both of these cars!

What a sound when they both open up! Heaven!!!

  • Damn that 1st gen pulled alot harder than i expected

  • great race to close

  • throw out the 355 and put in a 427,,you`ll have something then,,if you can get any traction...LOL

  • @xpfuzz Go with the 454. It's like they say, there's no replacement for displacement.

  • @pfleeger2010 I`m kinda old fashion,,i went with a full roller 427 in my 67,,makes me happy every time I put my foot in it....LOL

  • @xpfuzz Very understandable.

  • The 572 is def. a beast for sure. could never afford that though! That 67 ever been down the track? Sounds good.

  • '02 started first it really wasnt that fair of a race if you dont like what i have to say you can suck it

  • Actually the nastiest motor GM ever made was the ZL1 10.60s bone stock NA.

    That was back in 1969

New ZR1 makes great power but needs boost to do it.

  • @1355550 i think the baddest was the 572. never seen it in a production car, but for 15k... it makes some damn good power.. definitely not a SBC though!

  • good run,but shows the difference in technology. the 67 is a built engine with a solid roller and 12.5 compression which means not pump gas compared to the winning ls1 car with bolt ons on a stock motor! both are awsome but take the ls1 out of the newer car and put it in the 67! and the ls1 was getin 20+mpg while the 67 was guzzilin cam2 @ $6 a gallon)

  • @BLACKLACDTS

The LS1 is not a bolt on car, it's a heads and cam car. It made 31 rwhp more. The average run of the mill LS1 will make more power than the average run of the mill SBC.....but all out race stuff the SBC/BBC SBF/BBF stuff is still ahead.

I can also assure you that the LS1 was not getting 20+ mpg at wot.

  • @slackerm1 i didnt mean at wot i meant in genral.and i consider those parts bolt ons. there is no bottom end work.the heads are factory gm castings. yea the big blocks should be ahead as they can handle 700+ cubic inches in race blocks. if you mod a ls1 5.7 and a 5.7 sbc with the same parts the ls1 will dominate it in power. a stock ls3 makes 430hp which would take many parts to do that with any stock cubic inch sbc. and the stock ls7 427 is the nastiest motor gm has ever produced! amazing.

  • @BLACKLACDTS Older engines can be built to make the same power with 9:1 compression and run pump gas, this particular guy just wanted a 12.5:1 motor. I am dipping into the 12s with 9:1 compression on crap economy tires, with 87 octane fuel, and my setup is really very mild.

  • @gtdrummerdude i love all engines! old and new 4cyl to v12. but the new LS GM motors are second to none. there is very very few if any old motor that gives the bang for the buck of a LS motor. theres cam and bolt on ls2's with 550hp and those same mods on a ls7 is a 700hp monster! if you did the same mods on a ls3 and a 400 sbc the ls3 will out perform and get better mileage. even a ls3 with a cam, bolt ons vs a big block will be close.bb mite out torque it tho.

  • @gtdrummerdude sounds like you have a cool ride but the new camaro is capable of 12s on street tires from the factory. theres stock ls1 cars dippin 12s. my ls2 has 400hp and same torque and its with the few mods it has maybe a lil more. but it pushes my 5000lb all wheel drive suv into the 13s and gets 20mpg. the performance this motor has would take a few mods out of a 350 or 400 small block to achieve 420hp. i still love a nasty 434 sbc but i like the 454 LSX 600hp crate motor a lil better.

  • @BLACKLACDTS There is no magical equation to engines. LS engines make good power because they are built with high compression, big ports, big vavles, plenty of cam etc. I have raced several new Camaros at the local drag strip and had no problem staying ahead all the way through the traps with an 800 dollar car. Any engine should make good power when it costs what an LS engine does. LS1 makes 1hp/c.i.d.. My mustang with junkyard heads, stock intake manifold and a smooth idle makes 1hp/c.i.d. also

  • @gtdrummerdude can you go into detail about your car please? i ould like to know everything about it.

