This is great, in its own way. But I gotta say, the Banjo is simply not as well-suited for this kind of jazz playing - at least as in comparison to a nice archtop. The banjo, in comparison to a nice jazz guitar, sounds like a cheap guitar with dead, slightly out-of-tune strings on it. That's not at all to take away from this guy's great talent or inventiveness in taking the banjo into places not usually taken. And I say this as one who really appreciates banjo playing.
Nice feel. Very different from the published recordings of Buddy Wachter. I was hoping to hear an entire album of Buddy playing this style, and feel. This is what pushes other banjoists into exploring new sounds. You need to hear Pat Dinneen! Thanks for posting this , Peter Mezoian
