Many white danes descend from negro-slaves. Approx. 5 % of white danes or 250.000 are related to blacks. (numbers are from the 1980's). The numbers today one generation later must be higher. In my family we descends from Lucretia Bourke, who was born slave in 1797. But we have been white for the last 3-4 generations, but we still have letters our foremother, who was born a slave wrote, and we have an old photograph of our coloured ancestors.