  • @BLACKLACDTS 1982 302 engine flat-tappet camshaft (.498/.498 222/222 110 lsa- $120), stock iron "GT40P" heads from 1999 Explorer with TFS springs ($220), short tube headers ($75), Edelbrock emissions legal stock replacement carb ($220), Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold ($50), 8.97:1 comp, 87 octane fuel, stock T5 trans, 3.73 gear (free). 2850 lbs race weight + 310 hp = tickling 12s @ 107 mph on 205/65-15 economy street tires- Firestone FR380 lol.

  • @BLACKLACDTS I paid $800 for the car plus $330 for an engine rebuild kit and $500 for the T5 trans rebuilt. Total of $2,315 plus odds and ends (gaskets, fluids, etc) and she starts right up every time, runs smooth, gets 18 mpg in busy city traffic and probably ~25 mpg on the highway . 87 octane gas ALWAYS. Ignition timing is set to stock specifications (12 BTDC) and the carburetor is untouched- pulled it out of the box and bolted it onto the car.

  • @gtdrummerdude im guessing its a fox body mustang? anyway your doin very well for the setup you have. and are they the b cam specs? foxbody stangs are disclosed from this conversation cause they do miraculious things with lil power. i had a 91 gt stock 120k mile 302 with b cam, shorty headers and o/r exhaust,3.73s only a alternator belt aka "shortbelt",stock weight,t5,drag suspension on et streets ran 12.90s at 105mph. note only a cam done to motor.lol i have a stock 93 5.0.

  • @BLACKLACDTS

That LS1 didn't sound stock at all. you can clearly hear the size of the cam he had in there

  • @jasonneal its not stck. it has a cam, worked heads and intake. but its still a stock bottom end.

  • @BLACKLACDTS

i beleive it, i have a 2001 cobra with a vortech running 14psi, all i did was change out the pistons to a friendlier 8:1 comp. the rest is stock except some bolt on like header, flow masters and 4:10 gears. i put down 513rwhp and 486rwtq

  • @jasonneal the ford 4valve mod motors love boost. you probaly can make more power with that setup. i would suggest you do the 03-04 cobra crank if you plan anymore boost.

  • @BLACKLACDTS

sounds like a good investment. my next upgrade is a set of cams that work with the blower and head work, better springs, porting. as far as more boost? i want to see where this combonation lands me before i add more boost. i need to get the trany fixed first. 3rd gear sinkrow is out

  • @jasonneal still the stock trans? shit to be honest i would wait to do the crank unless sumthing comes apart in the motor. what about the 03-04 cobra cams? they would do good for your setup

  • @BLACKLACDTS

yep, still stock trans with a stage 2 ram clutch... i have to go in and put in new throw out bearings. 3rd gear went out so i'm gonna change all of them and see what else i can do to beef up the tranny while it's out of the car. as far as the cams, the 03-04 would work well and would be a little cheaper but i looking for a little more performance and some agresive idle being i don't drive the car everyday, thanx for the suggestion,

  • @jasonneal i understand. there tons of options cause of the 4 valve mod motor exp[losion latley. have fun and hope to see sum videos of it soon.

  • @BLACKLACDTS You are a total dumbshit man

  • @irvinemuscles did you learn sumthing today?

  • @BLACKLACDTS Hey dumbshit, you can't even spell correctly. It's something, not sumthing. You are nothing but an uneducated backwoods redneck troll. And you are so fucking stupid. Keep driving your pos Honda and stop talking about things you have no knowledge of. My Supercharged 5.0 only gets 13mpg, just a little more than my 600hp 393 stroker 68 Stang. Anytime you increases Horsepower you sacrifice mileage, you fucking moron. Keep driving you r Honda you Jobless troll.

  • @irvinemuscles who cares about spelling its a video not the fuckin SAT's! i have a 93 mustang lx 5.0 5speed,06 trailblazer ss and a 05 cadillac dts dont see honda there do ya?)you dont know shit obviously. my tbss gained 2mpg by tuning it you dumb fuck! your another guy that claims he has shit he dont. why would you do a 393? go for the gusto clown 427ci windsor or you couldnt afford it? at least a 408! get a life before i embarrass you! you dont have a clue.

