  • I agree with these awards except for 1986 where Sigourney Weaver was ignored. She deserved the Oscar for her marvellous work in Aliens

  • jane wyman born on 1917 no on1914 that's fake

  • you have a picture of jennifer aniston for Holly hunter

  • i can't believe after all those amazing and talented woman, people like Resse Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock were chose as winners, thanks academy for giving away your pity votes!

  • @interlexio i couldnt agree with you more!

  • woooooooow all of them lived a very long life....and successfull!

  • so many of the greats don't get enough attention payed to them today personally though I Think Glenda Jackson's second oscar was joke Barbra Streisand Or Joanne Woodward were better in the parts they played then Glenda was in A touch Of Class

  • I agree with you about Glenda's second oscar. Although I think she is a terrific actress, Ellen Burstyn should have won for The Exorcist. I think the Academy were unwilling to give her an oscar for it (and for best picture over The Sting) because it was controversial. Personally I think they gave Glenda the oscar more for the title of the film than anything else unfortunately.

  • I always think Charlize Theron in Monster goes unnoticed by everyone when discussing who deserved the oscar the most.

Fact: she delivered one of the best performances in cinema history.

  • marion...marion..marion...^_^

    and please..cate blanchett for elizabeth..

i dont know in 05,felicity huffman just thrilled me,reese is absolutely amazing in walk the line, but felicity is way better ..hmmm..and in 01,naomi watts should be nominated in mullholand drive and please put away halle berry..judy dench is over the top in "irish"

  • she won supporting

  • Nope. Meryl won best supporting in Kramer vs Kramer. She won best actress in Sophie's Choice.

  • 2007 Marion Cotillard

    2008 Kate Winslet

  • Thats not holly hunter at 7:54? Is it?

  • No this is a photo of Jennifer Aniston

  • Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, and Meryl Streep have by far the most Oscar nominations, and they are also the finest actresses of all time (I cannot even imagine who could play any of Bette Davis's roles today -- maybe Cate Blanchett?).

The Academy Awards may be sort of silly, and individual nominations controversial, but they succeed in picking out the best actresses over time.

    1976 Sissy Spacek, Carrie

    1977 Diane Keaton, Annie Hall

    1978 Ingrid Bergman, Autumn Sonata

    1979 Bette Midler, The Rose

  • Bette Davis was Robbed so many times!

And this montage goes in the dumper after Helen Hunt, UGH & then Paltrow.

  • I don't think Bette Davis was robbed any of the times she lost, people say she was for "All About Eve" but to me, Gloria Swanson should've won that year for "Sunset Boulevard", a case of having three very strong frontrunners and they all canceled each other out and the weakest link ended up winning, definitely the biggest crime in this category.

I would've wanted her to win for "Baby Jane" but one can't deny Bancroft's amazing performance in "The Miracle Worker".

  • obasz! Are you aware that you have a still of Jennifer Anniston after HOLLY HUNTER'S Name????????!!!!!!!! WTF?

  • hi Mate,

    cool vid,

lol that FLING-CHAT dot COM actually works man! met few chicks allready!

    T61696864

  • My favorite moment was when Halle Berry won! It was the most emotional moment ever...to me personally!

  • my god kate hepburn won alota oscars

  • Yes she did, and deserved every last one of them

  • Sure she did!! she's the best!! Don't you think she deserved a better tribute after she died???

  • The tribute reel wasn't that bad, the audience response was a different scenario.

  • i want to be sure there is no misunderstanding! i'm not talking about the utube video, i love this, i watch it all the time!! i just think that, for example, the oscars could be better than julia robert sayin:" ok!, she was a great actress, and we remember her coz she wearing pants in the 30'!!" Of course i'm excessive, but...:-)))

  • I thought Julia Roberts did a fine job with the Hepburn tribute, the audience wasn't really into it as she was though. They have the tribute on youtube.

  • Not Guess who's coming to dinner or Morning GLory.

  • She deserved every single Oscar she got. Of course, the critics and "historians" will come up with whatever excuse or justification made from preference that makes them sleep at night, but Kate Hepburn deserved every Oscar she got, from her first to her last and every nomination in between.

  • The woman may be the "best actress ever" to some people, but she played the same damn thing everytime.

Did she ever change her voice?

What if she was playing someone who was alive and used her distictive voice, she would be a memory today.

  • wow, for an "expert", you definitely come off as an amateur.

  • How about when I make my Oscar predictions video near the end of January, and you can stop fucking your mom or dad.

  • what? That didn't even make sense.

  • if someone else had katharine hepburn's voice, they'd be a fucking idiot to try to change it.

  • Kate did absolutley NOTHING in GWCTD. Dunaway, Bancroft, and Audrey Hepburn were all much more deserving.

  • Watch that movie again, this time, take away your personal preference, take away what you think you know about acting in film, take away what you know about film, take away what you know about acting, and watch the movie for art's sake. Kate executes her art very well, so well, in fact, that she deserved an award for it.

  • No, still I don't think she was worthy. Anyone else could have played that just as well-and besides, who even remebers her performance, let alone the film itself? Everyone remembers Bancroft's "Mrs. Robinson" and Dunaway's "Bonnie Parker" one of the two should have won.

  • But, in this very discussion, we are remembering all three, including Kate's. Besides, I would have voted for Kate than Bancroft's cougar and Dunaway's criminal anyway.

  • that year Dunaway should have won! She's a natural in Bonnie and Clyde! and so much better than in Network!

  • meryl streep best actress of all times!!!

  • I agree!

  • Great job Obasz.....well done!

  • Nice montage, but I could you put a picture of jenifer Aniston instead of Holly Hunter !!!

    Shame !!!

  • How many times are you morons planning on making the same Jennifer Aniston observation?

  • maybe some people just looked at it! Why are you getting so defensive? Its not like they said, "alessandrokaka1 is in the picture!" Geeze lighten up!

  • jennifer aniston?? ahahah

  • Also, it's Women in Love that Glenda Jackson won for. Not Woman in Love. Great vid otherwise!!

  • 1 thing I also noticed is that you put a pic of Jennifer Aniston as Holly Hunter.

  • I thought that was Jen Aniston~! I looked at it and said.. Boy, that picture sure does look like Jen Aniston~ Good catch!

  • Ok, I swear (really it wasn't a mistake) IMDB used to have the date of her death. Maybe it was a flase rumor, but I still remember the day I went there and saw she died....but I'm happy she's still with us :-)

  • good job!, but Janet Gaynor won for 3 pictures at the same time. Sunrise, Street Angel and Seventh Heaven.

  • is it me or do the women get less glamourous and less charismatic looking as time goes up to the present?

  • They get slutier.

  • sluttier has two t's

  • Times just change. I don't believe they look "less glamorous", per se. There are just different fashions and more diverse films/performances with each passing decade.

  • Louise Fletcher died some years ago.

  • No, she's still alive.

  • No, I believe she's still alive.

  • beatiful

  • erm.. the first pic you have of Holly Hunter isn't... erm.. Holly Hunter... it's Jeniffer Aniston o.O

  • love this piece of music too ... it's from the movie amadeus !! brilliant movie

  • Great work. Thanks.

  • as with the males..great job dude!

  • This is very nice.Thanks.Love this piece of music too.:-)

  • Wonderful!! Hope you update it from time to time. Thank you for doing this. Great job.

  • soon come the next one: best actor in a leading role