  • @BLACKLACDTS Like I said, you are a dumbshit. Not much difference between 393 and 408. 427 wont last as long as 393 on the street, Long stroke and more stress on motor. I don't make shit up idiot, i own what I told you I own. Get a life

  • @irvinemuscles yea not much difference between a 393 and a 408 yea your rite. only 15 cubic inches.lmao dumb ass! me get a life your the lose on youtube harrasing people! now who needs a life? your to old for this shit. fuckin redneck i swear.

  • @irvinemuscles I believe your saying HP=Less miles of the engine if that is what you meant then I agree it does sacrafice some reliability for HP, but that also depends, I have a 99 z/28 that dyno's 528 rwhp, I get about 27 mpg in town and 39 hwy. Also I have been driving this engine as is for about 25k miles now, had to replace tires 4 times, clutch once, and driveshaft twice, but engine still has NP =)

~If you cant drive it then why buy it~

  • @Wankachocho 39 highway...callin BS on that one

  • good race. the 67 held up pretty good

  • its nice to see the first and last generations rolling together. well if dont count the 2010 and up camaros. anyway both really nice. I got 383 in my 67.

  • i love the sound of and old screaming small block. I had a 327 in my 69 that i would shift at 8,000 rpms with a solid roller isky cam. Obviously i had much more than a nice cam in the motor but the sound it would make when it was singing once it got over 7,000rpms was very similar to the 67 in this video. Awesome cars/race

  • Good ol' american muscle!

  • the 67 put up a hell of a fight,cool vid

  • COuple awesome rides, the LSx is going to have the advantage with cylinder heads and aerodynamics but it hung in there pretty well! Nice vid.

  • Good video, sick cars too

  • god dam!

  • The sound of these cars literally gave me a hardon lol.

  • @rextuner03 wierd I thought I was the only that happened to LOL!

  • @14DMNer Lol nope you're not alone! hahaha.

  • what kind of bowties are on that camaro

  • now that is a good sounding car holy shit

  • Sweet race. I had a similar run-in with a 1971 Olds 4-4-2 W30 in my lightly modded 5.0 notchback. It was pretty much dead even just like this race except we were both alot slower than you and this '67 lol. Fun none the less

  • funny to see alot of ppl think just cuz its a muscle car its gotta win, ls based engines have proved what they can really do, and the right setup is the key not the type of car

  • @slackerm1 doesnt the 67 have a 4speed its basicly already at its last gear when goin 40 bro

  • @amarillo454

People dont understand transmissions, 4th gear is 1:1, same as a T56, a T5, damn near any manual transmission. He started in second, same as the SS. I dont know why people get so confused about it being a 4 speed.

  • @slackerm1 I think people are getting confused at that yes, 4th gear on a t56 and t5 are 1:1 same as 4th on any 4 speed transmission. The difference being the ultra high gears of 5th and 6th gears on the newer gear boxes. If a car is set up properly, and is geared properly, I have seen t56's that continue to accelerate without missing too much of a beat in 5th gear. Possibly the case in the above race.

  • @GCSeeg09

.......he never shifted to fifth, almost nobody does in a race

  • @slackerm1 i know of quite a few people with lsx powered t56 cars that shift into 5th on interstate runs as the car still pulls hard into that gear

  • @slackerm1 lol! 1:1 is final drive on any trans pretty much except overdrive guys!

  • @slackerm1 Racing from a roll is for pussy's, who know if they raced that same car from a stop they would get their ass handed to them. Sorry bro, the 67 would of creamed your ass from a dead stop, no fucking problem. My 600hp 68 Stang would of annihilated you.

  • @irvinemuscles

    STFU douchenozzle

  • @slackerm1 Chill bro. What cam do you have in your Camaro, sounds fuckin' nasty. Tell me the specs.

  • @slackerm1 Dude, you barely beat that Camaro, like by a nose or less. If he was a better driver, or if it was from a dead stop, you would be dust.

  • @irvinemuscles

So let me get this straight, since I uploaded the video, you associate me with the car you dont like in the race? That makes alot of sense, idiot. Also, the 67 owner can drive like a mofo, and has a clutch assist transmission, but you dont even know what that means, so stfu, and dont ask. He doesnt dig race, so once again, stfu.

  • @slackerm1 Like I said, racing from a roll is for pussies. Race him from a stop like real man and show your shit, otherwise you're not impressing anyone.

  • @irvinemuscles

So once again, because you hate the 02 SS in the video, you automatically associate that car with the video uploader. You arent smart.

  • @slackerm1 I just think racing from a roll is for pussies, who know they would lose to the same car from a stop. Why don't you race the Vintage Camaro from a dead stop. I know why, cause you'll get your ass handed to you. Only Ricers race from a roll, are you a ricer? Drag is for real men, rolls are for fags.

  • @irvinemuscles

Once again, you are a dirtneck, small brained idiot, who must have just somehow found access to a computer recently. Guess who's idea the race was, BOTH parties. The 67 owner has never ran that car from a stop ever, as a matter of fact, he is a CIRCLE TRACK DRIVER, and gives a flying fuck about drag racing.

Once again as well, because you dont like the 02 SS in the video, you associate ME with that car, thats funny, moron. Think that one out, dumbass.

  • @irvinemuscles

Over 44k hits, somebody must be impressed. Take your4 Vin Diesel "I live my life a quarter mile at a time" redneck, dirtneck ass shit somewhere else.

  • @slackerm1 Race him from a stop you pussy, or are you afraid you'll get smoked.

  • @irvinemuscles

Yes, clearly I must have been driving one of the cars at hand, because I uploaded the video. That makes lots of sense. PS the 02 car had alot more suspension under it at the time, both cars are on 17's, although that has changed in recent times for the 67. Then again, you are the same idiot that has no clue what a clutch assist is, and blame driver on the race. Just STFU and go back to your Hondas, queerball.

  • @amarillo454 Exactly high gear is 1:1 no matter what, well normally.

  • @amarillo454 Exactly, high gear is 1:1 rather its a Munci, T10, whatever.. I will say this though you cant out shift an automatic lol.

  • i bet $100 if it wass frm a stop the 67 would have won no doubt

  • @amarillo454

I dont know, the 67 owner doesnt drag race.....

  • @amarillo454 Would of smoked the newer car from a stop.

  • finally someone actully uses there muscle car instead of leting it sit and just looking at it.nice camaro.

  • Drop that ls in the 67!!! still a bad ass car though

  • I would have liked to have seen that from a dig, but it looks like a driver's race

  • Thats was the most Fucking Retarded race Ive ever seen!!!!!!! Musclecars and roll racing is like black people an hockey it just doesnt work!

  • @thegamefgunit

STFU Vin Diesel, go live your life a 1/4 mile at a time somewhere else douchebag. The 67 isnt a drag car like most of them, it has Baer Brakes, and at the time of the race, 17's......the owner doesnt drag race in this car, or anything else. Stop being a stereotypical youtube fuckbag.

  • @slackerm1 Stop disgracing muscle cars by doing roll races with them. Leave the roll racing for hondas

  • @thegamefgunit

LOL at this nonsense, whatever you say mr Diesel, first name Vin

  • @slackerm1 Ok ricer boy with the wanna be muscle car. That 67 will eat you in a drag race.

  • hell ya!!!!! nice !!!!!

  • sick cars!!

  • tha'ts y i love the lsx motors if u stay with them till the top end you know your done cuz they jsut keep on pulling

  • @kibZ28

Actually, the 67 can be shifted at 8k.......

  • @slackerm1 doesn't mean it makes power there just like everyone else thinking 10000 rpms equals more power not to say taht that particuar car doenst but it got pulled on so.....

  • @kibZ28

It's a solid roller, not some hydraulic cam run of the mill stuff. It's setup to TURN RPMS, way beyond what the average heads and cam LS1 is capable of. Car has a Motown Block as well, it's not some pieced together stock headed clunker of an SBC. Plenty of other reasons he got pulled at the end, one is that an 02 car is much more slippery at 125-130 than a 67, two, even though it makes power up in the RPMs, it still made 31 rwhp less than the LS1 did in this case.

  • That was an AWESOME race!!! ---

  • that 02 looks and sounds like a beast and the 67 is nice also

  • both cars are really nice

  • nice race man both cars sounded like animals !! b

  • 67 is still a better lookin car

  • badd ass cars

  • the newer camaro was more aerodynamic and that gave it an advantage

  • chulada de camaro, felicidades!

  • old school vs new school just goes to show its all about what you have under the hood

  • how much hp does the 2002 camaro have???

  • @JabariXL

I think it was 462 rwhp back then, that was two motors ago lol

  • This is love, great cars & sound!

  • Music to my ears every time I watch it!!!!

  • Looks like 2 evenly matched Camaros, the aerodynamics of the 4th gen. started to show an advantage at higher speeds, cool video!!!!

  • yea 67 just ran outa gear....great race though, neither gained ground rly. best kinda races in my opinion are side by side like that.....gives u the biggest rush ^^

  • wow...one of the best races on youtube.

  • love v8 sound RUUUM!!!

  • dang they are stayed close .

  • jizz worthy, fuckin sick.

  • MAAAAN those cars are mean! I want one XD

  • two bad ass cars!

  • that fucken beautiful old school vs newer school real american muscle cool vid

  • too bad theyre fuckin roll racin

  • American Muscle!

  • What are the transmissions for each one?

  • @pfqyv

    02 SS has a T56, 67 has a G Force G-101 Clutch Assist 4 Speed

  • would have loved to see this from a dig!

  • i mean sexi ass lol i zoned out 4 a sec

  • id rather have that sexi as 67 skvbuijdbewifgwibkjb lol

  • Very Nice!!!!

  • I expected the newer one to walk away, this is a damn amazing video! 5 stars!

  • wowz

  • i think this is my favourite camaro video

    !!!

  • both extremely sick cars!!!

  • Best Camaro Race

  • ik its not very often u see older camaros vs new ones

  • that cool i have a ls1 in mine

  • god bothe those cars are fucking brutal, chevy power

  • any 1/4 mile times for either car???

  • Dont know what the SS would have ran with this setup, he did run it with another setup that made more power and ran 11.0's. The 67 doesnt get run at the track really.

  • DAMNNN LOUDE AS MAN!

  • please will someone tell me the rims on that 4th gen? fiske fm5's?

  • i am a ford fan but

shit this two camaro´s are bad ass sound

  • I'm A Fox 5.0 guy, but that 2002 SS sounds sweet at idle and at high rpm!

  • Moldovamoron- Since WHEN? You are such a lying sack of shit. You have never assembled ANYTHING to completion. And that piece of SHIT Camaro you owned was just that- a piece of SHIT! Anything that you tried to "ASSemble" was from parts you got with a 5 finger discount! The only thing you have accomplished is making an eyesore DUMP of your mother's house & yard. (because you are such a LOSER that at almost 50 years of age you are STILL living with, and MOOCHING off of your mother!)

  • Holy crap...a 12:5 for the Compression ratio...that things a monster...sick...

  • lol my bad i meant dope

  • Nice! well even match cars. sick!

  • i think aero-dynamics won that 1... ; )

  • i think gears won that one honestly, that 4 speed ran out of gears at the end

  • @BeaZt28

?????? They have the same rear gear, same tire height, same 1.00 4th gear, and the 67 turns a bit more rpm.........

  • @slackerm1 im not trying to get technical. just the way it looked. basically just saying it was a good close race.
